In car detailing they use a clear plastic protection film (PPF) usually used to protect the front of the car from stone chips etc.. That might be an option (and easy to install on something small like this) and a good way to stop the base getting scratched whilst being invisible and retaining the original carbon fibre look. It also just peels off if you need to replace it once it's worn.

I'd say this is more an issue with the sim software than the pedals. No matter the car there should be no circumstance where you're reaching 100% of the available brake pressure. Especially because most real cars brake pressure are limited by the strength of the seals in the cylinders, with 100% being the point at which they fail. You should be hitting tire lock (or abs) well before the structural failure point of the brake hardware. Thus always allowing you to feel where you are in the brake input range.

I have one question, and sorry if I missed the comparison in your video. I'm building a new SimRig with the Simagic Alpha Wheelbase, and I'm trying to decide between two pedal options: the Simagic P1000F or the Moza CRP2. I know the P1000F offers a lot of customization and add-ons, but those come at a high price. One advantage might be staying within the Simagic ecosystem, but if I eventually add a clutch and h-shifter, I'd have to go outside the ecosystem anyway since the Simagic shifter is too expensive for me. On the other hand, the Moza CRP2 pedals seem similar in performance but are a bit cheaper. I also prefer the design of the Moza pedals, especially the pedal faces. Plus, Moza offers a more affordable ecosystem for adding things like a clutch pedal, h-shifter, and handbrake in the future. Would you say the Moza CRP2 pedals provide decent performance compared to the P1000F? Or are the P1000F worth the extra cost?
I am glad to see Moza is getting bigger and better than they were. Competition is what makes better products. I am all in on Fanatec. Better competition, better equipment.
I certainly champion Simagic. I first heard of them because people kept praising the Alpha Mini like its the holy grail of entry level DD, but I would tell you the P1000s is really what put them on the map.
I would really suggest SimMagic. I'm 3 for 4 on my Moza stuff being defective. R9v1 base had a defective wireless transmitter that was corrupting wheel firmware updates intermittently for about two years before Moza finally sent me a part to replace it the transmitter. That took a weekend and several new tools to remove stripped bolts. HGP shifter was intermittent after 2 hours and returned. Their Discord is also incredibly condescending and not very useful outside of very tier 1 "restart it and flash your firmware" type of responses. You learn quickly with this company to contact Moza directly, but definitely budget 2-3 months of troubleshooting/shipping defective stuff back and forth before you're up and running.
I like my Moza R9 and handbrake, but the CRP pedals were just bad, they looked good but couldn't compare to the Simagic P1000 when I was shopping. I still don't think these are good enough to directly compete with the P1000 especially with the aesthetic downgrade - but these seem like a good cheaper option with much of the same functionality I am glad Moza realized the pedals needed to be more practical. Me personally I cant see ever needing anything better than my P1000 inverted pedals, with the haptics they are soooo freaking good ill probably never upgrade.
Amazing but did you see the New MOZA mBooster ACTIVE PEDAL that is supposed to fit this pedalset?? Its supposed to be amazing, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ask moza to send you one and make a review ASAP :D Awesome videos and reviews thank you, keep it up
Shoes all the way, got some heavily discounted puma's with thin soles. Also 'water shoes' are getting popular for simracing (light, airy and a thin sole. Also pretty cheap)
I was looking for the exit when it comes to swapping out my Moza R9 base and buying a new wheel from Moza wasn't even a option for me but I have to admit, what I've seen so far and what's to come from Moza has me thinking I might just hang on to what I have and maybe invest in a new wheel in the very near future.
At this price, pedals like Simgrade VX-PRO or even the VRS (With a bit of money) are a much much better buy. Moza is trying to compete with the P1000, but they already lost the battle in my opinion. I think they should offer the set of 3 pedals for 399 because then it will attract the mid range sim racer. Asking for 399 for the Throttle + Brake is way above what these pedals are worth in my opinion.
