A favorite childhood memory was coming home from school to freshly baked bread, still warm with butter melting into it, as my snack. My mom always felt using the oven on the really cold days helped the furnace not have to struggle as much to keep the house warm. I try to do the same when we’re in a deep cold snap because my old house is a little drafty. Perhaps if you raise the lantern a bit you’ll be happier with how it fits the spot? It’s always tough for me to envision new items in place in my home so I hate to make the decisions. 😊

I too am obsessed with baby’s breath. It’s just timeless. Just so cozy. I have this lantern in my front entry hallway and at first my hubby and I lived with it a few days and now I love it. Mushrooms would be great with those meatballs too. Yum. I’m also a Midwestern girl. Born and raised in Chicago and I now live in Rockton right on the Illinois and Wisconsin border. It’s an adjustment for this city girl but I DO NOT miss the Chicago traffic. And if I had my way I would have or live in New Buffalo, MI. I love it there!

She told me that is how she rolled her hair in junior high and high school. This brought back sweet memories. As for that lantern…it really is big, or maybe it’s just me. Beautiful decorating! I would get a lantern that is a little smaller, and that tapers at the bottom. This would give a graceful look over your sink. I really love your sink. My grandmother had a sink like that on the farm when I was little. I love that you are mixing old with new. It gives your home a timeless style! Thank you for this relaxing video!

I do love the lighter too but over the sink it does look heavy. It might be too big or just a matter of getting use too. Your place is so cozy and cute
fellow heatless curl girlie over here. Ive been using mine for probably two years now and always have a perfect curl. I recommend the eternal muse curler (I use the jumbo) or silk n love (also the largest curler they have). There's 2 or 3 different size curlers depending on your curl preference. They are sooooo comfortable to sleep in compared to any others I have tried and the silk scrunchies keep from getting the kink at the bottom of the curl. They're a little more money than the amazon curlers but in my opinion well worth the difference. Also for side sleepers like myself I actually take a spare scrunchie and tie the curler back. I also feel it keeps the curler in place better.
I think a smaller lantern would look nice, but I also think using the same light fixture you have in your entryway would look even better and keep the kitchen looking light, clean, airy, and cozy.
Many of us in keto 11:09 community make oven meatballs &egg bites on our prep day. From LS place them on a drying rack over the pan to avoid the puddles if you care. Elizabeth Also, you lift me up to the Lord so many times.

Bread making doesn't really take bravery. Give it a try! If it doesn't work, all you've lost is a bit of flour. It most likely will work and you will decide to keep making your own bread. I was raised in a house, where homemade bread was on the agenda every day and I carried this into my life with my own husband and children. Besides being delicious, it is also cost saving. It doesn't take skill, although it does take a bit of time. Just let the bread rise, while you tackle something else.

I get so jealous in the winter watching all these snowy slow winter videos as I am in Florida. I don't feel like we get that slow down feel. Summer is actually my favorite time of year here because the humidity is low and temps are comfortable enough to be outside and it's our dry season. I do miss snow though.

Yes! I think as you do, the lantern looks a little too much. But at the end of the day you will know what feels comfortable with you. Forgive me but can you tell what the name of your pots and pans are and what is your honest opinion of them. What ever you put together in your lovely home is my style. I also started the new year with a calming and intentional living, which helps put my day in the right direction with happiness and peace. I journal as will every morning stating what I am grateful. Your curler technique turns out great! I don’t think you actually need to straighten the ends. I think it would look good without doing that. Love your video. 🙂
I really like plants, real and some of my faux ones that look cute. I do agree it looks so nice and it is a piece of decor to me my plants. I live in tucson Az so we get sunshine pretty much most of the year. Yet January has had more cloudy days this year. I must admit I do not do well in cloudy days. So those of you who live in states where is it is grey more my heart goes out to you if you have a hard time in those seasons. I do agree cheerful pictures and plants do make a big different for sure. You just know how to add the right touches to your home Andrea. I like to see how others decorate.

I like the lantern but does look bit heavy, not too big but top heavy. However really like the idea someone put to paint to match hardware. Oh the meatball sauce sounds fantastic but t since reflux no onions, farlicor fat. Sigh😢it sounds so good.oh yum fresh bread, I love making bread, smell of the yeast, kneading it ❤

The lantern is lovely, you can spray paint it a bronze or copper. The black counter top is what is currently grounding the space.

Hi Andrea, I really enjoy your videos. That recipe with the meatballs looks delicious. I made your ground beef with the gravy and green beans last week. We loved it! Unfortunately, I think the light looks too much for that area. Maybe something a little more petite in that same look.
Your curler technique turns out great! I don’t think you actually need to straighten the ends. I think it would look good without doing that. Love your video. 🙂

I really like plants, real and some of my faux ones that look cute. I do agree it looks so nice and it is a piece of decor to me my plants. I live in tucson Az so we get sunshine pretty much most of the year. Yet January has had more cloudy days this year. I must admit I do not do well in cloudy days. So those of you who live in states where is it is grey more my heart goes out to you if you have a hard time in those seasons. I do agree cheerful pictures and plants do make a big different for sure. You just know how to add the right touches to your home Andrea. I like to see how others decorate.

Maybe an antique brass fixture would be better over the sink. I think it’s the color that makes it seem imposing. Your home looks very cozy and inviting.

I have to agree with you- I think the lantern looks too big for your kitchen. Live plants are a good idea and looks so cute in your pitcher. The snow outside looks beautiful - I love looking at it but don’t really like getting it here in Texas or getting out in it. Thanks for the recipes - always good to have something new to try.

I like the lantern but does look bit heavy, not too big but top heavy. However really like the idea someone put to paint to match hardware. Oh the meatball sauce sounds fantastic but t since reflux no onions, farlicor fat. Sigh😢it sounds so good.oh yum fresh bread, I love making bread, smell of the yeast, kneading it ❤
