  • Thrustmaster Sent me Free Sim Racing Equipment for GT7 and I Can't Wait to Try this New Wheel! Thrusmaster had reached out to me wanting to send me some sim racing equipment to use for GT7 and other sim racing games that I play. I have been using Thrustmaster products since I started sim racing so I was excited. They sent me a T-GT II full package with the GT7 wheel and three pedal set. While I do currently use a T-GT II and love it, I did not have the GT wheel that comes when you buy the full set. They also sent me a TH8A Shifter along with a EVO Racing 32R Leather steering wheel. The wheel offers a module design that will allow the frame to be changed in the future with other frames. The wheel also includes magnet paddle shifters! Let me know in the comments what you think of items I received and if you own have or tried any of them.

    T-GT II user here ☝️ one of the most underrated wheel base in the market 😓 but it’s really good compared to a T300 or G29. I paired with the Ferrari 488 new GT3 wheel and it’s incredible!
    Can’t wait for Thrustmaster DD base for console it will be a game changer, especially for their loyal users.
    Good video man enjoy!

      I moved away from TM because they're too slow to launch new gear. Their progression to a DD also took way too long. And they've always been a bit too expensive compared to the quality
      I'm at simagic now and have 0 regrets about moving. TM was very good, but others have surpassed them way too fast and easy

    Nice one Cas 👍 really happy you have been noticed by thrustmaster.. it could be a good time for them for them coming up with uncertainty with fanatec.. bit embarrassing for gt7 as they moved over and now they are in money trouble..so you now have the evo wheel ready for the new direct drive arriving soon.. i did pick that wheel up too, lovely for rally etc but i keep dropping back to the f1000 as the shifters are still a little bit sharper. Really comfortable rim though 👍. the standard TGT ii rim gave me saw thumbs all the time it was the stitching on the inside.. enjoy the shifter, there is a couple of mods available to stiffen that up.. hopefully they send you the sparco shifter/handbrake.. i have 2 for rally 1 for each and they are great.. the direct drive initial review looks really promising. Enjoy buddy 👌

    The TH8A is a great shifter for the cost. I've modified both of mine a lot. I have one for H Pattern and one for Sequential so I don't have to change plates constantly. Anyhow, it's a good shifter, but driving H Pattern in game and in real life aren't really the same. Sure some of the things transfer, but the first thing you should learn IRL is how to take off from a dead stop without dumping the clutch. In game dumping the clutch to take off is fine. IRL though, it'll get you a lot of tickets and you'll be replacing clutches constantly and you'll be changing transmissions often as well. Lol. TL;DR, learn manual IRL if you wanna learn manual IRL. Don't depend on what you learn in the sim in that department.

    • @thecasualracinggamer

      I actually just put the sequential plate on it tonight so I could play around with it. Funny thing is when I first opened it I didn't even know you could do that!

    Nice bro. I love the tgt2. Been wanting to try that evo rim but I definitely recommend u trying that gt7 wheel on gt7 its smaller but idk I have a ton of rims and always go back to the gt7 rim buttons and nobs are perfect for gt7 and it just goes with the tgt2 seamlessly. I wouldn't blame yah for making the evo your main but don't sleep on the gt7 rim.

      @thecasualracinggamer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. The mics are a wireless lavier from Saramonic. I bought them from Amazon probably 5 years ago. I think the little tweaking I do in Premier Pro makes them sound a little better. The camera is a Sony A7IV. I used the kit lense in this video because it offers better stabilization than my better lens I have. I had my son holding the camera, and he can't hold a camera still for nothing, so I needed all the stabilization I could get. 😁

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      First, if I reached out, I would have just said that. There is no shame in creators reaching out to sponsors. They do it all the time, but I'm not going to lie about it, so please don't make statements that you know nothing about.
      Second, a while ago, I reached out to a company through a form of theirs and didn't throw a fit but thought it was funny in their response that they didn't just say I didn't have enough subscribers for them.
      So, I'm not sure what your intentions were with this post. If it was to bring me down, you failed.

      That depends on the car. A lot of road cars in gt7 are already equipped with a traditional manual. And it doesn't make much sense to put trad manual in a car that was never designed for it, you're just making it slower 🤷

    Not a fan of the GT7 wheel at all, too much plastic and the huge logo seems excessive.
    The other wheel however looks really great. I especially like the swappable wheel rim; assuming it's a standard bolt pattern you could fit lots of real car wheels onto that.

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure about the bolt patterns, but it's I nice-looking wheel! I'll be curious to see what the swappable pieces cost when they release.

      @@thecasualracinggamer it looks like the Momo bolt pattern (70mm diameter), most Vertex also use 70mm, though the Vertex that I have uses Nardi 74mm. It would be a real shame and a missed opportunity (and greedy) if they used their own bolt pattern.

    So, this video isn't sponsored, but will you send those back? 😂

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I said I was not paid to do the video but did receive the products from them. I was not even required to do an unboxing video. That was my choice. Also, if you know my channel, I have been using Thrustmaster products exclusively and have shared my thoughts on their equipment plenty of times. So, I'm not sure what your point is?

    • @andryush91
      @andryush91 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thecasualracinggamer the point is that since you get devices to keep, it's not like it's not sponsored in ANY way. It is beneficial to both the company and for you. They get positive feedback, you get new devices you will keep or sell. But don't mind me, I'm just beeing fussy. In you future videos I think you shouldn't explain yourself by saying it's not sponsored or you wasn't paid. You were paid with new devices instead of USD, it's plain and simple.

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I respect your opinion, but it's important to understand the difference between a paid (USD $) sponsored video and one where just products are received. It's also IMPORTANT for the creator to let their audience know which one it is. I think i was pretty CLEAR in my video which it was.
      For a paid sponsored video, the sponsor will have final say in your content. Most likely, your contract will have in it that the sponsor will need to review and approve your video before you are allowed to release it. They can tell you change things if they don't like it.
      For a video where just a product is received without any form of money, creators are free to say or do what they please. The company doesn't review your video before it's released, and there is no contract binding you to anything.
      I'm also a viewer on TH-cam and there are creators on here that I trust their opinions of, but I want them to be clear if they were paid or not, as it will put them under different requirements from the company. In the end, it's your responsibility to do your own due diligence on the product and not just trust one creator. We are sharing our opinion, and everyone will have different opinions anyway on what they like and don't like.
