Connection Design Overview - Part 1: Basics & Introduction to RAM Connection || Design Code, Methods

For any steel structure, connections are the most vulnerable part, and we need to design these properly considering all factors and check whether it can withstand the critical most loading condition. For any industrial or commercial steel building, like a plant or pipe rack structure, or a PEB warehouse, there are thousands of connections which we need to design, including member to member, bracing or base plate connection. To design any connection, we require the geometric data - like section information, orientation, spacing along with the load data, or member end forces. Based on this, connection design is performed.
In this video, I have covered the basics of connection design with RAM Connection, different modules and templates and license configuration.

Can we follow the international codes for design of Connections of steel structures built in india

Yes, you can. Design rules of most of the common connections are not available in the IS code whereas all those are clarified properly in AISC or Euro code. So it is better to follow those guidelines, there is not much difference in design philosophy as well.

In Ram connection we can design only I-section
Only with integrated module
Then how we can design with any profile rather I section

Yes i found the same issue,inclined channel or straight member channel can not be designed,but RAM is very powerfully i like it

Which type of connection and design code you are referring to? Also I section is used as beam, column or bracing? In recent version of RAM Connection, different sections are allowed as beam or column member. You can check the help manual for more details.