Indeed. But I would not be surprised to see other companies make a universal active module that people can just hook into their pedals. I have a feeling that this the type of stuff that Simagic could do knowing the success they got with the P-HPR
It's really disappointing that the elastomer stack can't be swapped tool free. Until I get an active pedal, that's the thing I would be adjusting most often. I was hoping for P1000 levels of easy adjustability, plus mBooster comparibility.
Great review! I'm between these Moza pedals and the Simgrade VX-PRO. Moza has the option of adapting an active pedal. What do you recommend between these two pedal models? Regards and thanks.
If these was 100 pound cheaper, I would be able to get them, But as it stands there is no way I could justify spending 500 for a 3 pedal set, Charging hundred pounds for a clutch pedal is crazy if you ask me, Every pedal set should have a clutch regardless, We shouldn't have to buy a clutch to be honest, Even if most cars of today and race cars don't really use a clutch, A clutch is always a handy tool to have, Call me weird but I like to heel to toe even in a GT3 car, lol, I find the heel to toe action helps with more engine braking, The back end don't swing out when heel to toe action is involved, Like I said call me weird lol..... I will say though the software and after watching more of the video, The pedals is made well, And like I said the software and Bluetooth makes up for the price, But still too much for me, I will have to stick with Thrustmaster by the looks of it, i really do want a quality set of pedals, And could do with an upgrade to keep me in the sim racing, A boring set up gets boring faster lets just say, And sim racing is so big now surely companies can start becoming a tad bit cheaper, Like i said if they was 100 pounds cheaper or adding the clutch for free would help people like me who is a bit under the range of prices that these is, still though there will be a market for these, Just not for me, lol, I am happy with what I got, But it would be nice to have a new set of pedals, That would get me more involved with the sim racing, Between my depression and anxiety I get days where I am like F it, I can't be arsed sim racing today, And it is because having the same equipment gets repetitive, It seems like it is healthy to up your equipment within Sim Racing, Unless you got a few grand for a high end set up, I really do think high end equipment would keep you sim racing more, So to speak, Don't ask me why I think that, I guess the same set up for ages will create boredom, I only do online sim racing now, I no longer sets up races with AI, And maybe it is the repetitiveness of using the same equipment, I do feel though if some mid to high end equipment for sim racing was a bit cheaper a lot more people would get involved in sim racing, As it stands most people struggle to pay bills let alone buying a set up for sim racing, lol, I see PC parts is getting cheaper so why not the sim racing equipment, lol.... Still though I can see people buying these after seeing this review, If I had the spare few hundred pounds II would buy a set, Even if I do really hate the fact that the clutch is a separate purchase when it shouldn't be, I like to have a clutch so I would have to get one, And sim racing companies knows this, All i am saying is a clutch should be included as standard.... Still though great review, Will...... Hope life is treating you well.....
Lol, complaining about 'having to order the clutch seperate'. Others will(!!) complain if they don't have the option to buy a cheaper 2 pedal version of the set.... (So this is the best route for the moza) There are cheaper options to upgrade your TM's. I'm defo looking into these (and others) to replace my T-LCM's. Price is acceptable for me, they will become a little bit cheaper after a while or BF for example. (I didn't even read past 50% of your reply/rant, it became winy and a bit uninteresting.... Sorry not sorry)
@@thijsazerty692 A bit harsh ain't it, I am just bugged out why we have to pay extra for a clutch pedal, I am old school in that way, The main reason I got a GT-RS wheel, It comes up as a T500, Probably a PS5 thing, So you like paying extra for another pedal that really should be there in the first place, no offence but most cars got a clutch pedal makes it a bit more immersive IMO when you got a clutch on your rig, But yeah I bought the GT-RS wheel purely coz it was a steering and pedal set with a clutch that I could afford, And the TH8S shifter, It is plastic but for the price it is a good shifter, If I had bought the Moza wheel and pedals that would of been the same price, I would not have the clutch or gear stick, And coz I sim race in VR a fancy wheel isn't a big issue for me, And the GT-RS wheel is a lot better than the G29 I was using before, I am only being 100% honest when I say I can't afford the extra for the clutch and no clutch for me is just weird, I grew up driving cars using a clutch, So really a clutch should be included, It just seems counter productive to the brand if people got to pay extra for a clutch, If the brand includes the clutch the brand will sell more of the pedals, Coz if I feel I need or want a pedal to get the most from a sim rig then there will be other people who is in the same mind set as me, I don't mind sticking with Thrustmaster myself if it is an eco system that is within my budget, Like I said a pedal set with just the 2 pedals would be weird for me, I am used to driving cars with a clutch so I prefer to heel to toe, I guess it is just called toe without the clutch, lol.... And my comment was not a bash at Will, Will put together a top review here, Just with the clutch it is out of my price range, I am going to stop commenting, because there always seems to be one who wants to bash me for wanting to use a clutch and that I feel it should be included with the pedals set period.....
