I had the chance to visit Giga Berlin. Everywhere were people working in midst of a construction site. Nevertheless every 50 seconds a new Model Y left the factory. It was a fantastic experience.
I'd love to visit Giga Berlin. My last manufacturing tour was of the Mercedes factory in Stuttgart in the 70s. :)
Giga Shanghai makes it in 30s
There is a worrying trend nowadays where my friend is a saint who can do no wrong, and my enemy is a devil who can do no right
The upshot of that, worryingly, is that the devils get plenty of cover.
You’re kinda late to this. It’s been going on for at least a decade
Kinda like this channel when it comes to Toyota.
The trend is not modern at all. Look up "confirmation bias" and "cognitive dissonance". They are part of human psychology and hence have always been with us.
perfect description of communism.
A cousin of a friend of mine works there. He has absolutely NOTHING bad to say about the Berlin factory - quite the opposite actually, as he raves about Tesla.
The same guy previously worked for another manufacturer- who shall remain nameless, though as a hint I’ll just say they were caught telling porky pies. 🤔
so VW?
Ok Elon
what a nonsense. how anyone can say bad over Giga since Berlin is three times less productive than Beijin? Of corse turkish and other muslim are not capable even to achieve this. Berlin is the baddest location for assembly ... it would collapse if no slavic and old german.
Tesla is run like a Bay Area tech startup not an auto manufacturer. It is a very different mindset.
I worked there from 2017-2020. Fremont factory, more than 80% this was their first job. Drink and smoke weed during lunch.. Huge party at lunch...
@@user-ft6bj5tr5n yeah, right....:D
Nice to see some wholesome news about the Tesla Germany factory for a change. SMBH
... it's just propaganda by a biased guy who thinks about his own profit.
A life-long friend of mine worked there (60 years old) He didn’t like the pressure and returned to Ford in Koln.
As a Tesla shareholder, I’m actually delighted to see Tesla have “expectations “ of employees
If you can’t stand the heat? *get out of the kitchen*
Yep. Tesla is not a good place to work if your desired work environment is placid, static, and has a low productivity expectation.
If anyone thinks they could run a massive business like Tesla and make everyone happy….. iv got a Bridge to sell you
I beg to differ, there are always unhappy people that want everyone else to be unhappy too. You can't fix the world. It has nothing to do with running a business. Where I worked, we threw them out.
its all about managing expectations. Working at Tesla is a JOB not a vacation. Engineering grads WANT to work at Tesla on challenging tasks. Everyone is respected and allowed to make suggestions.
I’ve got an offer for the Iffel Tower for you

The lithium mines are sure beautiful though. If China wants everyone in an EV, it MUST be the right path.
@@tygorton lol ....
Thats wonderful to hear. He really enjoyed his time. I read his post. He really benefited from his internship.
...nah...he just tries to secure a future job at Tesla...not knowing that he will suffer from a burn-out eventually.
It’s great that Tesla treats their employees with respect. This may explain the growing productivity of the factory
They respect them so much, instead of carefully managing the ton of valuation they've had and making sure they have enough cash on hand to sustain a demand slump, they just laid off 14,000+ people globally. Yeah, I love my workers. Thanks for putting in all the hard hours. You're fired.
A natural ancillary benefit of those working in AGILE or SCRUM production teams (both used in Tesla and SpaceX locations) regularly give reports of high job satisfaction. That, plus the ability to buy stock at reduced prices (so you OWN some of what you do everyday) seem like Tesla has found balance with the age-old LABOR v. MANAGEMENT struggles (that UAW seem to still vilify).
Watch some vids by Joe Justice who worked at Tesla on lean manufacturing. He said they'd gone through AGILE and "out the other side" They don't use SCRUMs any more but work with mobAI (12-person teams "mobs" supported by Tesla's "Tesla One" AI) on 12 hour shifts (3 days x 12 hour shifts then 4 days off) each mob working to enhance one car system or component to reduce weight by 1g, manufacturing cost by 1 cent, manufacturing time by 1 second or energy draw by 1mW within that 12 hour shift. Normal AGILE is like using flint to make a fire versus a laser beam. See th-cam.com/video/bYlCjHQe0-U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Sev0oRGDohldbKse
An internship for 17 year old in a Tesla factory would be a brilliant experience for him. He is very lucky.
