To be fair, Concord's animation was like... the only thing anyone ever said anything great about.
And Concord just shut down today, offering its buyers refunds. So Secret Level will already be something of a museum piece even before it comes out!
Megaman is already done, but at least it used to be a popular series. The only Concorde anyone might be nostalgic for was an airplane.
This is the smartest way to secretly pilot shows I've ever seen.

It is not, they are called anthologies, never ever they develop into a full series
I wish. The only one in this anthology that's already getting a series is Warhammer and that's because it was already a thing between Games Workshop and Amazon prior to this. For the others? Hard to say. Even Amazon's God of War remains elusive.
None of the cool shorts in L,D+R got expanded or picked up into a series, sadly.
Bad Traveling, The Secret War & Pop Squad had potential to be great shows. Alberto Mielgo is one of the most unique voices in modern animation but much of his current work has only been shorts. Beyond the Aquila Rift is proof that Alistair Reynolds' books would make great television if done right.

The legal battles to make this happen must have been a season worth of content on their own.

Honestly, this might've been easier than you think. All they had to pitch it as was "hey, think of this as a freebie pilot to test the waters of your IP in episodic format with you bearing hardly any risk for it."
I know the quality will likely be much higher than a pilot would ever be and it'll probably be a short vignette like story for each game, but that's basically what it accomplishes for these games, most of which would never have anything like this ever.

Armored Core also strikes me as odd. The game is super niche, selling at 3 million copy only, when the same studio made Elden Ring that sold 25 million copy and is visually a million times more interesting. Really don't understand why they went for the mecha stuff...

Guessing this either takes place after or during Space marine 2 seeing as how he's an ultramarine again. No doubt when the game comes out we may have a teaser as to when this episode will occur.

@ThePigeon5734 if you look closely at the beginning, you see that this model wears the same right pauldron as Titus and he wears the exact chain around his right arm. Titus Character design is the only ultramarine model that looks like that.

Notice the right arm pauldron looks the same as the one he has in Space Marine 2, along with the Aquilla on his chest, the Ultramarine symbol on the back of his power pack, the same gold trim pattern on his pauldrons, and the loin cloth he wears. But the dead giveaway that it’s him is the Inquisition chain that’s wrapped around his right wrist.

Love death and robots was inconsistent at times. But when they hit, they hit hard.

This is one of the best ideas for adult animated anthology series ever. Even games and franchises that aren't as big as warhammer or dnd and that normally wouldn't get full shows have a chance to show their worlds.

I went frame by frame, I didn't see Unreal Tournament, closest thing was Warhammer, or did I miss something. You can pause and use command and period ,. to go forward or back a frame on a desktop browser.

It's actually going to be Playstation IP's in general, not God of War in specific since Kratos in the trailer is in the modern world and the credits specify only Playstation as a whole

@@damianpietrzak4203 Don't know exactly, but a similar crossover happened before with Kratos and other Playstation IP's called Playstation Allstars (smash bros type game but instead with PlayStation characters), and in Ragnarok there was an easter egg that actually confirmed it to be canon. So this might be canon as well, but until PlayStation itself specifies it, it's up to your imagination.

This is such a smart corpo move. Not only did you put together something for everyone. You also basically have a bunch of test footage on your hands that you can gauge how the audience will react to so you know what projects to invest in the future.
It does baffle me how all these IP's around. That Sony and co aren't just making monthly CGI films just as a sandbox for ideas and keep(or generating) interest.
We are literally getting Spelunky and Crossfire in the same show as Warhammer, Sifu and Armored Core, with also Mega Man, Kratos, Pac-Man, Jin Sakai and Tiamat in it too. This is going to be the greatest fever dream in history and I'm all for it

@@emanuelrobri8452 Considering the same studio made the halo wars and halo 2 anniversary cutscenes, I would take that in a heart beat. Hell I wish blur woulda been contracted for the halo series instead of paramount.
We need to do this well so one of two things happen.
1. Second anthology season with more games
2. The episodes from season 1 act as pilots for standalone series
2. Is unlikely, but 1 is definitely something that needs to happen
I want to see a Destiny episode as it has yet to break the media barrier. It seems Sony has a great deal of interest in the series and is working quite closely with Prime in this case as we see multiple games being aired with Sony specific games, along with the fact that I haven’t seen any Microsoft specific games. I wouldn’t be opposed to a Halo episode.
(There is also the fact that it seems that they will only use games that haven’t broken into other forms of media as of yet, unlike Cyberpunk, Halo, and Mario.)
