  • This week we are going Plus Ultra! You might not know this I am a big fan of the series My Hero Academia! So not only are we going to restore my 1945 Diamond Calk entrenching tool We are also going to build a mode kit of Deku one of my favorite MHA characters. I hope you enjoy the video and as always thank you for watching.
If you are interested in the bits I used you can find them at Kodiak Cutting Tools. I'm not sponsored by them. I just want to share a quality Made in the USA tool company.Check out their website. They have a few ways to help you save on your orders and some Deals on Ebay too.

    Turned out great, George

Very nice! If you're wondering it is a M-1910 pick mattock. Most troops were issued the regular E-tool but at least one in eact platoon was suppost to have the pick mattock and another the m-1910 hand axe. The pick mattock was broken down for carry and carried in the 1917 carrier. They make repros of the carrier, but several originals are around for pretty cheap if you want one. The pick-mattock served along side the M-1910, M-1943, and M-1956 Etools untill finally replaced by the M-1967 trifold E-tool. Great job!

  • @retrogameattic

Awesome job with both! That Deku model was more complicated than I thought it would be but it came out great! I haven’t seen MHA but only heard good things, I may add it to my watchlist.

The entrenching tool looks good Super George! Decko was a cool twist. I haven't put a model together since I was a kid and as a kid and i wouldn't have been able to put that one together 😂

I would eat my own cooking to own that tool. Great video. Thank you.

  • @johnr1878

George awesome job, thanks for that tip on the Kodiak burs. You have way more patients than I have for models like that, I would have lost it.

  • @westhighlandsshop

Damn! Now I have to go back and take all the screws out of my entrenching tools! Who knew 🤣🤣🤣. Cool video brother, never heard of that show before. Really enjoyed this one, fun watching you model building. That entrenching tool came out great, perfect restoration for a historical tool.

Hey !George très belle restauration de cette pioche militaire. Ton t-shirt est vraiment superbe. Bonne journée mon ami. ❤

  • @patrickmeyer1967

I havent touched a model in like 45 years. I had to ask my daughter about the anime. LOL I think every shop needs a mascot/companion , and yours could probably us an A/C. I enjoyed listening to your minor rant about ages 6 and up !! LOL Stay cool

  • @danohstoolbox

    good morning George

  • @johnfix1

Deku. I have no clue who that is. I'm too old. I had no TV or electricity in my cave growing up. The DIamond entrenching tool is awesome. Jim from UK sent me one I restored I In army green but I think your natural color looks great.

  • @bigvicsworkshop

Very nice! I went to Huntsville Con this past sunday... you would had loved it. It was 95% anime, never seen so many folks dressed up.. have a safe 4th!

  • @Dalesworkshop

That is a great intrenching tool and it looks awesome. Deku can protect your shop now. I have a couple super heroes protecting mine. I also have a river boat model I have been saving for a rainy day. I think it may be time I got it out and put together. Great video George. Stay kool.

  • @patjohnson3100

Nice job restoring the the pick axe. It would be tempting to toss the original handle and get a new one from the hardware store. Glad you brought back the original. Model building is fun at any age. Keep having fun, and happy 4th of July.

  • @shedmanx3640

Hi George. Great video. There’s some nice history with that mattock, as we call them in Australia.