I would love to do an internship at 80 years old Tesla is just the most fantastic EV and I will start the subscription at the end of the month It is more than worth it for the safety. I went thru Atlanta at peak traffic and FSD did a great job Passing. I am still working at fixing CNC equipment and am traveling more than a 1000 miles a week and it is a joy using FSD.
Well I visited giga Berlin last year on a tour and I my impression was of a very efficiently run factory.
What really stood out to me was the lack of people on the factory floor. Everything is highly automated and the only people I could see what managing the systems, and people involved with the logistics of moving parts around the factory. It was a very impressive experience. It was also an exceptionally clean factory and I have to say the giga presses were very impressive too.
So I agree with you, these reports are absolute nonsense. Somebody has good imagination.
Excellent work. I will share your work on X. I don't have many followers but who cares.
Thank you
Volume is too low; please speak up.
It's impossible to reason with people that are filled with irrational hate. They have aready closed their mind.
What? They have Minds?Thought they were Mindless Sheep.Apologies to the Sheep.
Like Tesla lovers.
I think it is nice this person shares his experience. Seeing this person's age, I would leave it at that and not make too much of his words in the media or marketing, large or small. Let this person share his thoughts, enjoy the moment, and leave it that. No speculation based on his words. That puts him in a limelight and crossroads he doesn't have to be in.
This guy has more life experience than most of the listeners, Stop the FUD.
Good info, appreciate the hands-on info, especially nice to hear it from a younger person. I wonder where he learned to be an independent thinker….
Doing good is a totally different thing than blowing your own horn about the good you are doing.
The first is actual good, the second is virtue signaling.
I think Tesla is a truly Good company.
Cap. Tesla workers in germany have it better then 99% of all workers on planet earth
These are union led manipulations
Sam He's 17 years old Come on dude
I'd love to work for Tesla, Twitter or Grok. Unfortunately us tech workers in Ireland have no idea how to apply for decent tech jobs. My recruiter tells me that they have more CVs than roles.
I'm German and grew up close to this factory, I know the people there.
The management is done American style which is opposite to how people act there. In the US you shut up and do your job and 350 million of American people are happy with that.
The German style is to complain, to find fault, do lecture, to try to change things around and to act like you know it all even if you don't.
Interns are supposed to get a chance to see if they would like working there.
So Interns of all people are those who don't have a clue or they would need to be interns.
But going on social media to criticize someone like Elon Musk.
See what I mean???
No wonder german industries fail
Americans are extremely unhappy now. Depression, suicide, addiction, poverty all way up. Americans happy, lol😂
“Grew up” it’s been open for 2 years lol
@@TheNewMediaoftheDawn If you don't pay so much attention to the media, you will feel much better, they are the ones making everyone that listens to them feel bad, I stopped listening to that crap 50 years ago.
He didn't criticize... He praised the staff and said the working conditions are great!!
Should have built this factory in the UK where people would be grateful for the work, not resentful. Just weird. Muxk should be ruthless, if there are any more major disputes, shut the factory down and reopen in the UK. It will hurt short-term but you don't want the shite long term. Unions no longer control the UK- nobody wants the same crap we had in the seventies- mass unemployment because of the thicko unions
Definitely messed up.. fewer environmental idiots, unions neutered, high output
He wants to be inside EU to be able to ship to EU countries easily. NL did make an offer t him to, we would have loved to have him.
That's It. I'm applying.
10% just laid off with no notice across the board. Tesla is such a great company to work for! Just wait.
Companies don't give advance notice of layoffs. Your expectations don't fit our reality.
Awesome Sam!
Haven't we heard in previous videos how all these 'inspiring individuals' will soon be replaced with robots?
Are you working for Tesla?
People hate Elon mainly and then transfer that hatred to Tesla. As long as both perform, who cares. Reality cancels woke. (Pun intended.) I almost said "Reality trumps woke." But, I can't use "reality" and "trump" in the same sentence.
