Yes, I enjoyed it very much. More Cradle of Filth, please :)
I'm learning English and I really like the way you interpret it.

I really enjoy her interpretations and explanations also. Schools here in the United States don't teach English beyond simple, basic understanding. It's very refreshing to hear someone with a great understanding of English and literature speak about Cradle of Filth's lyrics so in depth.

Great breakdown! This song is one of my favorites from that record. Dani's raw vocals and his magnificent lyrics are amazing -- no to mention the brilliant instrumentation of the rest of the members from that era like the Ryan brothers, Allender, Robin, Nick and especially the late Andrea who provided that monolog.
Unfortunately this song never got a remake in the Vempire EP and neither in the Bitter Suites To Succubi EP plus it hasn't been played live since 1998.

It was interesting to hear your insights about the song's lyrics and musical structure. The combination of Dani Filth's harsh vocals and the hauntingly beautiful instrumentation really creates a powerful atmosphere that draws you in. Thanks for sharing this great analysis!

This was a wonderful and eloquent reaction and breakdown of these beautiful lyrics. I’ve loved Cradle, and Dani’s control and understanding of the arcane and reframing of religious doctrine since the very early days. I’ve seen them live several times over the last 30ish years, here in Australia.
You’ve acquired at least one new sub this evening, I hope you get many many more. You deserve them.
    I’ll be binging your posts.

But this means two things. Imagine this ftom the perspective of the one that looses everything. Save for the connection with Kali. The connection with Hecate. I adore the dark goddess. All eose is nothing compared to her. thank you for your purposeful illumination
    Please keep making these videos.

This is my favourite song of COF. I like your analysis, anyway, there is another layer of meaning of the lyrics which is only sexual. It is much easier to see it if you are a man, though.

Amazing song and analysis! I love how they portray Eve as another entrancing witch woman, very much like Elizabeth Bathory in their songs. She is also a lot like Lucifer since she is one of the first individuals to question God’s ultimate authority (of course not as much as Lucifer, though). I also love the part which sounds like she is whispering in the Garden of Eden!
And wow, since she challenges restraint, I wonder how your character Yngvar or Ivar would react to her (a male version of her, since he is gay - would that be Eyolf/Ulf? XD)

    • @dr.metalhead5452

Thank you so much for the awesome comment! I love that monologue, one of my favourite song segments ever.
Haha good question. I guess Eyolf is a kind of a male version of her - I think my obsession with witches/religious professionals in my own writing is yet another aspect where I was inspired by Cradle of Filth 😁 I think Yngvar would admire her boldness and thirst for knowledge, but would find her methods questionable. I don't think her spells would have much effect on him though xD
