I absolutely LOVE your music choices! Agree one hundred percent that music allows us to express those feelings we find it difficult to relieve our souls of. You're amazing! Love your videos and look forward to them.
This was a particularly beautiful episode. Wishing you and yours comfort during this heartbreaking time. Knitting is a record of life and every stitch holds time, place, sorrow and joy. All my best.
Kaci I'm so sorry about your father in law. Mine passed very unexpectedly and I was surprised just how deeply I grieved that loss. I'm so glad you all have such wonderful memories of him❤ I also LOVE the way you described your love of sad music! I also enjoy sad songs at times and have never been able to really explain why. Sending you good vibes from a fellow sad song lover
God bless you and your family. Be strong before all life's turns. I remember you had different intro music. Energy, cheerful, bright. I loved it. But it is your channel, your choice and I appreciate it. Current music is good too, it's calm and beautiful
Hi Kaci, I'm so sorry to hear about your father in law. All the best to you and your family. I really enjoy the music on your channel. I especially love your 'themetune'!
My condolences to your family. I'm glad you got to experience the totality of the eclipse. I got to step outside of my workplace for a few minutes to see it. I found it phenomenal. Take good care of your hands.
loved this video! That handspun yarn is so wonderful! I just wanted to mention, about the reading thing, I see listening to a book as reading. Otherwise all the people with visual impairments, dyslexia, neurodivergence etc who consume audiobooks wouldn't be considered readers and they absolutely are! 📚
I absolutely love me a good sad song or classical piece. Something about sad and deeply emotional sounds brings me so much joy which might seem odd. I love being reflective and sad songs just make me think. Catharsis is a good description!
Oh Kaci, I’m so sorry to hear about your FIL. His memory will live on in your hearts. ❤. The sweaters are all beautiful and I look forward to each video. I too ama fan of your intro and music. You are unique and your into drew me in when I first found you. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
My heart goes out to you and yours - sending love!!! I've also been surrounded by music my whole life and started piano at a young age. Chopin is also my favorite - give me the all the feels. I think back to how music may have allowed me the space to express emotions in ways I couldn't have figured out the words to do so. Your handspun is absolutely gorgeous!!!! Take care~Stephanie
Very sorry for your loss. Hugs to you all. I too love sad songs. Validation of my feelings proves an elixir and balm. Soothing me and letting me know whatever is going on I’m not alone. Knitting definitely a sanity thing
Thank you for your lovely podcast. I agree with your comment about audio books. The narrator can make such a difference to the book. If the voice is annoying, it’s difficult to focus on the story. I listen to audio books on the radio which are often in 15 minute slots but prefer to read physical copies. Love the music and footage of the land around where you live. So beautiful. Your father-in-law would be proud of that field of flowers.
She contains multitudes, y'all! I totally hear you. Everyone often assumes that I'm infinitely happy because I'm kind to them. But we all are such complex creatures, of course, we do (and sometimes must) feel more than one thing. Studies have come out that say humans feel 3 emotions at one time most of the time. (Also! As I typed this comment to the music over your sewing, my 6 year old came in and said, "This is beautiful, Mom!")
Beautiful fields of clover, makes happy bees! I am a Chopin fan too, since childhood piano lessons. I pray the precious memories of your father in law will be a comfort to you all.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Your father-in-law sounds like a special person. I hope that your good memories of him will comfort you in the days and months to come. We also lost my father-in-law last week. These great men will be missed!
I’m so sorry for your loss Kacy. I lost my dad 14 years ago and my mom 2 years ago and most days it still feels like it was yesterday. You will feel time go by, but what really keeps them close is the memories you have with them. Sending you my love and my sympathy to your family. As always I love all of your projects. Take good care of yourself dear 🙏🏼🤍💙
My heartfelt condolences to you Kaci and the entire family on the going home of your father in law 🫂 … he sounds like the sweetest, salt of the earth kinda man, and I thought of him as you filmed the wildflowers and the bird overhead. Teared-up 😢 As always such beautiful makes, and that blood orange linen is sooooo soo good!!
I love your handspun it is beautiful and inspires me to try it but not yet. I’m so sorry for your families loss I lost my grandmother just before the pandemic and I’m still recovering. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I love your music. Good on you for showing you clover and the hawk. I think all that was a wonderful tribute to your father in law, a man of the land. Good wishes to you and your family.
So sorry about your father in law Kaci! Sounds like he was a great man...sympathy to you and your family. Don't change your music- it's perfect, and gives a thoughtful vibe. It's wonderful!
What a hard time for your family. Time with our loved ones is so precious and we just never know. I do hope that you feel the love and strength from the many people who care about you including us. May your making bring you peace and solace. Pour your grief into your stitches. ❤