Why would anyone hate someone they don't know and never met?
@@tedmossDid you ever meet Hitler, you deplorable?
@@tedmossI never met Hitler or Putin
Do you read what he says? 😳🥹😬
At 17 years old as an intern perhaps he has more work experience than anyone realised, or perhaps his attitude didnt fit the getting out of bed and having to do some work for a change take your pick of the answers
Binance might be the next stop for Weewu if the presale rumors are true.
The experience of one person who was an intern, over the work force of Tesla. Come on Sam. Im starting to think you're a sycophant
The work force recently just had the opportunity to vote for IG Metall reps to control the Works council at Tesla Berlin. The union did not get a majority. The work force of Tesla voted for independents and management people.
He was talking shit cheers mate
Where's the link to the intern's statement?
The people posting bad press are operatives or have a political motivation. Period. If it was as bad as they said, no one would work there.
Doesn't follow. People work there because they are needy. Just look at how many people work in Germany companies...even though they know these are Nazi companies which never have been held responsible...but they all will.
You mean, like Amazon ?
You should know, that Tesla built Gigafactory in Germany, because they got huge subsidies from German government. But Gigafactory is located near Berlin, because Tesla wanted to hire workers from (former) East Germany and Poland, who are significantly cheaper. There are number of stories of people from Poland working in Gigafactory saying, that work conditions are OK, but travelling to work there from Poland makes the whole business barely worthwhile.
Every country will give Tesla subsidies to build a gigafactory. Especially if in a poor part of the country that has high unemployment.
The union IG Metall has set up an office just down the road from the factory. They constantly complain about low safety standards and employee health issues. This is all denied by the local government who regularly carry out inspections at the factory both planned and unplanned. They note that the factory has better statistics than the industry average.
The union says it´s too automated, companies like VW can´t compete (IG Metall has many union members at VW) Tesla should employ more workers. At one stage the union claimed 40% of the employees were off sick. The union made a big push to get control of the works council in a vote among the employees; they failed to get control.
Unions caused problems with Amazon logistics so they set up in Poland paid the Poles a lot less money to deliver goods in Germany. Brandenburg is 90 minutes drive from Poland and pays a much better salary.
People should listen to whistleblowers and ask very serious questions. Especially those who ‘love Tesla’ and are investing in the business.
I know two people who work for Tesla in the US, nothing but positive things to say about the company. I see no reason why Tesla would treat people differently in another part of the world.
Rumored Binance listing for Weewu? This presale could be your best bet.
keeping corolla
Do you even know what an intern is?
It is some one who works for a company quite often unpaid to learn about the company. So why wouldn't they show him all the different parts of the manufacturing process.
I would trust the word of the intern and not the rhetoric of those that hate change and innovation.
No need to make things up. We know that Tesla are leading edge in manufacturing methodologies and are operating at a profit. It's not simply about the hard slog on the production line. It's about the innovation of manufacturing methods and being smarter about how things are done with less effort. It's about simplifying the production process, cutting waste and managing costs. Tesla excels at this like few other conventional labour intensive auto manufacturers.
Sam, the Grünheide govt officials really wanted this Tesla factory, as there were no local jobs. The German car manufacturers are responsible for the negativity and the so called "environmentalists" (not) who "protest. (hint: they are paid). Same with"Big Oil " and existing OEMs here in the US. Tesla factories are high pressure high payoff, you can implement your ideas on the spot and be involved in cutting edge production. Tesla workers get Teslas at a discount and they get stock. Some Fremont, California factory floor workers are millionaires. I am sure this is stressful too. Not perfect for everyone. Grünheide govt officials saw this correctly as the future, and they wanted part of it.
Every company has a percentage of negative people who only criticize. That's why every few years or less they have to be let go. If not they will drag everyone else down. Other companies should do the same.
I was in a bruegers bagels by the tesla location in cali and I overheard some of the entitled shits talking about their internship experience, and to be honest, if they have an issue with the things I heard then whining about, they would be better off ruining someone else's company.
This young man is a" Whistle While You Work "kind of happy person. The grumpy old men syndrome is evident by those who want to degrade the enthusiasm the 17-year-old has to learning the challenges of working In the futuristic Tesla factory.
