Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0, Silver (STDR2000101) - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
If you were wondering why the full 500GB was not available to be used despite the fact he had not downloaded any games it's because the Xbox itself takes up a bit of storage on essential things it needs to run. So you really have less then the full 500GB, 1TB or 2TB depending on which model you get. The Xbox itself needs like 150GB or so just to be able to function on essential things or whatever.
I just got my fist 2tb hard drives for my xbox one s i didn't know what to do so I look on TH-cam and seen your veido and it was very helpful. Thanks
For anyone on here wondering about how the configuration screen shows up it does eventually on its own or go to settings then storage than external storage than configure for games
Orrr. You can avoid all the trouble and use any HDD or SSD with this

I don’t have external storage
Thank you, your video was very helpful.
Thanks I just got mine working I had to unplug my game drive then plug it back in for it to recognize it.
Thanks, very helpful!
Thank you so much this helped a lot
For anyone who has an Xbox one s. You need to plug it in SS1 😄
SS1??
@@1dk822 yeah, on the back of the Xbox where the plugs are, there should be one that says SS1. You need to plug it in there
thanks for advice
Thanks
How do attach it without formatting it. It’s already formatted for games
Does this officially work on Xbox one S? I have the 500Gb
Yes it does there is an video on the official Xbox channel
Thank u
Whenever I use mine it only uses media when I try to change it. It says view content and another thing does anyone know how to fix it??
Didn’t show how to get the page up to set it up u need to unplug hard drive whilst Xbox is turned on for it to recognise it then format it if u want to use it for games
Dude, explain to me how the Xbox recognized the hard drive, your video took a leap and I didn't understand. Cut from one part to another.
Dude, apologies for that. I too had the problem of xbox not recognizing it but all I did was restart my xbox and it found the hard drive. So plug it in, and a full restart of the xbox. Hope it helps. Let me know if it does not and I'll try with my hard drive again. Thanks.
I gonna try. Thank you.
@@ArturLima did it work?
Hi, when you install this, do you have to go into settings & select which one you want to use? Internal or external?
Yes, you do
does it with work all xbox one systems
I have a Xbox one s all digital that had a soldering issue during repair of the hdmi port and I want to salvage the hard drive and turn it into storage expansion for my
Xbox series s is it possible?
im tryna do the same bru 😭😭
@@BopzByVinnyy ong bro 500 gb is ass
My shit don't work brand new it ain't poping up nor allowing me to do it manually
How did you get the propt for configuration to pop up.
It showed up automatically. I think it takes a while to recognize the drive then it should ask you how you would like to use the drive.
BenzSUV I've been having trouble with mine. I've just ordered a new cord but I haven't had the prompt pop up . Fml why can't tech just work right
if you hold A on it in the settings it should give you the prompt on any drive, as long as it's usb 3
Lord you have a lot of games
Do u have to keep the sea gate plug in allll the time??
It makes sense to invade you are updating games or downloading games in the background. I also hear it running at times even when the Xbox is not in use.
did u have to format it, because i don't even have a thing thats says external storage it only says internal, i restarted it alot of times and the LED for the drive will pop up for 15 secs then go away, ive also left it plugged in for about 5 mins and still nothing, i have the 1 tb drive, the only other thing is to format it but u didn't have to for yours so why cant i with mine
I did not need to format it prior to connecting it. The Xbox recognized it and asked if i wanted to use it. You can try formatting on windows fist and then connect it to the xbox.
Did you ever figure it out becuase I am having the same problem.
@@DIYDharma how
For anyone wondering why it doesn’t work, if you have an Xbox one s plug it in the front usb bit not the back ones because it only worked for the front one for me
It still didn’t work for me
aye bless up cause i’ve been sitting here for like 30 mins trying to get this
Hello guys,
I hope you’re all doing well!
I just have a question regarding SSD upgrade on the Xbox one S.
I was trying to replace my internal HDD to SSD but failed to do so. I have already tried all the Xbox offline update and etc and still didn’t work.
Note:
I have the most recent version of the update and it seems like the file OSUI in the Xbox website is an older version which makes it not possible for me to replace my SSD.
What’s my option here?
- I tried to clone my HDD to SSD but didn’t work as well.
Any tips guys? Please help.
I appreciate you all! Thank you!
I don't know dude, but I hope you sort it out soon 😊
I have an Xbox one s will games play straight off the hard drive or do I need to transfer it into the Xbox and play the games. sorry for so many questions I am just confused
Yes you can play from harddrive
What’s the name
It for free for xbox one and computer and TV
Can I take the HDD and put it in my pc?
Should we buy an external drive that says Xbox one on it or does it not matter?
well the creator of the vid is using a seagate one without it saying xbox on it so i think that it doesn't matter
I got a black Seagate 2TB HDD for my Xbox one S 1TB
No one cares
I hate sea gate always issues I went to WD route and it been wayyyyy better no issues at all
Dose it delete all your progress on all games?
no
What happens if I take it off,do all my safe data get deleted or what because I plugged it into the front of the Xbox and I want it to plug it into the one in the back.
I think it gets saved
how long does it take to download games on this
Since this external drive supports USB 3.0, and the XBOX USB port is also USB 3.0, the download should be 5 Gbps. The SATA drive that is in the Xbox is 6 Gbps So the download to the external drive should be similar to downloading to the internal drive.
Here is additional info from Microsoft on XBOX USB support:
beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/accessories/usb-port-use : If you have a USB 3.0 external storage with a capacity of 128 GB or greater, you can use it to hold Xbox One games and apps. Alternatively, you can use the drive to store and play music, videos, and pictures on Xbox One using the Media Player app.
BenzSUV soooo is that fast?
@@juicebocx4217 hahahah
Is it supposed to be blinking?
