    I’ve been waiting a year for the dynamics video! When’s it coming out 🥺

    These videos make it look so effortless and easy. However, that’s not the case. There’s an array of different cables, different triggers that require different sort of cables for the Roland, and one wrong button that completely screws everything up. It’s a bit confusing, but I appreciate this video. Thank you.

    Hi. My kick trigger RT-30k double triggering. :( Anybody knows how to solve?

    Hi! Love your videos! I went and got the same setup but I am getting latency. The triggered samples are 200-600 samples later than the live kit. Did you not have that problem? Do you know how I could fix it? I’m triggering an MPC and also recording midi. Both are late.

    Balanced (stereo) or Unbalanced (mono) cable JACK 1/4 for ROLAND DUAL RT-30?

    Hey Bob! SPD-SX seems to favour the head trigger over the rim trigger with the RT-30HR. If I play a rimshot, only the head trigger sound plays. Rim clicks and cross-sticks trigger the rim sound. Is it possible to get a rimshot to play both triggers 3 & 4 simultaneously? Cheers from Canada

    If you don't mind, I have a question -this his is all new to me. In a live setting, let's say you have a trigger on the snare and you want to trigger claps with the acoustic snare sound, but only on the chorus. How would that work? How would it be turned on and off live?

    • @bobdrums
      @bobdrums  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Gabe, one way you could do that is to have a pad set to mute all sounds and hit that going into say a verse and then hit a pad to trigger sound on each time you go into a chorus. Bit of a workaround and you'd have to remember to hit the pad for each section of the song, but it would work!

      @@bobdrums but what can i do when i use backing tracks, and want trigger claps on the accustic snare?
      because when i hit the button "all sounds of", well i have no backing tracks?

      @@nscrider if youre still wondering, you can use a tuner pedal or something like that to mute/unmute the sounds with your foot!

    Hey I’m not getting a signal when I tell the SPD SX I have a RT-30k but when I go to other product names I get a red light signal. Any particular reason for this. I can’t seem to figure this one out. Should I reset the device? It won’t trigger anything as RT-30K when that’s the exact product I own. So idk……. Also I own a KT-9 but I didn’t see that product in my settings?

    Hi, I have a question; can I pair Roland triggers with for example Alesis sample pad? :D Or is it impossible to match different labels? Thank you anyone for answer))

    i used duel splitter cables and it seems to work for a bit but then it reads as the same trigger?? it’s so annoying, do you know any fixes about this?

    • @bobdrums

      I have just ordered splitter cables for my 3rd trigger! I will experiment once they arrive!

    • @Zesuri

      Im running into the same issue where when I use splitters both triggers are outputting the same sound instead of the different ones assigned. Is there a fix to this?

  • @joshykistan8756
    @joshykistan8756 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a question about balancing this within the mix. In a live setting how are you able to balance the live drum mics with the triggers? I know you can do like a 50/50 with triggers and live drums…. But would you just use the output from the spdsx and also your drum mic lines? Meaning you’d need two additional outputs on your soundboard for the spdsx on top of all your drums mics.

    • @bobdrums
      @bobdrums  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's exactly what's needed. All your mics and then the L & R out of the SPD-SX for the triggers!

    Is there a way to send the midi signals to my computer without the SPD-SX?

      Not that I'm aware of!

    • @seejayjames
      @seejayjames ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, the SPD-SX (or similar module) converts the analog pickup signal to MIDI. It's not MIDI until it goes through the module's brain :)
