Amy, this morning in my quiet time, I read in the Gospel of John about Jesus talking to the Samaritan woman. I marveled at the twists and turns of that conversation. God bless you!
Last time I heard about those two stories in the bible was when I went to Sunday school I must have been around 12-13 yrs old at the time. I’m now 53yrs old and thanks for sharing it with us, brings back a flood of memories. God Bless you and your family.
Those stories become more alive the mor I learn and the older I get. Plus, the church I was raise in didn’t give us the background in cultures and the depth of the “religious” burdens. I love learning.
I am thankful for your videos, insights, and reflections. As a child, religion was a huge part of my upbringing. As I went through my early adulthood, I didn’t lose my faith or beliefs, but I drifted away from the church. Now that I am in my 50’s, I feel drawn back to the church and my religion. Your videos are a great inspiration to me! Thank you!

The more I watch your videos I can see more of a resemblance that Chet has to you then Doug in appearance but he so has both of y’all’s personality. Very humble and intelligent. Love the videos you put out as well as Chet for Larson Farms.
I wanted to share my salvation testimony since it is somewhat connected to the woman at the well in the Bible. After hearing a flannel graph story at VBS at the age of 8 I realized I was a sinner and needed a Savior. Our Pastor's wife showed me how to accept God as my Lord and Savior. The very next Bible story that morning was the woman at the well. When I heard the first part of John 4:14 my ears perked up. My job along with my younger brother during the summer after breakfast was to walk the cows down the road to a pasture that was not fenced in. We had to make sure they didn't get into the neighboring crops. We did this until noon and sometimes we got really thirsty so one of us had to walk back home to fill a 1 gallon glass jug with water and carry it back. ( no water bottles in those days!) When I heard there was water so you would never thirst again I was interested! Then I realized I now had that. I have a vivid memory getting off the church bus that afternoon and running into the house and telling my mom the good news and then running out to where my oldest brother was pouring whey from a milk can into a pail to feed the pigs to let him know.

Thank you for sharing "amazing grace". No wonder that the hymn has such meaning. John Newton knew exactly what a wretch he was, and yet Amazing Grace saved him. He could not forget how the saving grace of Jesus saved him so he can spend eternity with Him in Heaven.

Amy, I was pleasantly surprised to hear you mention reading and meditating on the book The Gospel According To Jesus. As I listened (and my wife too) I was pleased to hear you expound the message of the book the WATERING-DOWN the message of the Gospel. THANKS for reading and sharing.
Just a footnote, when this book was published in 1988, it generated quite a bit of controversy. I asked a respected older Pastor friend what he thought of the book. He responded: “I’m glad someone famous if finally saying what I’ve been saying for years.” I bought and read the book - finding that I too agreed with nearly everything.
But as much as the book was pertinent in 1988, it is EVEN MORE SO in 2023.
It is shocking that so many churches have “caved” to the culture and now adopts sin as normal! We MUST get back to the GOSPEL as presented in the Word of God - and quit watering-down God’s Word - our Guide for Living.

Lean not to our own understanding…..It should always be God Laws and not man’s laws!!
Man water’s down the law and changes the law to suit their circumstances.(this is in not Gods way)
If we have questions and want to grow in a deeper spiritual walk with our Heavenly Father we should study the Bible, pray, meditate, pray how we can serve The Lord not what can The Lord do me for me 1-2-3-4-5….etc

I wish I could have taken over for my grandparents milk farm in WI that I grew up on. It was fun, and learning about the processes was cool. You, and family are awesome! I been following you guys for years now including the Welkers plus Millennial farmer... I guess because being raised around tractors, and farming that I just find it so amusing. Amy, we all forget that we sin every day over and over and sometimes it is the same sin and we want to make a deal with the Father about our sin at some point though we get it and one sin at a time we stop then we say again thank you, Lord God bless

Really good video Amy, your a natural. All you need is more experience, with each video they become more natural and professional. You can now see your talent show. No doubt you will be ahead of Chet. I had a experience with Dust recently that I can only call Doug’s worst nightmare. It involved 3 things, a clean shop, a large tractor inner tube being inflated and a large dust bag out of a large shop vac suiting near the inner tube. I’m certain Doug & everyone can imagine the rest. Never leads a tire inflating & walk away. 😂

I love the Sunday p.m. visits! In SE MN today we had about 100 drops of rain coming out of church at 11:30 and then about 15 minutes of drizzle mid-afternoon. Friday p.m. they had 3 inches just 15 miles from here - we got thunder! Our forecast for today was a possible up to 2" - and drizzle so far! Can't wait to see any videos from Farm Fest.
We had 1 drop. Maybe. Fake news has now invaded the forecast.

