I’m closer to 80 than 70 years. All that “vintage” stuff? I have, or have gotten rid of, lots of that.😮 Still have a lot of old bottles and vases. I have a chalkboard that I bought years ago at an antique shop, it is made out of an old shower sliding door. I use to write my grocery list and now my husband uses it to write his appointments and now my grandkids use it to draw or practice their writing when they come to visit me, I love that!

Your home is lovely and warm and so welcoming. I never used to decorate for Spring, but for the last few years I now change up my throw pillows, pack away the blankets, and buy myself tulips -- my favourite fresh-cut flower! I think we all love Spring as it represents renewal and rebirth.
I would so much rather go thrifting than any other type of store. The fun is in the hunt! You do pick up some great stuff!

You mention changing the chalkboard, I think a beautiful larger oil painting with trees and the forrest with lots of green shades would look beautiful in the spot where the metal baskets are by your couch, with a golden vintage frame of course ! Your home is so lovely. I painted my utility door with chalkboard a number of years ago when I used it for quotes and sayings. Now it’s just a nice backdrop for wreaths that I change out for the seasons. Your chalkboard is so cute with the arched top but I get changing things out.

I grew up in Ohio farm country...I am reminiscent about the vintage farmhouse look. I also love your chalk board. Your children will remember that about your kitchen and remember the "countdowns" more than the decorating. Its always so valuable to make a home special for everyone. I vote "yes" to keeping the chalkboard for a little longer!

Hi Andrea! Just love your decorating videos! I'm not much into thrifting since I don't have any stores around where I live. Find it interesting when you showed the bristle broom and I mentioned to my husband how expensive it was and that I remember my parents having several of them growing up (I'm 69 now). He said, "I have one in the laundry room, maybe I should sell it!" We both had a good laugh! I recently looked everywhere for a dress to wear to an out of state funeral and couldn't find anything. I came home and remembered I had some dresses from 20+ years ago and bingo found one that fit perfect and so I got it dry-cleaned. The material, even after that length of time, was so beautiful. It was a black knit dress....well you wouldn't believe how many compliments I received on that "old" dress! They don't make many things like they used to....the quality of older items can't be matched.
Yorkshire Gold tea is my all time favorite coffee substitute. It is bold and rich and can take a nice splash of creamer without making it taste weak!
A couple of comments about your video. First, I would keep the chalkboard. It’s a great place to write notes (my opinion, I wish I had one). That chair in the corner has Jon’s nap time written all over it (the one with the blanket over it). Have to say, your little guy is tough. Broken collar bones are no laughing matter. I enjoy your videos, I wait anxiously for them. The world is a crazy place right now and your soothing voice calms me. I hope your husband had a good trip, he’ll be coming back to a clean house. One of the best tips I've gotten from you is looking for faux stems at the thrift store! I've made a few arrangements from mixed stems found from the thrift store :) Also....love the idea of the glass jars for salad dressings!
The goodwills by us (Grand Rapids, MI) are getting so pricey - the lowest price is 3.99. I remember when the prices were .99!

Be proud of all your treasures you have thrifted.. I love thrifting ...& watching you tinkering around your home. I painted my kitchen table years ago, with chalk board paint & it's such a fun conversation piece. I use it to write notes to myself... lol... enjoy the beautiful spring time weather.
The chalk board will come in handy more as the kids get older. You might want to keep it there. Especially for verses

I love my kitchenaid!! It took me 20 years to get that beautiful mixer, it's pistachio (the color). I am really proud of it. I love the chalkboard, I think it looks very nice.

I like candles but i tend to use my wax warmer more, it stays on all day and i just turn it off when i go to bed at night. I love a fresh, fruity smell in the spring & summer seasons. Wall paper is really pretty in a small powder room or bath. I love thrifting and antiquing! We actually own A thrift store here where i live in Tennessee. I'm not there at the store very often, but i love to go shop it after we've had lots of finding, and yes i do pay some for what i get. We have it to help support our men's recovery home so we need all the funds we can get! That's something we have to change on the baby if our store.. right now it just says "thrift store" so we've got to change it and add "antiques" to the name. A lot of people won't pay antique prices in a thrift store, and that makes sense. We get A lot of antiques sometimes, so changing the name will help (you'd be surprised!) I'm trying to find A mortar & pestal, that one was nice! Your spring decor turned out really pretty❤ Thanks for sharing!
