As a person turning 30 this year, my advice for younger ppl in their early 20s 1. to focus on increasing your active income first, too many young ppl with salary of under 2.5k asking what to invest, truth is, u need to have money to invest, your 20s should b focused on increasing ur income, it's okay to start later, when u have more money, I only started at 29, but since I spend most of 20s increasing my income, I was able to build a 6 figure portfolio in under 2 years 2. As much as it looks nice to start a business or be an entrepreneur, truth is, most of us will fail at it, you're welcomed to try, but if u can have a job that gives u a 6 figure annual salary, is it worth the risk? How sure are u that u can succeed? These are legit qs u need to ask urself
💯! Everyone loves a successful entrepreneurship story, but not many know that 8/9 in 10 entrepreneurs fail and lose more than they will ever earn from employment in years.
One money tip I wish i know earlier is how to calculate how much money I need to invest/save to be achieve financial freedom by certain age - right before I graduate uni. I would have made different career decisions at different stage of life if I learn this earlier.
Pointless. At that age, you wouldn't know yet that you would hate work / rat race. 😂 Like a good song, some things you have to experience first before you understand.
A 10 mins video becomes almost 30mins for me, to take notes and repeat the points. You make a lot of great videos Ziet but this one has to be one of the top ones. Each and every tip is gold. Thanks for sharing! My one tip (and my plan): I have already learned more than enough about financial planning and investment, the missing puzzle for me currently is to increase my active income. Simply put, I have done building my car, and now it's time for me to further accelerate the car. I need more money coming in to further plan and invest, to keep my car moving faster.
Awww that's so heartwarming to know! You go man, finally putting your time and effort into generating active income is the beginning of wealth multiplication stage - keep punching at it, it will bring scalable returns beyond the typical excel sheets' projections💯
Subscribing to your channel is no regret for sure. Always a time where I see your videos and had a thought that I should really do more for my potential. Keep doing what you do bro, really motivating❤
This is amazing to hear! This video deserves millions of likes. Thank you for sharing and providing such valuable content. I’ve followed you now and am looking forward to more financial insights like this. Please create more content
Wouldn't say it's a tip but more to a lesson that I've learned the hard way is to always ask around about finance in general. Many could have relate that money is considered as a taboo or sensitive issue to discuss about. Now I know the hard way that there're people who's willing to share inputs and exchange stories. The dos and don'ts. Not everyone is going to judge u if you're making poor financial decision, but if u choose not to seek, you'll never know where u went wrong and what you could have change for better. So ask around! Even & especially about money!
💯! People are more than willing to share their success and failure stories; only those selfish will judge or keep to themselves, if that’s the case, you wouldn’t want to have anything to do with them either
Hi @ziet can you please make video for the below questions for webulll My ibkr and moomoo My.. No one is giving right response 1 where brokers keep my shares? Is there any custodian that actually stores my shares. If something happenes to broker app how to claim my shares? Can i access custodian website and check my holdings? 2 what is the procedure to pass my asset to my family in case of sudden death. I am your great fan
Hello! 1. IBKR (not a licensed body in malaysia) keeps under a "street name", rather similar to a nominee account, but you will still have the right to vote and received dividends. Same goes to moomoo, its a nominee account in malaysia at the moment (but moomoo/webull is a licensed body in malaysia). If something happens, your coverage falls under the regulatory/insurer purview of the broker, SIPC+SEC for IBKR LLC (US), while moomoo is SC Malaysia + CMC Fund. 2. For inheritance, its more complicated for IBKR since they dont have an operating body here, need to get a lawyer that is familiar with US law yourself and approach IBKR customer support to set up a will. For moomoo MY, you can contact their customer support, they should be able to advise you on the will setup but its not a straightforward process either - might involve fees, they would be able to tell you more about that. Hope this clarifies!
I dont really agree with point 3 about desensizting yourself with small money. Its actually the same as work smart but better yet, work smart + hard. As a 9 to 6 salaried person, my income is very much fixed, so the additional money really come from saving. Can I do PT jobs on weekend? Yes, but thats labor exchanged work and I think I prefer some break from work. The saving parts are achieved through maximizing the different cashback from credit card, looking for the highest interest rate products among other (like if therr is 4% one why should I settle with 3%?), bulk purchase daily essential during sales period for maximum saving etc. All the little savings count and the compound interest does add up. The point is that when creating income is not a choice/ carries more cost, then focus on saving no matter big/small. At the end of the day, sikit2 lama can jadi bukit.
Very good video, it would be interesting if you made a video about - How to manage your daily life with your professional life, I don't know if there is already a video of this type.
Invest only what you can afford to lose. I’ve seen too many guys investing everything in bitcoins or stocks and losing everything then go back to live with their parents at 30yo…
8. work smart and work hard HAHAHA, I can relates so much throughout my postgraduate life (Master & PhD) around 7 years, have been working throughout the weekends and nights. Again, thank you for starting the channel around 3-4 years back, seeing someone at the same age as me, it pushes me to try it out as well. All sort of different investment randomly have been tested with the intention of experiencing it. Now, I am back again after completing my studies, and I think it's a great time to start and reflects all the dumb decision in investing that I have done in the previous years. face-blue-smiling
Can you make a video on how to get the SPYL USD accumulating(T.E.R 0.03%) from LSEE on IBKR? Apparently it is available through IBKR via there contract.ibkr search page, however the resulting stock appears to be at EBS and not LSEE. Some reddit comment said in order to get it from LSEE, it may require some fiddling within the TWS platform(a dropdown in the advanced buy tab) to be able to choose the LSEETF version of the SPYL stock. Can you and your team search this process and make a video for us laymen. Thanks PS: If you are able to make such a video(fingers crossed). I also request that you guide how to make it recurring if possible from the LSEE.
@@ZietInvests Thank you for acknowledging. If you decide to do this, one thing I have struggling to find so far over the internet is the comparison between SPY and SPYL, both are from SPDR. So I would wish to see how much their holdings bear similarities to one another? Is SPYL truly a one on one replication of SPY or does it go about changing its holdings. Stuff like that would be very beneficial as SPYL is relatively new to the UCITS arena. But flaunting TER of 0.03% what is the catch. Is it really that good?
