Stream Deck, Stream Deck XL, and Stream Deck+. Other than scene switching in OBS, I use them for: Discord Channel surfing, Twitch channel surfing, audio control (Stream Deck+ and Wave Link), keeping track of different time zones, and buttons that enter text into chat with links that support my friends. I use those features almost every day. I produce shows in multiple time zones, so having something where I can see time zones next to each other is amazing. Thanks for the video.

Streamdeck mini, I love that little thing so much! I don't have to grab my mouse anymore while DJ'ing :o The most used button for me is the one that shows the artwork of my originals in VR with a single press. I feel bad for not picking up a streamdeck sooner!

I have 2 StreamDecks, one for each streaming setup.
Changing scenes is something that I do the least often, almost never. I use the buttons for enabling and disabling audio sources, hiding and showing and switching cameras, on screen graphics, incrementing counters, starting and stopping and switching timers, and some mod actions like Followers Only mode and starting a raid if I have a predetermined target.
Most common use is to mute/unmute my mic.

A good thing to note, is that many Stream Deck plugins run as an application on the background (you can find them from task manager etc.). So having many installed might affect the computers performance.

    2. Plugin showing who's live so I can just use that to raid into them
    3. CPU usage
    4. One page showing different time zones and weather
    5. Magic 8ball to show on stream as a channel point redemption
Never realized the speediest plugin before this. Thanks so much! Having that running every few minutes is awesome.

My best friend loves streaming since I set up all her hotkeys on the stream deck. They manage her Vtuber model, her scenes, hue lights, discord user volume, etc.
I even made a very lengthy macro that sets up her OBS, Vtube studio, and all the other stuff she needs for streaming. Resizes the windows too to make the best use of space on her screen.

I have the 32 button streamdeck. In my effort to up my streaming game, I've got a full 8 page set up for pages, scenes, sounds, animations, poses, cameras, and facial expressions for my Vtubing models. I come from a tech theatre background, so I've been spending my time recently converting that workflow for myself via streaming, and the utility of the streamdeck.

I use mine for helping me with coding, with repeating actions, swapping between IDEs and projects. When streaming, I use my stream deck for sound effects, scenes, widgets, minigames, autoban bots, speed test, for moderating other channels, recording a specific source, screenshoting everything or a specific source, having a preview on what friendly channels are live, and a lot more (including my own Stream Deck plugins). And, most importantly, because I'm legally deaf, I use it for adjusting my audio for my end alone.

  • @JustinPlaysTV

Please make sure you do not take down a load-bearing wall. It could be catastrophic. As for the Streamdeck, I love the Teams plugin - so useful during meetings because I’m always multitasking and don’t want to find the bloody teams window to mute/unmute and do other useful stuff.

Hello @Senpai, thank you for this video! I just had a quick question re: the smart plugs and being able to turn on ANYTHING with the stream deck; I have used both Hue and Govee to plug my TV, soundbar, and PS3 into and then control it with my stream deck, but for some reason, Hue wouldn't work quite right and it was confusing to understand, and Govee wouldn't work with my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from the Govee Home app; so I didn't even get a chance to use either plugin on the stream deck to try and control them; do they even need to be connected via Wi-Fi/Bluetooth in order to control them from the stream deck, or no?

I got the SD 15 and SD XL, which I just bought last week.
The 15 is connected to my StreamPC, and basically will be used for starting/stopping streams, switching scenes, and also tweaking audio if needed.
The XL is hooked up to my GamerPC. The top row is basically locked to certain pages. Like page 8 is for Programs. I have a set of basic programs that I want to make sure I run while gaming. I use the Advanced Launcher plugin for this, where I show a dot if the program is running. I can quickly go to that page to make sure everything is running that I need at a quick glance of the icons.
Other pages I use for launching games, going to specific (favorited) websites. And since I have multiple monitors, I use the plugin Windows Mover to either move active window to another monitor.
But let's say I want to switch a game from my monitor to my TV. A click of a button and it's done. No need to go into like the game settings and say I want it showing on this device.

