nah the old one was 6 minutes of racing followed by 23 minutes of driving alone and the race ending with 7 cars. now it's the same but 45 minutes of driving alone and with MAYBE 7 cars finishing the race.
Before I begin, I finally got myself a PS5 with GT7 not even a week ago, so my skill level is around an amateur to rookie. I have some experience with racing games but GT7 is different. When I first saw this race, I was excited to race in it. That's when reality kicked in and I realized this was gonna be hell. I was right. One lap everything was dry and driving normally. Next three laps the track was covered in rain. Everybody sliding around, including me, and it was basically driving a blue whale in a bubble bath is one way to describe it. Also, I was driving the Audi R8 LMS Evo since that's all I had for Gr.3. Anyways did I have fun? Yes? Did I survive? Yes? Would I race again? Definitely.
Man GT7 honestly looks incredible. At some points, if you were to hide the HUD it just looks real. The pit scenes are especially good (although the low FPS hurts it a bit)
I won this race by 0.09 seconds last night, after being 4th on the main straight just seconds before. It's mental how after 50 minutes of racing, things can be so close at the top.
You know what would boost these daily races? INCREASING THE PRIZE POOL. 1 hr race and the winner gets what? 200k or less? For 1 hr, last place better get 1.5 million for sticking around, and the winner should get 10 million or something. Winning a nearly 1hr race online in wet conditions on the toughest track in the game? 3rd place got 88k??!! Insane
@@MrAshar101 I know what THEY want. I don't care what they want. What we want as players and fans of this game is more in-game credits. Plus, how is a 30 minute race against AI worth more than a 1hr race vs real players? Should be double the credits per hr or equal at the very least.

I gotta say thank you for your comment about traction control and how there has never been shame in using it. I used to use full traction control for ages, but in the last year or so dialled it back to level 2. I feel comfortable with that and now get quicker lap times as getting out of corners is so much faster, but not everyone is comfortable with using lower or no TC (or turning off any driver aids in fact). These options are there to make the game accessible to everyone. I hate the gate keeping bullshit of people looking down on anyone using driver aids. Let them use what they want. If you alienate the less confident people from racing, you will end up with a much smaller player base. Same with the steering wheel master race who feel it's their god given right to mock controller players. Hate to tell people this, but more people play with controllers than steering wheels.

10:02 The problem here is you're on inters. Once the track wetness gauge just barely tops the second third (starts entering dark blue) you need wet tires.
wet tires would be stronger, sure, but that would mean either staying on slicks until that point (which is slow and risky af) then pitting for wets. or pitting for inters then again for wets. problem with either of those statergies is that theyre just slow. may as well pit for inters then drive carefully in the heavy rain as it only lasts a short while
The thing about this race is with such a long lap if you don't change tried before the weather comes you are stuck on what will be a 10 minute plus lap struggling on the wrong tyres
This race has just been amazing to drive lately, with the dynamic weather and nearly every race having rain it makes for some amazing competition. Loving the content mate, keep it up. 👍

if I'm being honest I wish that Polyphony would make an updated version of the Z4 GT3 (as in bringing it to the same standard as today's GT3 cars, the model is incredible) and put that either next to the previous Z4 GT3 or in the Polyphony dealership, because the Z4 in my opinion feels a tad bit better than the M6, to me it feels a lot more stable when exiting corners like the Mercedes does, and it also doesn't feel as "boat-ish" as the M6 in slower corners... Not calling the M6 bad, I just like the Z4 better
I think the problem with games like GT7 where the physics get more realistic, it becomes increasingly difficult to control the car's throttle because in real life you are getting feedback with all of your senses, visually there is not FPS limit, you feel the car shifting weight etc, but in game all you have is the visual feedback at 60fps. There is no way to apply the throttle and wheel quick enough for sudden moments like those where you spin out when there is so much input lag unless the game somehow compensates for that. And since the physics are more realistic there is no compensation. That just begs the question, should the physics be *that* realistic that your console and wheel setup is what limits your experience? I'm not sure.