Binance's interest in Weewu could turn this presale into a goldmine.
Not much point expanding production when you don't have buyers for the cars you're making already.
Working at Gigafactory Berlin: where the cars are electric and the morale is positively charged! ⚡️😄
Gigawin is coming soon to Tesla
Shares of Tesla fell as Wells Fargo said the EV maker is likely to see no sales growth in 2024. The bank cut its rating on the stock to underweight and lowered its price target to $125 from $200. Tesla's struggling to sell cars even as it lowers prices in various markets, and that's affecting its profit.
Tesla board member says Musk doesn’t mind bankruptcy if a rival builds a better car: ‘That’s his philosophy’.
Looking at the comments i can see many of you did not watch the video! SMH
Yah I caught that too. Just a bunch of trolls as usual.
Isn't Tesla the largest employer and very eco minded? Is their economy that strong? Compare to other employers/opportunities?
Such a warm fuzzy story. Meanwhile Elon is laying people off with 0 days notice.
Debate EV Guy Australia, I double dare you!! Chicken?
Morning mate I'm late
It was a very bad choice putting a factory in Germany, location near Berlin made it even worse and since then Tesla is running into mishaps one after the other...
Cold hard facts. Safety is the only thing. If you are not operating your business safely, no matter how much profit you are making, it's simply not worth the cost of human suffering. It doesn't matter how great your EV is if no one wants it because of what was involved in its building. What do you have. ? I don't care about the price. If it doesn't have a minimum of 500 miles in range in the coldest part of winter and if it takes more than 10 minutes to recharge, that will be a hard "No" from me.
Well, it's the most safe car in the world and I have never heard of anyone who died at any of Tesla their factories.
On your other wishes, I guess a train suits your wishes the best, I don't know any helicopter, car, or name it that can do such a thing.
@rowanbroekman3929 sometimes you have to consider the sorce. Safety procedures are there for a reason. Sometimes, life altering injuries don't make the headlines. What's worth what in your circles. Still not buying ANY EV, don't care who makes it (BYD will always be a hard no no matter the price or capabilities for obvious reasons) until I get the performance I want.
@@earth2006 There is no news, there is no death, so there is no source. If it would happen I'm confident it would be worldwide news. There doesn't exist any car like that, so essentially you're saying you will never buy a car.
That's certainly possible, I will most likely also never buy a car since I expect full self driving to become a thing the coming few years. That will become a taxi service cheaper then owning a car for most.
Having experienced large companies and state agencies and working for them, I would say it starts at the top. Without a good leader, you have a very poor performing company or agency. Apply this idea to the union.
Tesla have the best leadership in the industry.
"Meet the kid who got a Neuralink internship as early as his 14 years of age from Elon Musk himself! That's not all, 'Tesla Kid' also gives the world Gigafactory Berlin updates!"

*Thats a good example of modern Germany* 🇩🇪
Bah. 17 year old? His first exposure to the working world? I remember when I was 17 years old and my first job in manufacturing. There is a lot drama and a 17 year old would be wide eyed on all of it.
I thought you were leaving
Lost a lot of money with Tesla. Be careful, demand is tanking. Future is questionable.
They didn't work at the factory before it was there so why work there now if it's a problem.
Tesla is a great place to work
Hail mein Elon? They are producing throw away cars, which is very bad for the environment.
Maybe those who adore and love him like yourself can't see the real facts that are going on..love is blind
Anyone/any company criticizing/complaining about Tesla being evil is due to jealousy.
that sounds kinda cultish... and im a model 3 owner. hop off elon's meat
How old are you?
Plenty of self loathing projection involved, maybe some nationalism in Germany.
I've asked hundreds why they hate Elon--they don't know, not one good answer ever from that side, but propaganda works, none of us are immune to it.
Valid point, given Tesla is dominating, don't listen to the guy above, he seems to want to discredit you using ageism, very "mature" of him!
Anyone/any company criticising/complaining about the Nazis being evil is due to jealousy…
^thats what your comment sounds like. Criticism is criticism, not jealousy or any other emotion.