So sorry for your loss. First of all I always love your music never find it sad. I watched camijo podcast today and she mentioned you and how much she loves your podcast and she showed her fiber called Kaci after you so pretty it captures you so well. Your sari Nordland sweater is so beautiful 😊thank you for sharing all your wips you are a busy lady. I have never read an audio book. I still enjoy flipping the pages but I am retired so I have the time. 😊 until next week.
Your videos are such a treat. Thank you for sharing your life and crafts with us. I'll pray for your family to have peace, comfort, and joy from the memories of your father in law.
I absolutely LOVE your music choices. Please don't change! I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your father-in-law. When someone has survived the traumatic event of a heart attack and then open heart surgery, it is such a mind numbing shock to have them suddenly "gone" all over again. I'm sure it's very sad for all of you, but I'm most sad for the grandkids having to grow up now without their grandfather. He sounds like such a wonderful person to be around.
So sorry for the loss you and your family have just experienced, you have my deepest sympathies. Music and knitting have gotten me through many things, glad you have that (and more) in your life.
So sorry to learn of the passing of your treasured father-in-law. Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share a little of his story and memories. 💜 Also, I thoroughly enjoyed the musical interlude.🎶
Kaci, I’m so very sorry to hear about your father-in-law passing away. That is so sweet he watched your videos. I will pray for you and your family. Lots of love and comfort to y’all ❤️
Oh, my goodness, Kaci, I am so, so sorry to hear of your father-in-law’s passing. Sending you my deepest condolences. I understand how devastating such a loss can be, especially after he seemingly came through his surgery so well. Something similar happened when my mother died - we were prepared to lose her during surgery (she wasn’t a very good candidate, but needed the surgery), and were thrilled when she came through with seemingly flying colors; then, were in shock and disbelief when we lost her just a couple of days later. Hoping you and your family are comforted by the many warm and happy experiences and memories you have, and keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers
I’m glad you mentioned your music. I played from a very young age too, and played a lot of classical music. Chopin and Beethoven are my favorites. So much emotion there. I’m very sorry for your family’s loss. Thank you for your wonderful podcasts.
Another wonderful episode. I agree with the others- don't change ur music. I "read" the Frozen river as well and absolutely loved it! So sorry for the loss of your father in law. I'm sure he would have loved the end of this video with your gorgeous fields. Thinking of you and your family. Kim
Hi Kaci. So sorry to hear about your lovely father in law. 🤗. For what it’s worth I love your music selections. I find they fit very well with your aesthetic and your opening vignettes. Your podcast should be a reflection of you. 😊
Kaci, so sorry to hear of your family's loss. May the memory of your father-in-law be a blessing. It's always so hard - for family - when someone dies quickly and unexpectedly, but consider how a speedy passing is easier for your loved one. My heart is with you all.
So sorry for your loss, my sincere condolences to all of you. He will clearly be ever present given all the wonderful things you shared about him here. ❤️. Kaci you made me giggle - “I know I said I was going to do less test knits this year BUT…..” my dear, it is all a good and you can do whatever you want!!❤️❤️. Take care, sending lots of LOVE. Roxanne
So sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a parent, and as a mum, to cope while helping your young children grieve what is likely one of their first big losses. I lost both my parents and my father-in-law within two years when I was in my thirties. Coping with my own grief while supporting my 5 kids with their grief, was overwhelming at times. Be kind to yourselves over this next year as the “first times” without your father-in-law roll by. It sounds like your FIL was a wonderful man, who will be missed a lot. 💜💙💜💙
Dearest Kaci! I am so very sorry about your family’s loss. Y’all are definitely in our thoughts and prayers. I love seeing your knits and sewing. And I just finished The Frozen River - amazing read!! And some cool history too. And I, too, am a cheerful person with a sunny disposition but I also like dark and moody books, movies and music, too. And that is just fine. Don’t let anyone tell you that is wrong! 😊 Take care of you and your dear family. ❤
your father in law sounds like he was such a sweet man, especially that he watched your podcast. i hope your fond memories of him can carry you through the difficult time you're going through right now.
Thank you for sharing.. your father in law sounds like he was a” gem”. Such a gift to your children. My condolences. I wanted to say that I too fell down the same”rabbit hole” lol. She has a way of captivating your attention! lol. Anyway I watched a few of thm as well. I’ll look in on her again. She is a great story teller. Also, you’re a very talented maker, and I so enjoy your podcast’s. Take care 🎈
Circle of life over there....I imagine the shocking loss was equalled by the joy of your the kids. I can only imagine how fun your eclipse day was. We soldier on....and cast on.
Sorry to hear about your loss, Kaci. Best wishes to you and your family. I hope you don’t only let your wrists rest and heal, but also your heart and your soul. On a side note: I also love your music choice and would love to even have a playlist of the songs you choose.
Loved seeing all your knitting updates. And that mockingbird shawl 😍 I’m so excited to start knitting it! I also really enjoyed hearing what you’re listening/reading/watching 😊
