I'm using an old G29. When playing offline, it is weak and boring. I was just able to play online, and the wheel felt stronger, and more input (like I'd have from other games).

Agree with this 100%, Quest 3 blows away the Quest 2 in every respect. It does discharge wen using the link cable, but REALLY slowly. Like you might lose 3% in 1.5 hours. If it's fully charged when you start, I don't see any way you'd drain it dry. Also, be careful, this does NOT apply to the Quest 3S (I know this was made before the 3S came out, so just thought I'd mention it so nobody makes a mistake). The Quest 3S uses the same optics as the Quest 2, so while you might get a little improvement due to the faster processor allowing for higher bandwidth, it wouldn't be worth upgrading just for that. The Quest 3 is definitely worth the upgrade though.

Since the update a month or so ago my TGT2 feels a lot different in the feedback, I used to really feel the gear changes on the base as well as the engine revs but now I barely feel it, to the point I’m thinking is my transducer faulty or did the update really weaken everything?

Good day to you. If you reached max steering angle of a car in gt7 will the wheel stop you or is it just like t300 "you can turn to 1080 even the the car has onli 270" please answer i dont want to buy this wheel if it has that flaw.

I have quest3 and when I tried this my headset went crazy. Black and white streaks everywhere and unusable. 4080 super ryzen 9 and high end other components. When I switch your settings back it works but looks the same lame quality as usual. Any suggestions? Thanks justin

I had the T818 it was too much. Made for pros not casual gamers. Switched down to TM TS-PC.

thx for the review. I got LCM with t300rs and custom Rim so always playing with all windows open :D. Depending on the price of the new base might get used TGT2 or whatever they're releasing. I race in VR too so thought the new rims sound good too me.

Love a shifter, heal and toe, rowing through the gears using left and right foot braking is so much fun.

I was torn between the two and ended up buying the quest 3. It was terrible and then broke. Returning it and trying the psvr2

I have a logitech h shifter with my logitech gpro and the th h pattern shifter with my t300rs. So from day one i set a rule for myself. If the car uses manual h shifting then i have to drive with the gear stick. When gt7 hit with psvr2 it totally helps me be fully immersed using the h shifter. And for rallying its a blast. Absolutely love using both types of shifting gears. Glad you've transitioned to the dark side😊

I use it myself and absolutely love it. I love using the H-Pattern & Clutch if it matches the car

I recommend the ricmotech sequential mod and custom sim shop h pattern mod I have 2 shifters set up with each mod 👍

I LOVE using my TH8A! My first car was standard, so I've always know how to drive stick. The immerson for me gets broken if I'm using paddles on a car with a stick or vice versa. Somehow banging out gears on a H pattern is just so much more satisfying.

I Got one when i got my load cell pedals. The build quality is exellent. I racein GT7 and iRacing. For immesion its great, but for ranked racing i think paddles are faster. But for rally its a must. Also for casual playing it is great. Very good quality bit of kit

I try to avoid cars without paddle shifters since it also breaks the immersion for me. Driving manual is fun irl but hate it in sims due to the lack of haptic feedback in the clutch pedal. Without proper feel and software support for things like bite point or stalling it just doesn’t feel right. Hopefully things like haptic pedals like the one moza announced can improve things in the future.

I have this shifter as well, I like it. I hardly ever use it though.. I mostly race GT4 and sometimes GT3, so it doesn't make much sense. If the drifting in GT7 was way better I would be using it all the time, because shifting with paddles while drifting with a headset on is A NIGHTMARE. I have no idea where the paddles are and it's just pure chaos. I think I'm going to use this way more when Flatout VR comes out. Those old crappy cars would be really cool with an H pattern. Really hope the game supports it. The E-Brake on the other hand, m-m-mmm. That thing is glorious. Waaaay too expensive, but man, it is a fantastic piece of hardware. It can be converted to a sequential shifter as well, and it feels like it was made for the hulk. You have to pull on that thing so hard compared to any other type of handbrake you can buy for normal money. Sad part about the thrustmaster hardware in GT7.. If you don't have a hub, you can't connect both a shifter and a handbrake at the same time.. You have to pick one. I've been putting off buying one of those sim hubs forever, but I'm getting one once the DD wheel base comes out, unless that wheelbase already has the capability of doing shifter and e brake at the same time.

Though it would necessitate Logitech sending you a unit, I'd be interested in what your thoughts on their just-released sequential shifter (which can also be used as a handbrake). Boosted media has done a review, and talked favourably about it. I think it may be cheaper than the Thrustmaster. Regarding this unit, though, its definitely a worthy alternative to Fanatec's offering. I quite like Thrustmaster. Looks the goods, too.

Hey Cas how you keeping? I have one set up as H pattern but rarely use it tbh. Maybe if i just jump in an old classic, to add some immersion.. sierra cosworth as that obviously brings back memories 😭. I have 2 TSS which are better for sequential, other as handbrake. Where you will mostly use them is Rally and it will make you quicker there. It allows you to let the wheel slip to catch the lock, if you do that with paddles (attached to the wheel) you loose where they are, i have caught a lock and felt the paddle with wheel 180deg out and shifted wrong direction many times. So if you Rally with sim paddles you actually subconsciously restrict wheel movement to keep the location of the paddles registered in your mind. Rally cars with paddle shifters should be mounted off wheel but in my opinion sequential is still quicker in Rally as your hand is immediately next to the handbrake, on a hairpin in 4x4 rally you would flick handbrake to move back then force a down shift to engine lock all 4 wheels to finish rotation. I haven't had time to master drifting in GT7 but again same as above it will allow you freedom to loose position of the paddles.

Good review, For my G923 I also attached Logitechs H pattern $60 shifter, and knowing how to actually drive with clutch shifting in my cars this was CRAP. Waste of money. So only paddle shift for me.. Since up grading to the Logitech pro wheels and pedals I am fully immersed in the racing aspect. And no need to take my hands off the wheel even with/for a $200 shifter. Un less they have clutch racing, which I removed mine from my set up which allows more space for gas and brake😊 I’ll stick with what I have. Also does this thrust master work on Fanatec or other set ups?

What's your opinion on how gt7 looks during sunny days? I believe it looks great during other times of day but it looks cartoony somehow with sun shining. the colours seem over saturated plus the way the sun reflects off cars is like in cartoons where guy smiles and there teeth twinkled.

Since I play decent amount of single player. I always try to use a combination of the current car. Sequential or pafdle shifters are considerably easier than H-Pattern+clutch. Using H-Pattern+clutch is a skill on its own, and I find it incredibly fun. If I had to choose, between better wheel and no H-Pattern or worse wheel and H-Pattern I would always go for option with shifter. Can't even imagine driving Shelby Cobra with paddle shifters. It's also worth to mention, that in online time trials and mutliplayer in GT7, clutch, h-pattern and handbrakes are not allowed.
