    Absolutely magnificent work!! It’s a pleasure to watch a master craftsman at work. I couldn’t believe you only used a swivel knife to cut in the artwork. Just fantastic! Best regards, Richard

    That is 1 FINE LOOKING rope bag that anyone would be proud to own. Made RIGHT too. Heck I would be afraid to carry it so I didn't scratch it all up. Dang if those dye pens look to make things easier on dying the edges.

    The joint you mentioned around the 1 hour and 1 minute mark is a French seam.

    I assume you could generate a downloadable pattern by tiling the pattern on to 8.5x11 sheets with breaklines so that the pattern can be assembled.

      They sure will. Gets hot pretty fast if your really gettin after it so I cut oversized pieces to give yourself room for folding and use multiple layers

    Believe that seam you used to attach the gusset pieces is a French seam. I've seen Aaron Heizer use it on some of their videos. Can't wait for you guys to get a pattern pack out for this.

    Hi. Iv just watched your vid on making the rope bag, and I am so impressed with everything you did. The tooling is, without a doubt, a, work of art. How do ypu begin to come up with a value for something like this. I am in Ireland, and this kind of leather work would never be seen, because horses are not used here like they are in the states. How many hours overall did the project take. Regards Jack from Ireland

  • @KimoPollock
    @KimoPollock ปีที่แล้ว

    Amazing! How many hours in that bag?
    I don't nothing about leather work besides what I watch on TH-cam, but it might work if you need a second person and don't have one, a swiveling height adjustable garage/bar stool might do the job.

    Beautiful work as always but as a swede I really don't know what I'm looking at. I have a feeling this is used for storing/transporting lassoes (is that the right word?) to and from competitions/events. But I haven't got a clue more than a WAG and some hints from watching American movies showing rodeo an snareing bulls. Need enlightenment!

      Troy is correct. I have the same machine. If you are planning to buy one I highly recommend it but make sure you buy the package deal one. It comes with multiple accessories plus a flat top. If you don't get the package and need something later on it will add so much more to the cost

    Great video Don! I really enjoyed it. I am curious though.You used what appears to be 2 different glues or at least glue in 2 different containers. Are those actually 2 different types of cement and if so what is the difference between them? Thanks and keep the videos coming!

    Yanno...if you take a piece of card stock, about an inch and a half wide, and mark out 10.5" on it, poke a pin in one end and punch a hole even with the mark on the other end, you can pin that to the center of a (really big) piece of paper, and use your pencil in the hole in the other end, and, using the pin end as an anchor at your center point, you can draw yourself a perfect 21" circle.

    Man if you could cut out the music and the spots you are not fast forwarding leave the sounds of the leather work I think it would be far more enjoyable to watch. This music was killing me. Your brothers music was pleasant to listen to though.