Thank-you for sharing your life and crafting with us. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. When we love we also will grieve. Keep your loved ones and your Knitting close. ❤Gwyn
Oh, Kaci, I love your music! I, too have a slight melancholy side and often search out your music selections to add to my “Contemplative” playlist. I really want to try sewing some linen pants. We recently moved to Lancaster County, PA from my hometown of Springdale, AR, and you are my virtual connection to Arkansas. It’s great to be so close to our son now, but I am a Southern girl through and through!
Kaci I'm so sorry to hear the news of your Father-in-Law. He sounds like an amazing man. Sending love your way. Loved seeing all your projects and your handspun is beautiful. I love the music and videos you play (I love sad moody music, hahaha) watching it makes me miss the Ozarks.
So sorry about the loss of your father-in-law Kaci. My heart goes out to you and your entire family - especially your husband ❤. And, for the record, I am in complete alignment with your musical tastes - for all the reasons you mention.
I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet father-in-law and my heart goes out to you and your family. It sounds like he was special and that you had a very close relationship with him. I hope that you are finding comfort through the people you love, your creating, and the beautiful music you enjoy. All of your projects right now are so gorgeous, and I want to comment that binding off ribbing in pattern looks really nice .I honestly don’t find Italian bind-off to be worth the time and effort around a large hem, especially when I have had the nightmarish experience of having to rip it back. Thank you the interesting book recommendations as well.
That red/orange is definitely YOUR color!! Your hands-on yarn is gorgeous! Looking forward to seeing that shawl made up. I understand about your hand issues with yarn types and needle sizes. Mine isn't so much with the yarn, but wow it takes me forever to make socks!! Those tiny needles! Have you had time to start your husband's sweater? That pattern looked so nice and in that dark blue should be stunning. Hope you have a good week Kaci❤❤❤
All my condolences for your loss. Keep up listning to the melancolic music. I do to. I listen to Leonard Cohen. He is a 'stabiliser' when I'm stressede, sad, thing go to quick and all other moods... Thanks for sharing with us a part of your life ❤
So, so sorry for your family’s terrible, shocking loss. Grateful for your sharing, of making and life. Your music and landscape pairing was just beautiful!
I’m so sorry for your loss of your father-in-law, he sounded like a lovely fellow. No need to change your music, your video production is great, as well as your knitting! Best wishes 🧶
Sorry to hear your loss Cassie( sorry if I misspelled your name) I love that kind of music haunting, deep.. you expressed what I go through washed but able to pick up..stay strong.
I am so sorry for your loss. A similar thing happened with my brother. He has the surgery came home went about his day. When he laid down to sleep he died. Turns out he had blood clots. Loved seeing all your projects.
Thank you for sharing your making journey, and I hope you are finding solace in your cozy makes. I'm feeling a lot of simpatico with you this week. I also turn to knitting, and listening to sad songs when the world is too much. Early Bonnie Raitt really hits the spot for me.
My condolences to you and to your extended family. I pray that God will comfort you all in this time of sorrow. I also like your song choices. Moody is not bad! I love that music can reflect so much of how we feel or what we are thinking at the time, regardless if there are words attached. I'm also a classically trained pianist and love Bach because of his structure. Thank you for expanding my listening choices :)
Warmest condolenses for your loss❤ We lost my kids granfather on their dads side a year ago. His heart just stopped. So sad. And thank you for sharing this, thank you for a lovely episode. And i love your choise of music. I so relate to your thoughts about it. Take care!❤
Please never change your music! It’s what caught my attention when I happened to watch your podcast. I especially love the classical and jazz
Thank you 😊
My sympathies to you and your family. It is so hard to lose someone that has impacted your lives in such a positive way. Blessings to you all. 😔❤️🙏🏼

I remember you had different intro music. Energy, cheerful, bright. I loved it. But it is your channel, your choice and I appreciate it. Current music is good too, it's calm and beautiful
Yes! Thank you! I liked my old intro as well but they no longer had it available for royalty free music

He would have loved seeing the clover in full bloom!
Awww thanks!
Beautiful fields of clover, makes happy bees! I am a Chopin fan too, since childhood piano lessons.

Yes the bees are so very happy right now! 🐝

Thank you 😊
I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet father-in-law and my heart goes out to you and your family.
Yes! I am all about a bind off in pattern haha!
I have started it! I just haven’t made a ton of progress haha
All my condolences for your loss.
Keep up listning to the melancolic music. I do to. I listen to Leonard Cohen. He is a 'stabiliser' when I'm stressede, sad, thing go to quick and all other moods...

Thank you for sharing your making journey, and I hope you are finding solace in your cozy makes. I'm feeling a lot of simpatico with you this week. I also turn to knitting, and listening to sad songs when the world is too much. Early Bonnie Raitt really hits the spot for me.
Thank you so much!

I'm so sorry for your loss. He sounds like a wonderful man
He sure was! ❤
I love some good moody music!
So sorry for your loss!
Thank you ❤
