Thank you!! Practice makes perfect but this guide makes it so much easier to do a good job.

What a great presentation on how to clean your equipment, I have been watching a lot of You Tube videos on the Fuji Sprayers and getting ready to pull the trigger on getting one. My question is will the Semi Pro 2 handle an waterborne acrylic enamel paint with out having to thin it very much.

Help. I have two small rubber gaskets that were not mentioned in your video. One is slightly bigger than the other. I reassembled everything and these two are left over. Where the heck did they go?

I was spraying with a very similar design gun 60 years ago although it was a high pressured system. And I can assure you the extent that you have striped your gun down is totally unnecessary on a regular basis and only necessary if you are not using the gun for a period of time, I’m talking days. It’s absolute overkill, just remove and clean the needle, smear with Vaseline (petroleum jelly) on the area that passes through the gland as you don’t want that to dry out and any threaded parts that have been exposed plus moving parts, there is no need to soak the parts. Yes if you have inverted your gun and paint has entered the clear tube then that will need attention. Other than that just flush the gun through several times with clean solvent or other compatible medium to the product being used and make sure there is no build up of paint around the holes in the spray cap, a quick wipe around with a cloth is all that is generally needed. In my 20 years as a car sprayer I never ever did a strip down like you have demonstrated as a matter of routine when in regular use.

Thank you. I was about to point out that I never had to do all of that since I bought my sprayer. The video had me thinking I had screwed up the cleanup process.

Thank you so much for this! Just got a Fuji Semi-Pro 2. Does this tutorial work for any Fuji gun?

Hi Drew, great video. Why a dry lube? What dry lube do you recommend. Thanks

I use a dry lube because I don’t want liquid to mix with anything in my finish by accident. Boeshield T9 or evening WD40 makes a good dry lube.

As a pilot, I love the “checklist” nature of this video. Just got a fuji Q4 and will do a couple of “dry runs” on cleaning before first use with this running in the background. thanks for putting this together.

Thanks for the complete instuctions. Really liked how you presented the disassembly and reassembly. What kind of dry lubricant do you recommend so the needle remains fluidly moveable.