I have to agree just based on Moza's own advertising. For the R5 bundle, for example, Moza even advertises the clutch (i.e. a three-pedal system) on their retail box that it comes in. Love the bundle but that's misleading. Based on this, I think Moza thought the clutch should be included, but it just got too expensive.
I’m shopping around for my first DD wheel and come to find out the R5 bundle pedals aren’t compatible with anything above the R5 which sucks. I think I’m going to pull the trigger on these CRP2 paired with the R12 and the KS wheel. I think that’s the sweet spot for value and performance. Fanatec is currently under a rebuild and simucube prices are equivalent to a real car lol
Thanks for the review, looking at a bunch of pedals at the moment to put on a playseat trophy. Will you be doing a review on the simgrade VX pros? Dave says it’s one of if not the best pedals he’s ever used. They’re also £400 for the 2 pedal set.
Yep but it’s a while off yet. Got a pretty big backlog to get though at the moment. Dave’s got a good feel for these things. If he says they’re good, I doubt I’ll disagree.
Help with unique pedal requirements, Hi I am a double amputee right arm right leg and am looking at upgrading my sim racing experience. My real world daily drive has the accelerator to the left of brake and I would like to copy this for my sim racing setup. I will only ever use 2 pedals, however I would like to be able to quickly convert to right of brake when my mates want to drive. Is this possible without physically moving the pedals? Can pedals be assigned via software or player profiles or switching cables, could I buy a 3 pedal assembly and assign both outer pedals as an accelerator and the inside pedal as the brake. I love your content and have watched most of your reviews and looked on manufacturers websites but have not found a solution, so thought I would reach out.
Possible yes, you could just map them differently in the game. But the mechanical feeling of the pedals is totally different so it’s better to physically swap them.
I have the original crp pedals. The biggest draw back for me is the lack adjustment with the limited springs and elastomers. I'd be very interested to see if this performance kit would work with the original crp pedals straight out of the box or with some modifications
Great review! just on thing: Can't you scroll down on the Pedal configurator in the software to adjust the amount of brake sensor/load sensor like you can do in the SRP pedals for example? I've noticed the scroll bar in that screen and you saying you can't adjust the pedal sensor in the review but I haven't seen you mention this. Just in case
Yeah, they missed it obviously. I sometimes wonder why such galactic errors make it into reviews. You'd think they would go through the software with a fine toothed comb, but alas.
@@boostedmedia I say that because in the Moza beta I've noticed they added the telemetry section at the top, but that blocks the Load/position adjustment at the bottom. Which I find odd, at least with the SRP pedals I needed to scroll down on that screen to see the value and adjust it. I think the SRP ship with a 10% angle 90% sensor by default.
@@boostedmedia You didn't scroll down. That's literally it. The scroll bar on the right is a great indicator of things being left out. As far as the functionality goes, it works the same as CRP. Please, just resize your window or simply scroll down.
@FOREST10PL Just had another look and you're right. Surprised I missed this but mistakes happen. I have added a pinned comment for now and edited the incorrect parts out, but the changes will take a few hours to show up. Thanks for pointing it out.
Great review as always! So how would these stack up against the CSL Elite V2 in terms of bang for the buck? Looking at their web sites here from Sweden I can pre-order the CRP 2 for €449 and that seems to include shipping and taxes. The CSL goes for €326 including shipping and taxes, so are the CRP 2 worth the extra £123?
