    Avoid garlic? HELL NO! That cures almost everything.
    Two foods that I cannot tolerate are: bitter melons and turmeric. I'm allergic to both. Skin breaks out when consumed beyond a very small amount.
    Best advice here is from Christina.

      Never heard such rubbish. Garlic is a natural anti-biotic, anti fungal, removes fat deposits from arteries, builds resistance, can be applied externally for fungus infections, internally for fevers and infectious deseases, cures BPH for many people. Poisoned bullets? ha ha , maybe the soldiers were cannibals and wanted to flavour the meat ! It's the only reason anyone would do that. People on the video and people agreeing with pure undiluted BS !

      Nor do you produce any "fundamental knowledge"-just hearsay and emotionality based faith.
      Raw Garlic has it benefits-but is idiotically over hyped by such as you. The placebo affect may be fine for such as your mania-but scientifically-garlic is not a panacea of ills.
      Try not to mislead the YT community with your almost obsessive and somewhat religious and idiotically unscientific mania over the benefits of Garlic-foolish and moronic self delusion...

      She is correct about garlic, it's toxic. The reason garlic is so toxic, the sulphone hydroxyl ion penetrates the blood-brain barrier, just like DMSO, and is a specific poison for higher-life forms and brain cells. web site is www.healthilluminationproducts.com/page/garlic a little more info on the matter. Peace!!

      datboiment many fruits and seeds contain arsenic and everyone still eats them and they are perfectly safe. there is nothing wrong with eating garlic in its whole state. they say the same nonsense about comfrey and sassafras. herbs in their whole raw state are wonderful, when you isolate one compound then it can be toxic.

    Yeah, I'm seriously questioning this too. The only thing I agree with is GMOs and 'anything that doesn't love you back' which isn't really a specific food but is a good general philosophy. I mean seriously... garlic has been linked numerous times to SO many medical health benefits. Researchers put a lot of effort into the tests they conduct and no matter how many years of raw food experience someone has, if the science isn't there to back it up... well, then I'm just not sold.

    Raw garlic is super extra healthy, and these people must say that they are not compatible with those foods, rather than blame them as unhealthy.Not everyone is compatible with a certain type of food or a certain diet.
    For me, a balanced died with low fat animal products in small quantity works best and i think it's the best for me.
    If you think that raw diet works best for you and you feel satisfied then you should go for it.

      In India, traditional yogis don't eat garlic, because of -in very short- its exciting properties, causing restlessness, etc. (which echoes what the lady mentioned in her own words). According to a famous origin myth is has both divine and demonic origins / properties. Its properties for the immune systems are also recognized in parallel and garlic is appreciated by many... but not used by those aiming for deep inner peace who spend their lives monitoring within (the yogis, in clear). In traditional european lore, garlic is also sometimes cautioned against for similar reasons: creating restlessness, nightmares, etc. So it is not that surprising that she mentions here experience like that. Something to try for oneself from time to time to see whether it makes a difference or not, I'd say

    I appreciate the opinions & experiences here. Also on top of this advice listen to your body and take things with a grain of salt(figuratively and possibly literally) people can react differently to different foods and should try for themselves. The main thing is compassion in how one obtains their food.

      Oh cool, that's how I tend to feel about life, Being totally open but not necessarily turn anything into a fixed belief, and hopefully letting deep intuition/heart flourish.
      The exception could perhaps be holding the belief that compassion is our top priority, although it would be better to intuitive FEEL compassion exuding from our very core.

      Yep it's why nature has for the most part thrived for billions of years and we come along and trash it in a matter of hundreds of years, because we are like these anomalies, we compartMENTALize, we create an appearance of separation or disconnection when there really isn't any. Being closed minded/hearted is the compartmentalization you speak of.

    With the acception of consuming unripe fruits and certain fermented products, this list is rather personal, not a rule of thumb. Garlic is very safe to eat. The worst side effect of it is people know when you eat it, because it is on your breath, and can be smelled when you sweat.

      I think most arguments that go against garlic are to do with 'sulphone hydroxyl ions'. They are said to penetrate the blood-brain barrier and for that reason are considered poisonous. I don't personally know the if there's truth behind it. I do know that taoist sages specifically avoided garlic and onions because of the effect they have on the brain. Maybe give it a google and see what opinion you end up with.

