... I love the Hi Power, it was the first handgun that I bought. I've always heard that an easy way to piss off a 1911 fan is to tell them that the P-35 Hi-Power was created by John Browning to fix the flaws that was built into a 1911. And you need to understand that you don't hear or feel a tactile reset of the trigger is because it was made way before people cared about that stuff. I have a Gersan MC p35, it feels and runs just like the original models - only much less expensive ...
I have both an FN and a Girsan MC P-35 and they are pretty much identical down to the crappy mag disconnect. All the parts interchange between a MK-3 and a Girsan. Pretty much if you have a Series 70 Colt 1911 and a Series 70 Springfield thats the amount of difference.
I had a original Browning Hi Power back in the 1990s and it was a great gun. Mine was two tone black and silver with an awesome grip. It was extremely well made. I regret the need to give it up. But SSDI is low income and sometimes you have no choice.
Great video. I have one in .40 cal. I added a piece of talon grips granulated paper on the front strap. Completely transformed the pistol for me. Cost? A couple dollars.
