This was my favorite band in high school. Would highly recommend more songs/videos from them. The recently released a music video, Crawling King Chaos, which a lot of people seem to be reacting to lately. But a lot of their older music videos are still pretty good, not to mention their older songs. Would love to see more reactions to this band!
This is my second son's favorite band. I try to buy him t-shirts for his birthday. He played guitar in a band (Dead Vessel) whose music was similar to this.
Props to you Black Metal is a really misunderstood genre big time even within metal communitypeople just think it is senseless violence but they are all Rob Zombie fans Rob Zombie is the master of this type of music. Mainstream yes but he is also a make you feel the emotion of a victim of sexual assault or murder. Or sny other kind of sick depraved people I found people who find it offensive are th emost violent people I have ever met also very much into bullying others see there friends circle of people just crapping on eachother all day. Same as anti House of 1000 corpses everyone who gets the message and understands it always super nice people it's my litmus test for weeding out the psychos lol.
Oh my dude, you must check out Bathory Aria by Cradle of Filth. Easily their best song, but they have so many great albums. This year is their 30th anniversary as a band. The male singer is Dani Filth who's the only original member left but they're still killing it. Their new album Existance is Futile comes out in October 22nd. The first video from the new album is called Crawling King Chaos. I've been a fan of theirs since '95 and every album is different. The song you just watched is about Hieronymus Bosch's most famous triptych, a painting in three parts or pannels, called The Garden of Earthly Delights. This song is about the right "wing" or right pannel which represents a hellscape; a world in which humankind has succumbed to the temptations of evil and is reaping eternal damnation. This song is from the album Hammer of the Witches, which is a spin on the German textbook for torturing and how to investigate witches during the Inquisitional period, the spin is that the witches have taken revenge on the Inquisitors and their liniage. Every album is different but they're usually what most bands consider to be concept albums. So each album is like a novel. If you would like a lyrical break down let me know.
Agree about the awesome comment. My favorite 3 (can't pick just one) songs by them are Bathory Aria, Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids, and Lord Abortion. Pretty sure I racked up at least 100 listens to each song throughout my high school years. Really wish more people reacted to the band, which seems to be happening with Crawling King Chaos, so that's awesome.

Did you know that the original members of My Dying Bride came from early Cradle lineups? As did Dimmu, Hecate Enthroned, The Blood Divine, and White Empress. They also toured with Emperor, Immortal, Impaled Nazarene, Napalm Death, and Dani also helped Euronomous sign bands to his record label. One such band was a black metal band from Japan called Sigh. Cradle history is fascinating culturally.
So because I'm from the same country as a band then I should know them??? Didn't even know they were from Essex, and judging by their sound they aren't exactly mainstream or played everywhere!

highly recommend her ghost in the fog, it's an older song of there's, but by far one of the best in my opinion.