I'm wondering about the inverting-kit (upside-down-pedals for better feel) they sell on the website....especially wondering if my Heusinkveld Sprint's might also be installed into the inverter kit... it looks very solid and nice... but i lack the skills to create one myself for my existing/already expensive kit.
Wondering if you would be able to answer if the SR-P pedals can be used with the moza CRP2 inversion kit. There is no compatibility information on their website. Width wise the pedals should fit but the mounting system looks like it might be different. From a consumer perspective it's impossible to tell without buying it.
Hey Will, I almost thought I misheard you..... Can you expand on what is happening with Fanatec??? Did you say insolvency? As a user of their products this sounds bad. Had a quick search, plenty of supplier issues but no mention of going under?? Cheers, Paul
I think the VRS pedals are fundamentally a more robust design. They’re also quite a bit more expensive though. So it’s really up to you. Personally I’d pay the extra.
Hello hope you're fine Please can you tell me what makes the crp2 pedals better than the crp1 pedals and what is the main deference between them Thank you
they should make somehow the piece on the clutch that gives that bitepoint sensation to be replaced so u could get a linear clutch imo. i don't think is that hard to do that...
Hey Will. Could you drop me a link for a good Australian retailer for dd wheels? One of my best buddy's in Adelaide is frantically looking for a reliable dealer.
The problem with your gripe about bump stops on brakes is that there is actually a bump stop in real cars.. there is a point when the pedal hits a bump stop and pushing harder isnt squeezing your pads any harder onto the rotor... if anything, im EXTREMELY happy that they included the option for a bump stop on the brake.
That’s not the case. If you are hitting a hard stop it means there’s probably air in the lines and you’re bottoming out the pedal because there’s not enough pressure in the system
I have the moza crp pedals. The load cell has broken 3 times so far and it was missing the brace plate that goes over the load cell when I first got it. Terrible design
They have stolen Simagic design to the letter, from elastomers to brake piston design to holes on top of the pedal plate to adjustable rotating pedal faces to heel stopper...etc
@@Andybarney555 I don't disagree. I haven't touched my spring setup in like 3 months, but it's nice to know if I want to fiddle with it, I don't have to do a complete disassembly
I love my fanatic wheel base and I'm not afraid to admit it 😀 and the connections on the ends of those moza pedals look the same as fanatecs. Does anyone know if the 2 brands are cross compatible
The mechanical structure and rubber pad of the CRP are clearly copied from Simagic's P1000. With all the money they make, couldn't they hire a better designer?
Im still waiting for Fanatec to give me a label for a refund of my QR2, its been 2 months now, and they started ghosting me, after confirming they would refund.
There are at least 5 users here who are praising simagic having new TH-cam accounts and their content is basically copy paste of each other. Chatbots everywhere lol
It’s evident that Moza’s CRP pedals have borrowed heavily from Simagic’s P1000. This lack of originality is quite disappointing in a competitive market.

Very nice review!
Amazing but did you see the New MOZA mBooster ACTIVE PEDAL that is supposed to fit this pedalset??
Its supposed to be amazing, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ask moza to send you one and make a review ASAP :D
Awesome videos and reviews thank you, keep it up
Yes. It’s mentioned in the first few minutes of this video. We will be reviewing it asap.
@@boostedmedia you're awesome thank you again
Hi Will
Another great review.
I didn't catch a comparison I'm very curious about.
How do you feel about the CRP2's verses the Sim-Lab XP1's?
One thing I noticed about the boots scratching the plate, I feel like most people just play in socks
Ive covered my thrustie loadcell base with grip tape!. Stops wear adds grip. On pedal front aswell. Id do same with these.
I always drive in shoes. Feels wrong to not wear shoes when driving to me
Shoes all the way, got some heavily discounted puma's with thin soles. Also 'water shoes' are getting popular for simracing (light, airy and a thin sole. Also pretty cheap)
I use socks or barefoot without any shame to admit ahah
Slippers for me 😂
I was looking for the exit when it comes to swapping out my Moza R9 base and buying a new wheel from Moza wasn't even a option for me but I have to admit, what I've seen so far and what's to come from Moza has me thinking I might just hang on to what I have and maybe invest in a new wheel in the very near future.
seems like a nice set, thought not a bit fan of how Moza and Simagic price the inversion kit...
