    Thanks so much. For over two years I've suffered severe pain in both thumbs that puzzled doctors. They wanted to operate on my hands. I found this video and did the towel exercise. Apparently it "popped" my first rib back into place and relieved pressure off the nerve because the pain disappeared right then and there. Took care of the problem completely. I owe you.

    This would explain why I have chronic shoulder pain. I've been having physio for over 2 years and recently found it was carpel tunnel from packing medical products for over 18 years.....
    Have not slept through in years..
    This clip was very good and explained everything that I'm going through.... My own Dr hasn't even mentioned any of this you have and you hit the nail of the head with my symptoms. Thank you so much I will do your exercises as I don't want another operation, I feel like the bionic woman and collector of scars :/

    I just wanted to thank you. I've (self diagnosed, though i've spoken with my father who is an MD) recently developed carpal tunnel. The only real relief i found before was rubbing where the nerve runs through my arm. I experience it most drastically in the morning when i wake up, I had no idea it could be coming from sleeping on my shoulders but it makes a lot of sense. These stretches seem to be helping, thank you again :)

    I have had minor carpal tunnel issues for about 20 years (I have hypothyroid and all my doctors ever say are that it is a common complaint). I don't have pain but a lot of numbness, especially when gripping anything (which makes Everything difficult - writing, cooking, driving, brushing my daughters' hair... the list is endless), and sleeping.
    However, this video was an Eye-opener for me, and I thank you! You taught me something that no doctor has told me in all the years I have been complaining, that the carpal tunnel nerve goes all the way up the arm and into the neck. I have had random pains in the "underside" of my upper arm, exactly where you pointed, for years and no one could explain it (I even wondered if I had heart problems but everything checked out fine).
    But the key for me that caused the lightbulb moment, I also have pain in the neck exactly where you described in the last exercise, and I Always sleep on my right side! I could hug you right now. I will be doing this exercises every day, and will seek a PT or chiropractor again with this new knowledge if I need more help. Thank you again!

    If you are over the age of 60 and you have carpal tunnel symptoms and you have not started anything new (hobbies, exercises, work) that you think is the cause, please see your doctor and look into a disease called amyloidosis. Carpal tunnel can be an early symptom and it's a very serious disease. My father had carpal tunnel for months and they missed the amyloidosis until he started to have heart arrhythmia problems.

    • @VioletIsBulletproof
      @VioletIsBulletproof 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +MsDarcyfan I think you should be careful how you ask this question. I recently got tested by my docter (i actually just straight up told her i have carpal tunnel-im an artist (and had been drawing extensively recently) so i wasnt surprised to get it-...anyways...my doc told me to relief my arm by wearing a brace at night. Let's just say, my doctor is no lnoger my doctor anymore. I got rid of her. She fucked up my whole arm with that brace. I would highly recommend you get the brace to match you or else it will damage your arm even more! After wearing the brace, my light carpal tunnel turned into a nightmarish no sleep for 4 days pain killing me week. Needless to say, be careful of braces, if they dont fit your right, they will make it way worse.

    I have had pain in my wrists for years. I used to drum in guitar hero/rock band years ago until I started having pain. I stopped but had no insurance to get it looked at. Recently ive gotten insurance and ive gone to various doctors but no one knows what it is.First I was told it was tendinitis. I was giving braces and told to rest. 3 months later I went back and was told it was gone but my pain continued. I was referred to a Rheumatologist. They did blood work to check for arthritis

    I like the first rib mobilization. But nerves should never be "stretched"...a "glide" is more appropriate and less damaging on the nerve.
