    The last bit was very useful 😂 I bout one for work and I set up the multi action to open all my programs. Also use it for file structuring. Saves soooooo much time

    If you want to take it to the next level when you hit that button to start your work day, have it also start a timer for you.

    Would be great if I could choose one of the individual actions to use as the button display instead of being forced to use the generic multi action icon with some static text. Maybe give the option to overlay a multi action icon in a corner if the button is a multi action, but is displaying one of the individual action states.

      Hi WhoopJack, This is a great idea. We'll forward it to the Stream Deck team. Make sure to also check out the custom icon sets available in the Stream Deck store to create a recognizable icon in the meantime though.

    i bought the plus for the purpose of streamign but this may be better as just a work productivity tool

    • @ElgatoWorkshop
      @ElgatoWorkshop  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That was the purpose when we launched the product line 6 years ago! It's gone through quite an evolution and is a powerful tool for so many more uses now. If you have ideas for ways to improve it in those other areas, feel free to give us feedback!

    Dear Elgato, Why multi action key start when button released only? this is ridiculous. I want to fastest button response but it feels very slowly because it always works when button released only.

    How do you organize the windows in the screen or choose a monitor to snap them to? Is there a plugin that helps with that?

      Hi Oscar, the Windows Mover & Resizer plugin from BarRaider is exactly what you'll need for this: marketplace.elgato.com/product/windows-mover-resizer-5fa50346-eff5-4c75-b5e6-a8e377d694dc

    How do I set the multi action toggle to change icons without any extra input? I'm trying to set a command that uses a power with a 10-second recharge, but I want the Icon on the button to change back to the initial one after the 10 seconds elapses on its own.

    Can the Stream Deck control two PCs at the same time? I use a dual-PC setup for gaming and streaming. One PC is my streaming rig and the other is my gaming rig.

    • @ElgatoWorkshop
      @ElgatoWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi there,
      A Stream Deck can only be connected to one PC at a time. However there are some plugins which let you send commands to remote systems.
      Such as Streaming Remote: apps.elgato.com/plugins/com.fredemmott.streamingremote
      OBS tools for controlling OBS on another computer through Websocket: apps.elgato.com/plugins/com.barraider.obstools
      Of course this depends on which machine your Stream Deck is connected to and which machine is remote.

    • @idmooseman
      @idmooseman ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ElgatoWorkshop Thank you. Maybe I am overthinking this and only need the Stream Deck connected to the PC with OBS installed?

    • @ElgatoWorkshop
      @ElgatoWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@idmooseman Maybe.
      If you don't have much to control on your gaming PC, you could keep the Stream Deck connected to your Streaming PC and use it directly with OBS Studio.

      Hi Captain, head into Stream Deck Preferences, then the Style tab. Uncheck "Show progress overlay".

    are there any ways of using custom plugins from the store in multiactions? I cant seem to find them once I enter the multiactions menu

    • @ElgatoWorkshop
      @ElgatoWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The developers of the plugin would need to enable Multi Action use when they create the plugin.

    Can more than 1 StreamDeck be connected at a time to one pc?

      Yes

      Yep! Multiple Stream Decks can be connected to one PC. And each one can even change the profile of the other Stream Deck.

      Hi Joe,
      You can expand the features of Stream Deck by downloading new plugins through Marketplace. marketplace.elgato.com/stream-deck/plugins

    Is it possible to get stream deck to move to a program and THEN do the action.
    Like "switch to zoom and mute micro phone"?

    • @ElgatoWorkshop
      @ElgatoWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! This is what Multi Actions are perfect for. There are plugins you can install that can bring a program like Zoom to the foreground and plugins that can control Zoom, including toggling microphone mute and much more. We urge you to explore the Stream Deck store to find the plugins and actions you'll need.

      @@ElgatoWorkshop Thank you for your answer. I specifically need to bring PowerPoint to front and then perform a shortcut. I have not been able to find anything that does that. Do you know some "secret" trick for that?

  • @HikingWithCooper
    @HikingWithCooper ปีที่แล้ว

    It should be noted, as it's something I haven't heard anybody point out, that there are costs to almost anything downloaded for the Stream Deck. Screen saver? $5.00. Program icon pack? $5.00-$15.00. Buying the icons you need could very well double the cost of the deck. I would have gone with a different product if this had been disclosed. It's pretty absurd that Elgato doesn't have a robust set of icons to go along with their product. Instead it's nickel and dime to death.

    • @ElgatoWorkshop
      @ElgatoWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Cooper,
      There is a huge selection of free icon packs on Marketplace, you can filter by free packs only if you wish: marketplace.elgato.com/stream-deck/icons?free=true
      Prices are set by the maker of the product, not by Elgato and there are free options for every category.
      We put up some more information about this topic today: marketplace.elgato.com/learn/announcements/stream-deck-marketplace-questions-answered

    Too many of these videos show us what your product does but nothing on how to actually set them up (except maybe the very basic function), how about some in depth videos that show a user how to actually set up some of the more complex functions these videos reference.