Until you can add the active brake pedal for less than £1000...aware that this could age like milk 😅
Indeed. But I would not be surprised to see other companies make a universal active module that people can just hook into their pedals. I have a feeling that this the type of stuff that Simagic could do knowing the success they got with the P-HPR
@@ilyeshammadi7278if simagic did it it would be way more expensive than the Moza active pedals
It's really disappointing that the elastomer stack can't be swapped tool free. Until I get an active pedal, that's the thing I would be adjusting most often. I was hoping for P1000 levels of easy adjustability, plus mBooster comparibility.
Finally Moza makes a set of pedals that doesn't look goofy
(So this is the best route for the moza)
There are cheaper options to upgrade your TM's.
Notice the similarities between Moza’s CRP and Simagic’s P1000? The design and components look almost identical. A bit disappointing!
I have the sprint pedals but these are absolutely gorgeous
@@boostedmedia looking forward to the videos!! You’re the main reason why I’m getting back into sim racing.
Wish they had the performance of the new with the aesthetic of the old.
The throttle, brake, and clutch mechanisms are basically the same with p1000
Wow, a chinese company copying a chinese company 😅.
Considering they're in that Clubsport V3 price range, recommending them over the V3s is pretty big.
It's getting harder and harder to point out the differences between these pedal sets. 🤔
How would these compare to the Logitech Pro load cell pedals?
I have the original crp pedals. The biggest draw back for me is the lack adjustment with the limited springs and elastomers. I'd be very interested to see if this performance kit would work with the original crp pedals straight out of the box or with some modifications
Great review! just on thing:
Can't you scroll down on the Pedal configurator in the software to adjust the amount of brake sensor/load sensor like you can do in the SRP pedals for example? I've noticed the scroll bar in that screen and you saying you can't adjust the pedal sensor in the review but I haven't seen you mention this. Just in case
Yeah, they missed it obviously. I sometimes wonder why such galactic errors make it into reviews. You'd think they would go through the software with a fine toothed comb, but alas.
I couldn't find a way with the software version I was running to isolate the load cell from the angle sensor.
There's a slider that allows you to select the percentage of angle/load cell ratio. I'm maintaining the Moza Linux driver and linux moza software (Boxflat) and they recently changed how it's presented to the user, but it's still there. Please, just resize your window or simply scroll down.
@FOREST10PL Just had another look and you're right. Surprised I missed this but mistakes happen. I have added a pinned comment for now and edited the incorrect parts out, but the changes will take a few hours to show up. Thanks for pointing it out.
Hey Will a little off topic but have Moza sent the indicator stalk for you to have a look at yet??
When you Will please check it out with Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown and not just ETS2
No we haven’t received it yet.
I can’t recommend buying from Fanatec currently until there is more clarity on their future, but I still think the CSLs are better value.
@@boostedmedia thank you! That was a fast response, especially given that it must be pretty late down under now 🙂
I really hope they sort things out!
Just in time!!
I'll be getting into racing soon. How do other drivers with US13/EU48 feet deal with pedals? All fine, or specifics to be wary of?
Wondering if you would be able to answer if the SR-P pedals can be used with the moza CRP2 inversion kit. There is no compatibility information on their website. Width wise the pedals should fit but the mounting system looks like it might be different. From a consumer perspective it's impossible to tell without buying it.
How about Simagic 2000 pedals?
Im gonna play drinking game called "This Guy".
Rules are: Every time this guy says this guy, this guy takes a sip of beer
Hey Will, I almost thought I misheard you..... Can you expand on what is happening with Fanatec??? Did you say insolvency? As a user of their products this sounds bad. Had a quick search, plenty of supplier issues but no mention of going under?? Cheers, Paul

Simagic CRP2 , is the correct name?
I've been using my CSL v2's for some time now. And only willing to replace if i break them or Moza's new active pedals are what im hoping they are.
Hey Will- how do these compare to the VRS pedals? Are those worth splurging the extra cash over these in your opinion?