I like Mathew 13:4 sowing seed some fell on the path and the birds came and devoured it, some fell on the rocky ground and it didn't have much soil but the seed who fall in the good ground prosper . We just need to fall in the good ground that the goal.
I remind myself that Jesus dusted his sandals off when he walked out of his hometown. It helps me push forward.
Im sure there are so many good lessons to be learned from the bible. Sadly extremists and politicians use judgement on others in an ongoing cycle of raising hate.
I have shut it all out. I see bits and pieces on my feed of the “news”. Instead, we must focus on the Good News.

As beautiful as you can make it remember the older you get, we are the same age, the harder it gets to take care of unless you can afford to pay someone in the far future dont do anymore you can handle now minus a few years because if you think your children or grandchildren will take care of it like you do ha ha!!!

I have a question. Jesus said sin no more. Does he expect us to never sin once we accept Christ as our Savior or is it that he will forgive our sins as we try to live a sin free life after accepting?. BTW My boss is a Jewish carpenter.

The hardest thing i ever did, was admit all my sins to the Lord, and then i was able to think, and follow the Word with on mind. Yes we will still sin, but to walk with one mind is what snares people. We can't say that some parts of the Word we will follow, but other's we won't. A another great story about a woman of faith was when mary was putting ointment on Christ's, and washing his feet with the tears running down onto her hair. Christ knew the thoughts of a man thinking if you knew what manner of woman this was you wouldn't want her touching you. Christ tells the man that he came in, and he offered him no water to wash his feet, and didn't do a couple other thing's, but that this woman had. been washing his feet with her tears and hair, anointed his head with costly ointment, and that her sins were forgiven, and that she would be named in words written about Him. The other thing i love, is that mary magdalene was the first person to see and talk to Christ after he had risen in the sepulchre. In heaven there will neither be jew nor gentile, nor man or woman, but we will all be the same if found worthy to enter the Kingdom.
It’s hard to describe humility and angst over sin but this story greatly describes it.
I agree, and i know that our Creator is long suffering, merciful and compassionate, righteous in judgement, and forgives much. I have had to end friendships with family and friend's because they were not following the Word, and i tried to talk to them, but they just could not grasp it. We are here to follow in the footsteps of Christ, and the Word plainly state's many time's that only a remnant will be found worthy. My heart mourns for those who choose the wide path, but we all have free will. I changed my whole life several year's ago, and the more i read the Word, the more i see. Many people can't understand what they read, because they aren't living the way they should be. Being of one mind isn't always easy, loving those around me isn't always easy either, but i do the best i can to not spot my garment. Being humble can be a challenge, people are different than they were even ten year's ago. To save one soul can cover a multitude of sins. I have felt the fear of the Lord, and had a dream that woke me up, and urged me to wake other's. Using our own sin to witness to other's has drawn more people to the Lord than just trying to talk to them about the Lord. I don't judge anyone, but i try to be a good example of where i was, and where i am now. There is much to learn, and we have to help one another. G-d bless sister.

In Matthew 10, the first four verses, Jesus named the twelve!
Verse 5. These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded(not suggested) them saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7: And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Very clear Jew only!
Notice in those first four verses, no Paul!
Paul was first mentioned in Acts 7 at the stoning of Steven!
His name was Saul then, and boy he hated any one who followed that false preacher/teacher Jesus! Killing and imprisoned those Christians!
Acts 9, is the Damascus road experience, and Jesus made him the only apostle to the Gentiles!
Making him the 13th, apostle, who wrote 13 books of the New Testament, Romans-Philemon!
2nd Timothy 2:15 he wrote to Timothy, and said this!
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Acts 9, is the fork in the road, and all Paul knew was the cross!
1st Corinthians 15:1-4
Is Pauls gospel of Christ!
He’s writing to those heathen dog Gentiles the Jews hated, the ones who had heard about Christs blood was the only way, to salvation!
Ephesians 2:8&9
For by Grace are ye saved through faith, and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
My you tube history is full of John MacArthur, Alister Begg, over in Ohio, J. Vernon McGee, and a few others, but by far I love to study!

When I was a farmer, my calling, I had no time for the Lord!
Best we could do after setting irrigation water on Sunday morning was to look west to the Colorado Rockies, and say, Lord you did a wonderful work!
He gave, he took away!
Hail, corn put in the bin just over 15%, genetics’ in the hog heard went south! He got my attention!
Now I put all my faith plus nothing, in his blood, and the finished work of the cross!
Jesus said the truth will set you free, and free I am!
I’m not ashamed to talk all day about our creater!
I could say much more, best not!
I’m praying for rain, for all, that are so dry, and
when I say I’m praying, I’m on my knees for sure!