    Lot of people in comments exaggerating they look ill. How many Americans are fat sick and on medication? It's the norm to be sick. Many of these people in the vid are very active as runners/cyclists because of the energy they feel on raw foods. There are fruitarians who focus on weight training and are ripped. Many Americans being fat and sick is mostly due to
      1) Poor eating habits and/or self control

      I thought they looked fine, some great, some good. Didn't see anyone I thought looked poorly. Some of them are about 10-15 years older than many think they are like Doug. If he's in his early 60s but people think he's in his late 40s or early 50s I could see how they might think "oh he doesn't look so great". This is often the case with raw foodies. They vibrate much younger energetically than their age, so people assume they're younger and don't look good.

      +Arctic Monkeys Simple question to answer, wich are generally the people that change their lifestyle in anyway? Usually its mostly the ones that made them self so sick on their previous lifstyles and perhaps hit their rock bottom. Thats my own experience too, and if you been using lots of drugs, alkohol, or just alot of toxic food maybe together with a horrible job (toxic fumes for example) your body will tend to show signs of it.
      But most people think that if its a PHOTOSHOPPED video of someone with amazing edited skin and curves, their are telling the truth... GOSH human logic is further from logic than growing mangos on the dark side of the moon.

      Also, no one knows exactly what they eat either. The fallacy here is that there is a single "right" diet for all body types. It simply is not true and not backed by science. Some in the raw food "community" (please) set themselves up as quasi celebrities or mentor/gurus simply because they've managed to consciously not apply heat to food for several years. Many know naught about nutrition and frankly, since people can be easily led, I find these people potentially dangerous.

      Jesus was not a vegan or vegetarian either as he ate the Passover meal which had a lamb or goat meat it also had raw herbs. In the bible it says that the herb of the field is a medicine for you (paraphrased).
      A few thoughts on this, in His time there was not as much pollution, the soil was not as depleted of nutrients so the foods would have more nutrients even when cooked. He did eat raw uncooked foods. His disciples were accused of not following the Rabbinical Sabbath Law by rolling wheat or some grain in there hands and eating them right off the plant on the Sabbath. He ate bread that was baked. He drank wine whether or not it was fermented is up for debate. Many fruits and veggies back then were eaten raw. He also fasted. Oh and he did not have to worry about GMO's or non-organic foods or man made pesticides.

    • @NathanDion
      @NathanDion 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      John Driver - Did you ever consider the possibility that Jesus did not have Lamb at his supper? Here is a thought on it... Jesus WAS the paschal lamb. He WAS the sin offering. It would be redundant to have a dead lamb on the table as a sin offering, but then offer his disciples bread saying "This is my flesh" and wine saying "This is my blood" .
      Another thing, the feeding the multitudes has him doing it with fish in one story and without in another. (some scholars say the fish are merely symbolic)
      Also the translinear editions of scripture shows the "meat" words actually were just "food".
      I am not saying it can be proven either way... I am saying their is absolutely room for it to be possible. In my mind it would stand to reason that Jesus being the "Lord of Life" and the absolute personification of compassion would be "vegan".
      Also he was from Nazareth, and his ideas were very much in cohesion with the "Nazarene" beliefs and those who took the Nazarene oath lived as vegetarians. The prophets all along condemned animal sacrifice. See Isaiah 1:11.
      Also the Apostles were vegetarian at the end of their lives.
      Do you have to be Vegan to be saved - NO, but it definately is a more compassionate way to live and besides "Thou shalt not kill" there is also so many times Jesus highlights the actions of the merciful as pleasing to God.

    • @johndriver7260
      @johndriver7260 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's an interesting thought but I am thinking he kept these moedim or appointed times of Yahweh all his life before he was the paschal lamb as the Torah instructed the Jews to keep it every year.
      Surely his parents kept it as well. To not do it would have been a violation of these instructions. Violation of the commands of His Father was not something he could do and still be the fulfillment of the Law and the prophets.
      I think before Noah everyone may have been a vegetarian though!

