A few weeks ago I started feeling this pain in my wrist which sounded like carpal tunnel syndrome. It started after several weeks and many continuous hours hunched over my sewing machine working on multiple gowns and suits for my daughter’s wedding. After watching this video about the median nerve starting at the neck, this now makes sense that my problem is most likely at the neck. When I sew I have to use both hands/arms forward to feed the fabric into the machine and my head down and forward. It’s very different when I work on my computer where I can have the screen up at my eye height so my head/neck is straight. No other video suggested the problem could be at the neck, thanks for a great educational video - just love your work. I’m going to undertake your 3 step program, wish me luck.

Interesting comments about using a splint at night. I recently had and emg/ncs and there isn’t nerve involvement. No surgery, no PT. The neuromuscular neurologist said he finds people can often improve by just wearing the splint!

These are really great exercises. I went to a hand doctor & they had me bend my wrists w/hands together which gave me these finger sensations, however, my elbows were bent. So this gave false readings (they didn't understand). I get issues in the winter with my fingers when my elbows are bent. So I love these exercises you showed because the elbows are not bent. This is what I needed all along. I do so much with my hands (typing, knitting, piano, brushing my dog's long hair & getting snarls out, gardening) and they really need this stretching relief. You two are the first therapists that have gotten this right with what to do. I wish I had found you 10-20 years ago when I was all cramped up from so much typing work. Pulling out files at work, especially very thick & heavy ones, really hurt my thumb & overextended it. I'm still trying to heal it.

I had CT surgery. Totally wrong surgery. Made a clicking thumb the least of my worries. My left hand, wrist, and up to elbow feel like I'm having a heart attack 24/7. Lost all muscle strength, loss of feeling (heat, cold, pressure, injuries...), and my hand is shrinking to skin on bone. Surgeon refused to see me after PT said I have permanent nerve damage from the surgery. Moral: See your attorney BEFORE any surgery.

Don’t ever get surgery if you don’t have to. I saw an ortho today due to pain in my thumb, index finger, and middle finger and he immediately said its CTS. I think the nerve pain is radiating from my neck but the dr didn’t hear me out and I am knowledgeable (a LPTA here) and he said oh we can do surgery and it will be an easy fix. He came to this conclusion after a 2 min assessment. I refuse surgery when I’m not completely sure if the problem is originating in my wrist. People please do your research. So many drs love to cut on ppl immediately. As a therapist, I’m surprised he didn’t recommend PT first. Always get a second opinion. Also noted... I’ve only been symptomatic with intermittent pain and swelling for 2 WEEKS!

Just watched several other videos on CT which never stressed the fact you are treating the nerve and not the muscle. Brad and Bob are the real MVP’s👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I didn’t have to make an appt., pay a $40 co-pay after burning $30 in gas, fill out twenty-two pages of unnecessary paperwork, wait three hours in an overcrowded waiting room, then relocated to a freezing chartreuse green 2x2 cubical and forced to put on a gown (backwards), wait another hour freezing in the buff so I can be probed, prodded, and ELECTROCUTED, by their painful “carpal-tunnel detector”.
After all this, my parting gift was a $478 wrist-brace that I could have purchased at Sam Waltons Gates of Hell
for $20. And not one utterance of any available carpel-tunnel exercises.
    BOB....🏆... BRAD....🏆 Thanx

Had to sub and like and screenshot this vid because I was experiencing this pain in my forearm at night for the past few days and came across this vid after hearing about how carpal tunnel was a meme about gamers. I tried their stretches they recommended (without doing the nerve stretch) and this literally made the pain go away in like seconds no lie. I thought I was having like a heart attack or something because of the arm pain but as it turns out this is definitely carpal tunnel. Thank you both for this. It’s 2AM at the time of writing this and it’s really relieving to get some real help from someone other than Google telling me a bunch of different things. 👌💖💖

I have to thank you for your videos on cervical nerve issues and carpel tunnel syndrome. At 61 years old I went to a Chiropractor for the first time 8 weeks ago for some mild lower back pain. He adjusted my back but whet he got up to the C7 and above area I now have pain and numbness in my right hand and before finding your videos the arm and arm/hand pain was literally unbearable. Here in Las Vegas NV we are very limited on quality specialized medical care. So after finding and doing your videos and doing the stretches and flossing for the last 3 weeks, the daytime pain is gone. My only concern is the numbness in 1/2 of my ring finger and middle finger has not gone away and my hand strength is starting to diminish. Not sure where to go from here except for nerve shots.. But long story short Thank You for getting me as far as you have.

I love your videos. I haven't found anything out there that even compares. You both do a great job of explaining the issues and the process of doing different stretches from beginning to more advanced. You even include nuanced specifics that can help explain things to those that have specific issues. I completely trust your information and I even found your messager on Amazon and it made my decision on purchasing one super easy. I'm very grateful for both of you! Great information!

Thank you both. This was so helpful. I've had all sorts of physiotherapy and consultant intervention and your advice made more sense than all of them put together. I've been in so much pain for months now and haven't got close to sleeping for about 5 nights in a row due to the pain; what you said made complete sense, I'd never seen those exercises before and I could feel the muscles releasing slightly in the few movements as I followed along with you. Your advice alongside carpal tunnel kinesiology taping has this morning made a massive difference to the constant torture of the pain I'm in. Thank you so so much from across the pond in the UK.

like your stuff guys on carpal tunnel. I also use a soft ball and squeeze the ball singly with 1 finger and work across squeezing continually and then squeeze with all fingers, Individually each finger squeeze is held for 5sec with a rest in between. All finger squeeze is same time. Reps: whatever your limitations are.

Thanks so much for sharing. I have a lot of pain from years of CTS and only use chiropractors but they did not start with the neck and upper arm, but with the wrist moving up to the neck. What you are saying makes more sense. Just this morning I starter having pain in the bend of my elbow which won't give in even with ibuprofen. I'm going to start using your exercises with care and trust that they will lessen the pain.
