Hi and thanks for your videos. 3 years later, can you tell if ForScore works flawlessly when paired with the Yamaha wireless MIDI adapter connected into the Spdsx?
I started using the Yamaha MD-BT01 with my SPD-SX. I use SetList maker on the iPad to send program change commands to the SPS to change patch for each song. This works perfectly however sending clock from the iPad to the SPD for click tracks is a little unreliable. The tempo shifts quite a bit and oddly tempos over 150 bpm are not 'recognised' by the SPD at all. Everything is a lot more stable clock-wise using the Roland USB MIDI interface 'hard wired' to the iPad.
Thanks for this video, I just bought the Yamaha BT-01 yesterday and am amazed how easy and inexpensive it was to get this kind of control. I do have the one issue someone else had here in comments, everyone I hit a pad on the SPD-SX, it triggers a sound in Forescore. Anyway to stop that from happening?
I use the Spdsx to turn forward and turn back pages and start the Metronome in forscore. I had the same issue like you and chose midinote 11, 12 & 13 on the Spdsx pads and there weren‘t any sounds anymore.
Hey Bob. Thanks for your great videos concerning Spdsx and forscore. Did you try using forscore to manage the Spdsx (changing sets by changing sheets etc) with the yamaha M BT01?
Did you see this video? m.th-cam.com/video/D1sWPR-k7oE/w-d-xo.html This guy uses the app "midi wrench" to connect the md-bt01 with the iPad. It seems that he has no problems with his nord changing sounds?!?
Hey Fabian, I actually did see the exact video and that inspired me to try it out! I have previously put a video together on controlling the SPD-SX from forScore which I will link below, hope that helps you out! th-cam.com/video/FFeaOH6A6r4/w-d-xo.html
@@bobdrums I already saw the video. I ordered a MD BT01 and will try it with forscore. I hope it'll work more reliable than you say in the video above. Would be silly, if it works with forscore and a Nord Stage Keyboard instead of the spdsx :-(
Oh sorry I misread that question! Yes I have tried but still it doesn’t work as smoothly as I would like. I’d be interested to hear how you get on with it, let me know!
Hi, thanks for watching! Yes the adapater will work with the octapad. So for the sounds, because it's over midi there is no sounds assigned to a pad, only midi values. In the video all the sounds I'm triggering are on the iPad and the midi note from the SPD correspond to the midi notes in garageband. Hope that helps!

The latest forScore update has apparently addressed this issue has anyone tested it out yet?
Uffff, gracias por el video. Increible. Saludos
Glad it helped, thanks for watching!

@@bobdrums yes, I will do so 😊🙏
Thank you for this video. Would you know if this would work with the octapad spd30 and how do you setup the sounds to each pad.

@@bobdrums sorry l meant midi values l guess you have change the cc values for each pad.
Is it possible to use boss wireless transmitters to replace cables for the various triggers (rt triggers/kt-9 etc) the Roland is compatible with?
I actually don't know about that, but that sounds really cool I'd be interested to hear if you get it working!
