Concord was a good game that had a potentially good story that we never got to see. This is their one chance to show everyone what they missed out on story wise. The devs were passionate about the story progression
I was a diehard Megaman fan in my youth. now I struggle playing the games, epically the newer ones, because my hands are riddled with arthritis and carpal tunnel. Its hard to work the controller as fast as I was once able to. I hope Elon's Neural link gives me one last Adventure before I die on my deathbed.
Long overdue they did something on tv (hopefully on big screen too) for Megaman. I'm surprised they didn't do it when Megaman was in his prime as a videogame.

I am 45 years old. I've been a warhammer 40k fan since I was 12. I played during my teen years, follow and ate up all the lore to the point I was Lore savvy (I cannot call myself lore master I'm not worthy of that) and played the first games as they came out as during my deployments. I personally own more than 3000 euros in books and miniatures of 40k. I saw Dawn of war 1, felt all the courage and sadness of Dawn of war 2, played Space Hulk, got the new Space Hulk Deathwing and went back in, played Space Marine 1 and become a staunch Titus supporter. I went there and back again, and as a grown man, I wept. Not of sorrow, not of sadness, but of joy. The persons involved in this project, and we know your name Syama, and we honor it so much brother, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Imagine if the episode is so good that a bunch of people start thinking they should have given Concord more of a chance, and it's too late by then. Not saying it will happen, but it'd be pretty funny.

Impossible task given there will be too many characters and it's clearly not designed to be an introduction to the setting even in the idea that there's a narrative intention to have the universe exist beyond the characters.
If the devs actually bothered to make a single player (guardians of the galaxy esque) or even a co-op campaign or PvE using its characters (even with the awful designs) in that world. Then maybe they could have justified that £40 price tag for a meh hero shooter in an industry where’s there’s better ones for free. Just maybe they could have got more sales and stayed afloat for at least another week lol
Just started watching Secret Level today, only 8 episodes so far. I am 5 episodes in and each episode so far has been hella amazing & EPIC! Not a single boring moment! It's basically the same like Love Death and Robots, just with videogames. It's r-rated so you can expect some brutal kills. Give this a watch it's def worth the time, for me 1 of the best shows this year.
Also loving this series so far, watched to episode 6 - so epic with all the different art styles, and like you say not a dull moment! The Warhammer 40k vid was the best for me so far, but I am a big fan they really REALLY nailed how chaos daemons work! :D
The negotiations between Games Workshop and Amazon on creative guidelines with regard to the planned 40K projects are ongoing. The initial deadline is the New Year. All sorts of rumours are swirling around, but none of them have any credibility. We will just have to wait and see if the entertainment gods will favour us or not.
I just recently found that there's a WH40 anthology series called "Hammer and Bolter"! The animation quality is iffy, but there are some reeaally good episodes.
Same, and the scene with the laser sword in the trailer looks sick, I was hoping for the "Arena" style of AC Master of Arena and AC Nine Breaker but honestly I'll take any Armored Core content!

Remember animation takes a long time and this Concord episode was likely made and finished months if not a little over a year before the game even came out. And they're not gonna just *not* include an episode in the series. Not sure they even can legally.

@@ericpilzner9997 I guess so, because I played the hell out of '99 and 2004 and felt like the episode only felt half like it. They could have used real levels instead of that single arena maybe, and quake and UT were known for their gory violence with people exploding into "gibs", but the episode felt PG-13 in a bad way
@@Elecat1996 they did kind of base the arenas on classic maps, one resembled DM_facing worlds, and another was loosely similar to CTF_high. They did take quite a bit of creative liberties, and used newer version models of weapons instead of basing them on the classic UT99 weapons, but it was still a very fun watch. Especially the classic announcements "CONGRATULATIONS. YOU'RE THE WINNER" "DOUBLE KILL" and so on.
It's akin to the idea of CG trailers for marketing, but expanded to the length of episodes. "Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings" is technically like that as it acts as a prologue to the game in the form of a short animated episode.

Dude I played the 2003 and 2004 version online, it was so much fun. All those custom maps and even a spinoff was made (TacticaOps) which IMO was better than CS could ever be. I guess CS became more popular because it was based off of Half-Life (like Gmod is). UT was amazing and they'd've been massive today if it wasn't for the late 2000 blunders (they were decent but they did blow it) Also the story behind was very cool for its time but sadly not expanded much upon. Their competitions were games like Quake and Doom (and said Half-Life). Nah man, UT will go into legend. Their Unreal engine is still going strong though. And I remember when "everyone" used Crysis as a benchmark and before and after that mainly Unreal Engine games.

It's a beautiful concept with limitless potential given all of the video game lore put there. I'm super stoked to see what they do in season 2, although I don't think we'll get anything Nintendo inspired given the rating, but I can hope for a dark Metroid or Majora's Mask episode. Banjo-Kazooie or Conker could be a lotta fun!