    • @NathanDion
      @NathanDion 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, here is another thought on that. Jesus was the fulfillment of the law. He was to fulfill all righteousness. But how do you reconcile Isaiah 1:11? Jesus even quoted this passage in the Gospels (which is proof of its relevancy) and these "sacrifices" were prescribed by the law of Moses. Is Isaiah unrighteous in his declaration in this scripture? I think not. Which tells me that if Jesus were attributed with fulfilling all of these "prescribed laws" to the letter, he would not have been considered so radical by the Pharisees and the Sadducees. They would have just called him a "good Jew". The fact is Jesus took every opportunity to point out the flaws in the way people practiced their worship. Jesus did however keep God's law. Honor thy God with all thy heart, soul, and strength and love thy neighbor as thyself - this is the Law and the Prophets.
      I am not a scholar. I dont read scripture nearly as much as I should. I have read some about the Essenes, and see much of how much of Jesus preaching is in line with their practice of the Jewish faith. Essenes were Jews and were known to often be vegetarian. Does that mean they stopped to eat the Passover, then were vegetarian again later?
      I dont know. I do feel there is enough reasonable doubt to say it is impossible to say either way if Jesus was vegetarian. There too many years, translations, and interpretations to have a foolproof historical source of info that would settle it.
      Good talk though

    My grandparents ate raw garlic almost every day and they are in their 80's . It is nature's antibiotic. Raw garlic helped me get over my pneumonia in half the time, this is nonsense! My great grandma ate it raw every day and she lived until 104! Experts..... Rofl sorry no. Free levels you said garlic doesn't make you look the best how much garlic did you have to eat to come to that conclusion? I highly highly doubt it if you had a couple cloves of garlic it would affect your appearance in anyway maybe it was all the bananas you were eating that's unhealthy and very hard on your liver with all the sugars and carbs, in the amounts you eat. High carbs and sugars actually contribute to fatty liver not fats. I lost 134 pounds in a year eating a very healthy Whole Foods ketogenic diet and I healed my heart my liver, PCOS and got rid of my type 2 diabetes avoiding carbs and sugars. i'm not trying to be mean at all I'm just saying these guys are not experts in anyway they are just vegans who preach their vegan lifestyle. That's fine whatever floats your boat, but leave the garlic alone LOL my story is on my TH-cam channel if you want to see what I'm talking about.

      The sugar in fruit is fructose and by no means could it be bad because fructose needs no insulin to be digested. You are just misguided by so much misinfo out there. You'd better get yourself educated...

    Garlic is not meant to be consumed as often as some people do. And some people just can't deal with it. It varies from person to person.

    Since everyone is different I agree with staying away with foods that don't agree with you. I also agree with John; Vermont finally has a law that GMO foods must be labeled, I hope the rest of the US follows along!

    Cashews are extremely good for you. Just don't get them salted. Try to avoid salted nuts as we get more than enough sodium in life. WIth low salted or salted just limit the consumption to a smaller amount at a time. Always be sure you get enough potassium through supplementation if need be but buying a nice big juicer(recommend the Omega models at John's store-they work great and have long warranties) and juice greens/veggies even some fruits and add berries. Cashews are relatively low fat for nuts and have anti carcinogens and good nutrient profile. www.livestrong.com/article/445717-how-are-cashews-good-for-you/ They are not technically raw because of the process used to remove them from the shell- true. However they are good for your health etc. My problem was with the first lady who said the nut had toxins which is not true at all. Just wanted to make the point that they are safe and good for you albeit maybe not so raw so some strange rumor doesn't fly around net world.

    the sad part about all these people except for the two girls (who r both young btw n below 30) is that it does not seem like eating raw foods has had any particular benefits in terms of health. they are growing old just like everyone else and its showing on the skin, what is the point of avoiding delicious cooked foods then if ur going to age like everyone else? worse is when u see many of them actually look more sick than people eating cooked foods and around the same age.

    Freela the banana girl is likely allergic to garlic because of the compound diallyl disulfide which is in all members of the allium family and also in bananas.

      SuperSaltydog77 interesting.. 'allergic' may be gut dysbiosis too.Both garlic and banana are common difficulties for sensitive gut people ( personally had this and decided to omit both. I found I could live without banana (although 10 years on, I delight in an occasional Frozen treat in summer) but I could live not without garlic. After a period of abstinence I was able to tolerate dried powder (read 'de-natured' - but that probably rendered that "DD" chemical impotent, and then later I added fresh to long-cooked soups (same likely de-naturing), and in the meantime my gut has corrected and I don't seem to have a problem. Alejandro Junger suggests correcting the gut...

      ***** I doubt it. I ate all sort of fruits and veggies when I was pregnant and avoided unhealthy stuff. At the time my grandmother gave him garlic he was only beginning to eat. I would say he was probably just more sensitive that the norm but I doubt there were any serious issues with his diggestion. He was breastfed and I watched what i ate.
