Bad Traveling, The Secret War & Pop Squad had potential to be great shows. Alberto Mielgo is one of the most unique voices in modern animation but much of his current work has only been shorts. Beyond the Aquila Rift is proof that Alistair Reynolds' books would make great television if done right.

Honestly, this might've been easier than you think. All they had to pitch it as was "hey, think of this as a freebie pilot to test the waters of your IP in episodic format with you bearing hardly any risk for it." I know the quality will likely be much higher than a pilot would ever be and it'll probably be a short vignette like story for each game, but that's basically what it accomplishes for these games, most of which would never have anything like this ever.

We need to do this well so one of two things happen. 1. Second anthology season with more games 2. The episodes from season 1 act as pilots for standalone series
2. Is unlikely, but 1 is definitely something that needs to happen I want to see a Destiny episode as it has yet to break the media barrier. It seems Sony has a great deal of interest in the series and is working quite closely with Prime in this case as we see multiple games being aired with Sony specific games, along with the fact that I haven’t seen any Microsoft specific games. I wouldn’t be opposed to a Halo episode. (There is also the fact that it seems that they will only use games that haven’t broken into other forms of media as of yet, unlike Cyberpunk, Halo, and Mario.)

This is one of the best ideas for adult animated anthology series ever. Even games and franchises that aren't as big as warhammer or dnd and that normally wouldn't get full shows have a chance to show their worlds.

Love death and robots was inconsistent at times. But when they hit, they hit hard.

This is such a smart corpo move. Not only did you put together something for everyone. You also basically have a bunch of test footage on your hands that you can gauge how the audience will react to so you know what projects to invest in the future.

I want to see a Destiny episode as it has yet to break the media barrier. It seems Sony has a great deal of interest in the series and is working quite closely with Prime in this case as we see multiple games being aired with Sony specific games, along with the fact that I haven’t seen any Microsoft specific games. I wouldn’t be opposed to a Halo episode.
(There is also the fact that it seems that they will only use games that haven’t broken into other forms of media as of yet, unlike Cyberpunk, Halo, and Mario.)