I think the VRS pedals are fundamentally a more robust design. They’re also quite a bit more expensive though. So it’s really up to you. Personally I’d pay the extra.
I was hoping for innovation from Moza, but their CRP...
Love the shirt
Would you recommend them over the all time best Fanatec CSL Elite V2?
LoL I want that t-shirt! :D

Great t-shirt :D
Thanks. They’re available on our merch store ;)
Should I get the crp2, 2 pedal set or the simforge mark 1, 3 pedal set?
Seeing Moza’s CRP pedals, it’s hard not to think they’re copying Simagic’s P1000. They could definitely do better with their design team.
Hello hope you're fine
Please can you tell me what makes the crp2 pedals better than the crp1 pedals and what is the main deference between them
Thank you
Will these fit on the playseat trophy cockpit?
I'm not the only one who think's it is awfully similar to the P1000 right...
What's the odds the haptics from Simagic slot right on 😂
they should make somehow the piece on the clutch that gives that bitepoint sensation to be replaced so u could get a linear clutch imo. i don't think is that hard to do that...
is it worth it to upgrade to these coming from the original crp pedals?
How is the noise from the clutch when "falling" into 2nd stage? And how are all the end stop noises?
That clutch on the right swinging more then a chequered flag during race finish
Its not bolted down
@@boostedmedia Ah. yea. my bad. It was the only pedal moving during the first minutes
Hey Will. Could you drop me a link for a good Australian retailer for dd wheels? One of my best buddy's in Adelaide is frantically looking for a reliable dealer.
Wonder how these compare to my CST pedals…
9:38 that's allot of "slop" I swear after seeing this that, the clutch pedal on the older moza set is moving just from will talking lol
Does the throttle still have the thud when its released fast like on the CRPs?
I know you've probably said before, but I must have missed it. Why, as an Aussie with a channel made in Australia, do you always say prices in USD?
Since ww2 international commodities have been bought and sold using USD. It is a good barometer of international value.
Cause the viewership is mostly made up from people outside of AUS
We generally list whatever currency the manufacturer does, but lean toward USD because most viewers are in the US.
pretty big upgrade and slightly cheaper... nice
Shipping is so expensive
Can you attach simagic haptic reactors to these pedals?
I always thought it was absurd that your options for pedals from moza was either like $100 or $500 with no in between.
They have stolen Simagic design to the letter, from elastomers to brake piston design to holes on top of the pedal plate to adjustable rotating pedal faces to heel stopper...etc
Oof that brake elastomer swapping process looks really painful.
Can basically do it with one hand with my P1000 P-HYSi
Case of fidle till found. Then leave forever!. Not big deal is it
In the first version is painful
@@Andybarney555 I don't disagree. I haven't touched my spring setup in like 3 months, but it's nice to know if I want to fiddle with it, I don't have to do a complete disassembly
Just the fact you can buy a Moza direct drive and pedals from JB-HIFI...
I love my fanatic wheel base and I'm not afraid to admit it 😀 and the connections on the ends of those moza pedals look the same as fanatecs.
Does anyone know if the 2 brands are cross compatible
🤞they are good!
I wish they just used metal springs instead of rubber. Because rubber degrades over time and loses stiffness.
Where is playstion compatibility Moza?
Fifth…. Like of whiskey or vodka… I’ll take it
The mechanical structure and rubber pad of the CRP are clearly copied from Simagic's P1000. With all the money they make, couldn't they hire a better designer?
Im still waiting for Fanatec to give me a label for a refund of my QR2, its been 2 months now, and they started ghosting me, after confirming they would refund.
🤦♂️ sorry to hear this. Thanks for sharing.
Has anyone else noticed how the Moza CRP pedals are strikingly similar to the Simagic P1000? Makes me wonder about their design approach.
They need to make a ps5 base
There are at least 5 users here who are praising simagic having new TH-cam accounts and their content is basically copy paste of each other.
Chatbots everywhere lol
It’s evident that Moza’s CRP pedals have borrowed heavily from Simagic’s P1000. This lack of originality is quite disappointing in a competitive market.
