Connection Design Overview - Part 2: Connection Database & Design Workflow || Library, Type, BCF,BCW

In this video, I will cover different connection templates available in RAM Connection for shear, moment or combined connection, including few special types of connection. Then I will discuss about different connection design workflows starting from the manual approach to fully automated design approach available in the integrated module, and selection of correct design workflow.
For any steel structure, connections are the most vulnerable part, and we need to design these properly considering all factors and check whether it can withstand the critical most loading condition. For any industrial or commercial steel building, like a plant or pipe rack structure, or a PEB warehouse, there are thousands of connections which we need to design, including member to member, bracing or base plate connection. To design any connection, we require the geometric data - like section information, orientation, spacing along with the load data, or member end forces. Based on this, connection design is performed.

Very nice presentation. Sir, Please do make some detailed videos for connection design. Right now i am struggling in connection design part i am learning the PEB structure Modelling i have covered possibly everything in designing except connections, whenever i select End beam column flange joint the connection is not assigned, it says "tapered members does not support connection". I am assigning beam column flange haunch type connection to it and also various connections like bracings, purlins they are also not assigned, do i need to assign some parameters in analysis section in staad i don't know i am confused so much Please help me out ,Hope you will respond soon.