I think the main use for my StreamDeck is a desktop replacement. Instead of filling it up with a ton of shortcuts I have them organized on my StreamDeck and can open them without going back to the desktop. Honestly still need to do more with it. Did have it set up to Moderate the Play with Viewers Twitch Plug-In whether for me streaming, or modding for friends.

  • @zora_tech

OK so first how do you get a white stream deck plus?
Also I am avoiding using the discord volume mixer because its seems like you need to give it access to your account wich is a huge security flaw. But I am not a developer so I am not 100% sure about this it just seems that way due to the instructions given.
Also I had the original stream deck and now I have the plus as well because of the knobs which give me better control of stuff. Now here something really cool that you kinda did mention but you can use one stream deck to change the profile of the other. For example since my plus has less buttons I have buttons on it to switch profiles on my original stream deck that has more. So I can switch to my OBS profile, sound board, or voicemod on my original stream deck while the plus stay on the main one with all the main things I need.

I don't stream anymore, but thinking of getting into it again. I use my stream deck to open up all my work tabs and control my zoom meetings (starting up my zoom meetings with power points, etc., and lighting). I also use it to control my goxlr when I'm having a zoom meeting or gaming. Finally, I have it to open up everything I use to play Tarkov (flee market info, maps, and the game). With my Mac set up, it's very similar but doesn't control the volume and audio outputs that well. The stream deck + could fix the issues I have had controlling the audio on my Mac Mini.

My most used switches from headphones to speakers, then it would probably be nividia instant replay and my pomodoro timer. I also have discord mute, deafen, push to mute, push to talk, switch to afk room (all that through a plugin and not hotkeys), and a volume mixer, tbh OBS is the last thing I use mine for, looking to change that tho

I do online tutoring using OBS virtual cam so yes half of my buttons are switching scenes to show different material that I have open in photoshop, acrobat, browser, etc. The other half are: one just always shows the current time in Japan (where my students are), open photoshop or other programs, hang up a call, automatically type the greeting I always use before I call them.
I'm excited to explore my stream deck more and get more use out of it (especially the dials which do nothing rn)!

I would hazard a guess that switching scenes is the thing I do the least with my two stream decks. I use it for editing vids on DaVinci Resolve, I have various programs programmed to open at the touch of a button. I open my most used websites with it (30+ of those) and last, but certainly not least, I use it for my GTA V RP stream/gaming with all kinds of emotes and actions that are made so much easier because it's a one-button press (which is huge for RPing and trying to emote on the fly.) Oh, and I also program Excel spreadsheet formulae so once again, just a press of the button and *poof* all done.

I use my stream deck to open websites and programs I use a lot for certain games. Like With Destiny 2 I have a multi action that will open DIM and Destiny Recipes. I also now use it to move items in Destiny as well. I can turn on and off farming mode I can see how full my vault and postmaster are.
I have a multiaction that opens OBS and all the programs I use and move them to the correct location, change the power settings to high performance, and turns on my lights. When I end stream I have it automatically run a 90 sec ad, turn off my lights, then end stream after the ad is done running.
My favorite is a multi action that changes my main display to my 4k tv mounted above my monitors and changes the primary sound to go play though the TV for when I want to sit back and do some couch co-op games with my son. Then I have another multi action to switch everything back to my main display and sound to go through my goxlr.

Use it primarily for my OBS setup and wavelink.
    Did you know:
You can set dial stacks and wave link input actions to change the individual volume of both your monitor mix and stream mix?
3 Actions on one dial *knob
    Monitor Mix - Input
    Stream Mix - Input
    All - Input
and you can switch between the three by pressing in the knob or tapping the screen to mute them on the fly!

When I bought my Stream Deck (v.2), it was on sale and I had the extra money, and it looked like a neat toy to check out. I initially used to open Audacity, Notepad++, and my podcast editing source and working directories. Later I added a couple macro buttons to help with renaming hundreds of files in a directory. Finally, I got around to using it for streaming (I'm a late bloomer, what can I say?). Being able to (yes) switch scenes, but also mute, turn the camera on and off, and have a multi-function to start and stop the stream were awesome. Considering get an XL or a Plus when it's on sale.

