If you are using your drone to make money, like showing it on you tube, you have to have a part 107 licence. When you get your 107 you will be a drone expert. And man is the FAA restrictive about what you can do with it. If your drone weighs more than .55 pounds, that's just over half a pound, you have to have the part 107 just to fly for fun. Did not know this when I bought my mavic air 2.

Maryville is really nice. Our family normally vacations in Townsend every year. One of my kids served as a camp counselor at a camp next to Walland.

@@awkwardashleigh that is awesome! I have Airmap on my phone but sadly have not used it. I live in Cheyenne, Wy which is class D airspace. However, the airport does not participate in Laanc. So Yea, have it. Never used it. I just have to go outside the city to fly.
OMG! I'm from Chattanooga (okay, really the hills about 20 miles north of Chattanooga) and I remember when the World's Fair was going on in Knoxville. I wanted to go SO BAD and I didn't get to. One of these days, if I ever make it back to TN (I'm in Austin, TX now) it will be my goal to go up in that thing.

Makes me miss home. I spent my 27 years growing up and living in North Knoxville. Homes on Central Ave and off North Broadway. I used to sit on the window ledge and watch fireworks over Neyland. Calhoun's, Herby's, and Nixon's Deli are the way. Boomsday is gone along with Sundown in the city.

While I love your movie reviews....I love your drone videos!!! You got the editing skills and the narrating skills. I know you'd have to get your Part 107 if you started putting drone videos on this channel but your other channel (if it's not monetized). You're missed on Ken's TNL.....by lots and lots of people. I attended the worlds fair back in ‘82. I was 16 and broke, so didn’t stay long. Also, boooorrrring. Had more fun at Grandaddy’s place off Cherokee Trail.

I'm thinking maybe Knoxvill needs to see a Dr. Shouldn't, in most cases. balls be closer together; and not THAT far apart? Just saying.
Hey Ashley! I didn’t know you lived in K-Ville. I’ve actually been to the 82’ Worlds Fair and attended UT. Btw, if you use Garmin GPS units, the Computer Science/Electrical Engineering building at UT is named after one of it’s co-founders, Dr. Min Kao.
Nice drone flight around the sphere. The reason you couldn't get LAANC approval for your second flight was that you were just barely in the red zone for the island home airport. I've wanted to get some shots around Fort Dickerson but have been stymied by that as well. One of these days I'll stop being lazy and fill out the paperwork to get permission sInce it's not auto approvable.

Nice job of flying.....they probably won't let peeps fly around the basketball out of fear of a drone hitting it and deflating it...and as we all know....a deflated ball is a terrible thing to have at game time...and remember....if a strange man approaches you in the park...always be sure to get the money up front....cash only...no checks....

Hi Ashleigh; what video editor do you use? Does it show your audio levels? Does it let you individually control each segment's audio? I did notice that your voiceovers were a lot hotter than your "on the street" shots. I had my volume cranked up to listen to your street shots, then, when you started talking on the voiceovers I almost got blown out of my chair! If the whole thing was as loud as the V/O's, it would have been fine. The music level is perfect. Just friendly advice, love all of your videos and look forward to the next one!!
I'm still working on figuring out what levels are best.. I didn't realize how hot they were until I watched it after upload, so that will be fixed next time! I hope to invest in some mics soon too so my street shots are louder and clearer! Thank you for your advice! ✨😊

I was a student at UTK during the World's Fair. The Sunsphere was cool but didn't look as impressive as the pre-construction illustrations. It was fun to be there in that energy during that time. I mostly remember the fireworks every night and the quest to find the best place on campus to watch them. It became an obsession, but I think I got my fill because I'm not that impressed by fireworks anymore. It was interesting to hear someone in my future Knoxville talk about it. Knoxville was an important part of my life for 8 years, but I haven't been back much, so my memory is from a past college town. Love your movie videos, especially Close Encounters and Princess Bride.

I'm originally from the Tri-Cities, about 90 miles NE of Knoxville. I remember going to the 1982 World's Fair and seeing the Sunsphere for the first time. I was a Freshman in highschool.

I've passed through Knoxville dozens of times (the Greyhound bus route from Atlanta to Lexington KY uses it as a layover stop), so I've seen Knoxville and the Sun Sphere more times than I can remember, but I've never actually been there as the primary destination.

I love Knoxville. I was at the '82 World's Fair...cool experience. Knoxville feels like a second home to me, and it's great that the Smokies are so close.
I'm from Knoxville and have been to Sun sphere many times. My dad always said it looks like a giant golf ball. But hey that's home! Love your videos! J
I remember eating in the restaurant inside the golden ball when I was a kid... It was the first time I had ever had prime rib... While it may have been managed by a fast food place, it was definitely NOT a fast food restaurant! I seem to remember that it very slowly rotated so you could see all around while you were eating, but I may be misremembering.

When I was 10, my parents took me, my 7yr old brother and my less than a year old sister to the World's Fair in Knoxville. I loved it. So....