I despise Elon but I like Tesla car and one day I hope to buy model 3 despite its stupid shortcomings. It the only efficient car it seems - at least for now. As for the happy factory workers I’m not sure, maybe they are workaholics and like to have little rights. Who knows?
Lol what do you mean they have little rights? Ah, the media convinced Tesla, as a company, is bad despite many love working for the company. Lol
you despise musk because you listen to the main stream media. Been there done that.
Tesla’s employees have the most autonomy in the car industry
Then why is Tesla laying off 10% of the people? Answer: because sales are slowing down and are not meeting expectations.
I say remove the bad apples and replace with robots. The former employees can stay home and watch their favorite daytime soap and go to the soup line.
I was a big Musk fan. I love what he has done with Tesla and with SpaceX. However, I always said that I probably wouldn't want to work for Elon. I have no doubts that he is not a good employer. More recently though I have gone off Elon Musk in a big way. Since he announced that he was going to buy Twitter my opinion has started to slip. Then he wasn't just going to buy it but he would let Hitler (sorry I mean Trump) back on the platform. Then he shows his support of Putin and Russia's propaganda. He's like everyone. He is a mixed bag. Some really good and some really bad. He is an extreme though. Most of us have limited impact for either the good or the bad, but Elon is huge and everything about him is huge. the good is huge. We would not be where we are in the transition to electric transport without him. We would not have the cost of launch to space falling as it is without him.
The bad is huge too. He now owns twitter (Calling it X is just stupid) and he is using it to promote and spread absolute evil. He may be actively helping Russia in their invasion of the sovereign nation of Ukraine. F
I totally agree. When you buy a Tesla, you are not just buying a good car but also supporting Musk and his wicked political views and also supporting evil Putler. We vote with our money. Remember that.
People seem to forget that before Elon Musk flippantly spread conspiracy theories on X, he was slandering people publicly. I don’t expect either to stop. I CAN tell you that if someone called me a pedo publicly, they wouldn’t make it into court.
Best comment!
Why is there a strike in Sweden or is this information false
Union IF Metall (affiliated to IG Metall) called for a strike by 130 mechanics, only 13 went on strike, lots of sympathy strikes by other unions. No impact on Tesla Sweden. Tesla employees rejected Union representation, happy with their current employment contracts and working conditions. UAW in US trying to get representation at Tesla, not succeeded so far.
Do you think he is just hoping to get a permanent job by whatvhe said.
Germany is such a pain in the a$$. Should have never built the factory there.
The word is ludicrisp!
It's very simple. If you don't like working in the giga factory, then leave. Find another job.
So, they tell me to not buy Tesla, instead I should buya BYD where in china the workers, work 6 days a week 12h a day for minimum wage.
Uyghur forced labour and cheap coal from Australia keeps prices low. Crap build quality though...
Tesla just announced that they are going to cancel the low priced Tesla.
And they will lay off 10% of the employees...
Oh…..hold on……more haters creating FUD
Seems aok.
Let’s address the REAL issue:
Why does Elon Musk spread conspiracy theories?
This should not be dismissed.
I am a supporter of Tesla and EV tech.
I’m also concerned about successful people who lie.
Elon is tired and smoking too much mexican herbs.
Too many Tesla's are being built. Today Tesla said 10% employees will be laid off. The German factory has way more capacity than needed.
You've lost the plot.
no such thing as hell or for or etc
You always sound quiet.. can you get a better microphone?

17 year old intern?
i wouldn't take the word of an intern. Too green to really understand the stat of affairs.
I suspect you know the difference between empirical and anecdotal evidence so a video citing the short experience of a seventeen year old intern just comes across as yet another Tesla/Musk puff piece to me.
I don't think so either

We are all just slaves.
Disgruntled... employee
tesla can't run a german factory the same way they do in China lol
Agree, no Uyghur forced labour in Germany.
Musk can replace all the workers with robots... and still... not sell an electric car below $40,000. He could get the cost to manufacture a Model 3 down to $20,000... $15,000.. and but still, not sell an electric car below $40,000... Just think of the possibilities for... Musk... fanboys.