Monitor switcher shortcuts to switch between dual and singular monitor setups for different applications, sound switcher shortcuts for changing a variety of audio outputs, Sonos volume, with a Hotkey action (a bit junk but the only way) voice monkey for controlling a load of smart things in my room, mainly lights but automated blinds also and a cooling/heating fan. Media player control, favorite PC folders, browser control and favorite websites, screensaver control, time, stopwatch, counterdowns for keeping my stream/recordings under 1 hour, weather, youtube channel overviews, opening apps, audio visualiser. webcam control (exposure, gamma, saturation etc). volume control, mouse pointer highlight cursor, magnifier, digital mixer, toggle icons on or off and the list goes on. And of course last but not least OBS control.

I have a few multi action buttons setup for different things
    - Launching all my stream related programs at once, with a single button (huge time saver
    - Go live, switch scene and run an ad
I have a button for a spin the wheel channel point redemption I have
    Several scene change buttons
Timers for various time based channel point redemptions
Laugh track and a celebration visual with sound effect
A button that activates a slow zoom plugin in OBS whilst playing very motivational and dramatic music
That's about it - I'd say the use cases for scene changing is more common and thus used more, but I get good use out of all the other stuff as well

I love the Windows mover plugin. So handy when you start up the computer for the first time and you just hit the button and bam, everything you want in its place.

I use my 15 key Stream Deck for audio editing in Audition and video editing in Premiere Pro.
It's also a great soundboard and I'm looking into using it for midi

Scene switching totally. But I do also use it for:
    - Slide switching
    - I created shortcuts for Adobe apps instead of using my keyboard.
    - MS Teams control

I really like these knobs, sorry Elgato I mean the dails. These greate things are out now for a while and I am still waiting for two I think simple but great functionalitys.
    1) I would like to use the dails to rotate through pages of the Streamdeck plus or even other pages.
    2) I would like to define stacks / tables of singel or multi actions. With the dails I would like to rotate up and down (and in a loop) through all the actions in that table. The name of the actual selected action is always shown/rotating in the dieplay above the dail. When I have selected the right (multi)action I want to run that (multi)action by a press of that dail. As an example: Having a stack with different light scenes. Every scene is a multi action, that sets the color and intensity of my lights. (Maybe: Job, TH-cam, Course-Recording, Off). Now I can easily select all my light scenes with just one dail. (I think this functionality is a little bit like opening a folder from a button.)
So please add these two features - that would be so great, @elgato

I mainly use my stream deck to control my gaming. as I have a dedicated room that holds both of my setups. the streaming setup, which consist of two PCs , and my editing set up, which also can be used for light gaming when my nephew is around. I use it as a control panel to switch on and off almost everything in the room, such as my TV, lights, AC, curtains …etc. this is possible mostly because of the “IFTTT” plugin

8:50 slightly confused on how to use the imaginary F keys on it. Since I don’t have an F20 key how do I actually set something in OBS to be “F20”? 🤔

right now I'm using 4 streamdecks for my streams but also my workflow, I use the streamdeck for my in car adjustments while simracing, the streamdeckXL for controlling my stream, I use the streamdeck pedals for controlling some replay action while in game, and the streamdeck+ for audio adjustments on the fly. is has improved my workflow.
I also use them in video editing or my photography it works amazing. thank you for this video! always looking for more ways to use my streamdecks at the full potential

Still rockin' the classic 3x5 Stream Deck model over here. Aside from scene switching, I also set it up with a Launch button that opens up most of the little tools I need when it's go-live time (OBS, Spotify, Mix It Up, Twitch Fishing...), but most of my space on there is dedicated to Voicemod soundboard & voice changer buttons. Never know when you're gonna need a well-timed rimshot or vine boom live on stream 💀

Love the idea of connecting smart plug to my green screen lighting. But, when I use the plugin, it asks for "Bridge" and then says it can't find it. How do I get the smart plug to work with Stream Deck +?
    Best regards!

I have the 15-button Stream Deck, use it for controlling my Key Light, Wave Link sub mixes, Spotfiy and switching my audio sources between my headset and speakers.
Am I doing it right Stream Senpai?