As a long time fan of Armored Core can't wait to see if we will see any references. I remember being amazed how crazy 00-Aretha or Joshua AC was when he would basically telelport in Ac4 as thr final boss and he came out in AC:For Answer. I would want to see some styles from AC6 as well. Wish they would make a anime about this much like Gundam but the fan base or popularity wouldn't be enough to start a project.
You put that M83 "Outro" track behind any animation and it makes it all instantly EPIC! Though as a LD+R fan who has worked on video games, this does look amazing!

That’s what I’m saying. LDR was hands-down some of the best animation I’ve ever seen. I want this show to do well enough that we see a WAVE of new, high-quality animated (or live-action) game adaptations. There are some GORGEOUS stories that so many people haven’t experienced because they just don’t like games or don’t have the time to play them.
With Tim Miller being at the helm, it will be a treat, and thankful to experience what him and his team at Blur Studios always brings. I wish the US was more accepting of "adult" animation like other parts of the world because we could have so many great films made with CGI, but we have to play them as video games to experience them (which isn't a bad thing), but playing a 40 hour game, while cool once, it'd be nice to pop in a 2 hour film with the same style.

I'm a sucker for animation, Love, Death & Robots was incredible. The last seasons kinda disappointed a little, but we still got episodes like "Bad Travelling", incredible short masterpieces. Really hyped for this one! Specially as a gamer.

Halo would be great but I think halo devs are reconsidering their view since they kind of fell off. Halo has a great lore but has also above and beyond story telling that has been lost over time. The TV show was a travesty and Halo Infinite was good and fun to play as a standalone.. The story didn't lead anywhere and the gap between halo 5 and Infinite is just a black hole and they explained it but still feels like a big nothing.. cortana just isn't there anymore and uhh yea.. uhh what? (kind of an important character you know)

They could have used real levels instead of that single arena maybe, and quake and UT were known for their gory violence with people exploding into "gibs", but the episode felt PG-13 in a bad way
@@Elecat1996 they did kind of base the arenas on classic maps, one resembled DM_facing worlds, and another was loosely similar to CTF_high. They did take quite a bit of creative liberties, and used newer version models of weapons instead of basing them on the classic UT99 weapons, but it was still a very fun watch. Especially the classic announcements "CONGRATULATIONS. YOU'RE THE WINNER" "DOUBLE KILL" and so on.

Dude I played the 2003 and 2004 version online, it was so much fun. All those custom maps and even a spinoff was made (TacticaOps) which IMO was better than CS could ever be. I guess CS became more popular because it was based off of Half-Life (like Gmod is).
UT was amazing and they'd've been massive today if it wasn't for the late 2000 blunders (they were decent but they did blow it)
Also the story behind was very cool for its time but sadly not expanded much upon.
Their competitions were games like Quake and Doom (and said Half-Life).

Their Unreal engine is still going strong though. And I remember when "everyone" used Crysis as a benchmark and before and after that mainly Unreal Engine games.

It's a beautiful concept with limitless potential given all of the video game lore put there. I'm super stoked to see what they do in season 2, although I don't think we'll get anything Nintendo inspired given the rating, but I can hope for a dark Metroid or Majora's Mask episode. Banjo-Kazooie or Conker could be a lotta fun!

As a long time fan of Armored Core can't wait to see if we will see any references. I remember being amazed how crazy 00-Aretha or Joshua AC was when he would basically telelport in Ac4 as thr final boss and he came out in AC:For Answer. I would want to see some styles from AC6 as well. Wish they would make a anime about this much like Gundam but the fan base or popularity wouldn't be enough to start a project.

That’s what I’m saying. LDR was hands-down some of the best animation I’ve ever seen. I want this show to do well enough that we see a WAVE of new, high-quality animated (or live-action) game adaptations. There are some GORGEOUS stories that so many people haven’t experienced because they just don’t like games or don’t have the time to play them.
With Tim Miller being at the helm, it will be a treat, and thankful to experience what him and his team at Blur Studios always brings. I wish the US was more accepting of "adult" animation like other parts of the world because we could have so many great films made with CGI, but we have to play them as video games to experience them (which isn't a bad thing), but playing a 40 hour game, while cool once, it'd be nice to pop in a 2 hour film with the same style.

Halo would be great but I think halo devs are reconsidering their view since they kind of fell off. Halo has a great lore but has also above and beyond story telling that has been lost over time. The TV show was a travesty and Halo Infinite was good and fun to play as a standalone.. The story didn't lead anywhere and the gap between halo 5 and Infinite is just a black hole and they explained it but still feels like a big nothing.. cortana just isn't there anymore and uhh yea.. uhh what? (kind of an important character you know)

While I do agree with you, some actors are actually very good at voice acting. Keanu Reeves, Idriss Elba and Gerard Butler are nice examples

Why is everyone so desperate to be negative? We get a banger of a trailer with some amazing looking stuff and everyone is laser focused on the one episode of Cocord. It's dead, you don't need to dance on It's grave anymore.

Just watched them all on prime...holy sht each one needs a movie. The D&D one was awesome, the xan tournament, the warhammer one and the armored core was absolutely amazing. We need full blown movies or series out of these.

I think this is a beautiful way to celebrate video games, the final part of the trailer gave me goosebumps, I haven't played many of these games but I think these stories are made from the heart and passion and represent everything we love about video games.
