  • John from www.okraw.com shares with what he eats in a day when at home on a raw food diet. In this episode you will see each of John's meals that hopefully will give you some idea how to eat a healthy raw plant based diet. You will see this fully transparent video of all the food that goes into John's mouth when he is at home in this single day. John will also share the different raw foods he can choose from in each meal to give you some flexibility and options with your diet.
After watching this episode, you will have a pretty good idea of what you might want to eat on a raw food diet.
Here is a lecture John gave on how to make a raw food soup:

It is good that John is honest, he admitted that juice was not great, that it tasted like cucumber but most of the people who make raw videos pretend everything is the most awesome thing ever.
It must work for him, he has really pretty skin.

Candide Thirtythree Some of those juices are pretty awesome. Wheat grass and orange is delicious. Kale and grape is a fantastic combo too. But sometimes the juice isn't so good. As long as the juice tastes good enough to drink that's what's important.

Nah, none of it tastes good. My mother was all into juicing and there was never a single drop of it that was good unless it was all fruit. Most of it makes you gag and then you belch and shit all day, not something you can do with a real job.
Should just eat the stuff, your body can take care of digesting it, you don't need to give it a running start. LOL!

Good job again, John. You are a blessing to me. I have followed you to build a beautiful very productive garden this year which I have always admired, not knowing how to use all my produce, being that I am from Africa and I have never seen or eaten most of my plants before. I have bought your juicer already. This video is a bomb for me! THANK YOU, JOHN!!!

If I only have unripe/tart fruit then I mix pineapple with it. Pineapple, when ripe, is very sweet. Sometimes I will just have the juice bought from the shop but, (the majority of the time) I have fresh around. Both of which I will freeze a day or two's worth for 'emergencies' in case I run out.
If I have just done a shop then it's likely that none of my fruit is ripe. I try to buy in advance of needing it but this isn't always possible. Just keeping some frozen ripe pineapple (or the juice of) will save you in this situation if you struggle to consume tart/less sweet fruit.

hi John, I've watched your youtube channels both growing your green and OKraw for a couple of years now. Thank you for putting them on. I have learned a lot. A little bit about my back ground: I am a nurse. I work 12 hours shift. I have only 30 minutes for lunch. I've been mostly raw for the last 2 years. I found myself hungry on the days I work. My question is before you work for yourself did you have a JOB that required at least 8 hours/day? How did you manage to eat raw?ThanksJodie

So you could use Probiotics sparingly and save some money. Raw Onions and Garlic also have lots of Prebiotics.

John, I love your testimonial of how raw food saved your life including sharing about your skin disorder. I cried with you because my own poor brother Jon who's 18yrs. younger then I, was born allergic to everything. Our mother and his father would be provided all kinds of medications for his skin. When he was a baby, my grandmother would alter his sleeves shut so he wouldn't scratch his skin. At one time, I remember his fingers got through and he scratch himself so hard he was bleeding all over. All throughout schools he was bullied for his condition. At 21 he has had a bad case of psoriasis. Also, he has bad allergies. His diet has been nothing but French fries, bake potato, and chips. All his life he has been scared to try anything different to eat due to possibly making him sick. If you could encourage in anyway, I would appreciate it greatly. God has allowed me discover this lifestyle, but you open my eyes with your pass condition. Thank you for sharing. I will be passing the info to my brother in hope that he may grasp this Lifestyle.

That's a whole lot of blending, which I do not find to be that healthy for ME. The papaya was gorgeous. I would have squeezed lime on it and ate it whole. The cucumber was amazing. Again,I would have had cucumber salad with tomatoes and basil and avocado diced not juiced. Perhaps you blend so much because you have digestion challenges? I could never consume that much heavy liquid and although I am woman (Helen Reddy), I am twice your size/height. Well, thanks for sharing!

if you're eating a fully raw diet, why do you need a probiotic? If raw is optimal you shouldn't need a probiotic, your intestinal flora should already be good especially after 19yrs....
