- This has to be one of the coolest dash cams I have ever seen. Not only does it have front and rear camera's but it has a full 10 inch display for viewing live streams and reviewing recorded footage. It also records in 2k so it gives you nice clean video while your driving. Check out my video for more details and my review.

Nice video. Couple of questions - at around 16:45 you reference the streaming rear camera vs using the rear mirror. If all the cameras are turned off, can the display be used as a regular rear mirror? Also can you change which camera is displayed on the right vs left if both are displaying? I’d want the rear on the left, front on the right. Thanks!

Thank you for your informative video. It was helpful to me. I recommend adding the comment about the advantage of this style of dashcam over the self-adhesive and suction cup options. I have been looking for someone to confirm this is a better option than sticking it on my window only to have it fall off after 3 months in the sun. I had to use a rice filled sock on my last dashcam and it was annoying.
My camera is similar to this one it's a Wankai black I had it hard wired I wonder whether it would affect the performance or the camera itself I normally see what looks like a battery charging when the car ignition is on. I would appreciate your advice. Thanks

can this be used as a rear view mirror for a caravan. I currently have a reversing camera wired to a 12 volt socket for power and wifi fed to unit in car
so its always on , which is ok but the display is so wide anything more than 10 feet behind is a dot in the distance
Can't get the volume to come through. Volume been set at full volume. But nothing coming through. Any advice please would be appreciated. . Thank you

Yes, you don’t have to use the rear camera.
How about a friend, if I connect the red cable from the rear camera to the brake light and if I leave the camera connected to the 12v socket all the time, can the car battery discharge?
If your socket supplies 12 v even when the car is off and you have the camera set to record the whole time yes I can discharge because it’s using power.

A decent camera. Parking mode is the best option. But the built in battery only works for 10 minutes i guess.
it's kind of funny that you're in colorado.. never needed one in washington, indiana, alska, or anywhere else i've been but after beeing here for 4 years now i don't trust any colorado drivers from what i've seen lol. thank you for the video.
I just had my camera installed yesterday by a professional. I didn't realize that you needed to insert the SD Card b4 the install. Is this why the camera is not switching from front to back mode when I put car in reverse?
Ron Anderson no. What ever professional installed the camera did not put the reverse 12v power wire to any reverse power source like reverse lights. It’s supposed to go to the + cable

M8 good review but all the mirror dashcam are no good for the UK because the camera is on the left side, I've got 1 and when I adjust my mirror I cannot see through to the back
can you adjust your mirror first than hop into the passenger side adjust the camera than try not to move it.
What do you do if the mirror camera has too much glare and can't see the road but inside the car?
Exposure doesn't fix the problem.

What if any is the drain on your battery over night?
If you have a consistent power source from your car , it will drain some of the battery but if it doesn’t get triggered often then the drain will be minimal.

Why was the the pic upside sown when ya were parked if you put it in reverse it goes out to be right put it back in the park and split first picture is upside down why was that?

Does the camera still record in sleep mode?
No, something would have to wake it up , like someone hitting your car.
Mine seems to go from red for record to yellow bar on the bottom excessively,. Is this normal?
You may have your g shock sensitivity up to high, try a lower setting and see if that helps. Mine will usually go off if I hit a bump or pothole in the road.

I don't have a cigarette lighter in my car. Can I charge the battery in my house first and then use it in my car for a period of time?
The battery isn't meant to be used as a mobile device, you wouldn't want to keep charging this for every time you drive anyway. I would either get it hard-lined to your battery or buy a battery power bank that you can keep connected to it and that should last you quite a while before you need to charge it again.

It has a small battery but it’s only for a backup if the camera suddenly looses power. You will need to hardwire it in your car if you want it to record when the car is off.

You just need to plug it into the cigarette lighter adapter for power.
Great review. I have this too (but a 12 inch mirror) and it's the best car accessory I have installed. Although the rear view mirror dashcam can help with blindspots please be aware that in some situations (usually due to insensitive and aggressive drivers), it cannot help.

If it straps/piggybacks to your old rearview mirror then it's no good. That's so 2008. 2020 is it replaces your rearview mirror for that clean look not that bulky bulgy setup😚

These rear view dash cams are stupid. to see the license plate, you have to invert the image, but then the orientation is flipped and the curb and cars are inverted in position.
Is there a rear view dahs cam that shows the license plate in the right orientation while recording and shows how a normal rear view mirror would show with the license plate inverted. I'm amazed these stupid companies haven't figured that one out yet.
