If your salad leaves did end up slightly wilted:
Put all of them in a bowl of water and let them sit for a while. It's like watering a flower :-)
Then take them out when they're crisp and use them quickly after!

I started to tear up towards the end... when you talk about eating raw and loving more, it makes me emotional. i’m a vegan trying to go the whole way to raw because of the spiritual connection I feel eating this way. I was trying to explain it to a friend the other night, the way I feel connected to the earth is something i’ve felt this strongly before. she kinda thought I was crazy when I went off in a passionate rant. the same day I saw a video of you & John Rose both talking about the spiritual connection you feel from eating. regardless, you’ve really woken something up inside me and thank you so much. I love you and I hope you are having an amazing day. together we’re changing the world. 💭🌲🐳💕🌤🦋

We pick and choose what is of importance to us. I buy what’s on sale, and most often by non organic, unless organic is on sale. Also, make sure to by according to the season. @Mikelpsu11 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

KettiexD Just try a plant-based vegan diet. There's nothing wrong with cooked foods like rice, potatoes, etc. It's still vegan, still healthy, and honestly it's cheaper than the standard american diet. Plus the rice, potatoes, quinao, or whatever else come in big amounts so you buy them less frequently. This is what I do. I of course still consume a good amount of fruits and veggies but those combined with 1 or 2 cooked meals a day it ends up being cheap.

I only get what I need for 2-3 days and go to the market a few times a week. I hate going to the market but always enjoy myself when I get there and find new produce in season. Thank you.

You have such a lovely and calming voice Kristina :) another great video, it really helps a lot. I am vegan but I am really making an effort to start eating 80/10/10. I am still going to eat rice and cook soups and simple risotto recipes once in a while until I feel fully comfortable and confident in getting the right amounts of food. Hopefully though, one day I might go full on. You are such an inspiration! I love you

Great tip about the spritzing of green veg and putting them into non-plastic bags. Will put that into practise. Great balancing of the mango's too! I love the funny bits at the end of most of your vid's, I always keep watching to see those. Bless you!

    Hey Kristina,
Thank you for the storage tips, it's great to know how to preserve the produce especially when it is so expensive. The plastic bag method for the greens sounds like a great idea as well as rotating the food.
Thank you sooo much for all of your knowledge and I look forward to the ebook.

Thank you for the tips! I live in Scotland and sometimes I use my window as a cold storage spot, it works great. :D Also, for banana storage, sometimes I put some by the window and some in the kitchen, because of the difference in temperatures they ripen at a different rate which can come in handy, especially if you you feel like you're always running out of ripened bananas (I know I feel like that all the time).

Seeing the herbs in jars of water reminded me of this tip: I love green onions and just learned that you can regrow them multiple times! I just put the green onions standing in a small glass or jar, cover the roots with water, and put in a sunny spot. Now I always have some on hand. I am wondering if I can do this with anything else.
