WOW Steve !! Amazing work I wouldn't expect anything less coming from You. I can understand the owner's request to keep the Boots looking the way they are with that natural wear and tear Patina that can never be duplicated. I personally would purchase a pair with that look vs a New pair. That Boot has character without a doubt. I'm a Furniture Finisher by Trade. My job is to retain the Original Patina very carefully, and I love the challenge. We basically remove the old wax as You do, we disassemble reglue and assemble as You do, gently redye where needed as You do, then finish with steel wool, conditioner and a fine wax, as You do. Our trades are Very Similar and that's Why I Respect & Appreciate your gift. Watching you work has been a Blessing to Me. I appreciate you Steve and all the videos you put out. 2024 was a Amazing year I agree. From one Artist to Another ... May God continue to Bless You, Your Family & Your Business throughout 2025🙏🏽 Stay Up Steve👍🏽 ... Robert,
The guy is very fortunate that you were available to remake those boots. I did not expect them to turn out as nice, but then again Steve can work magic.
The transformation is outstanding and the craftsmanship is at its best. The new pieces blended really well and never changed the natural looks of the Indy.
Great job, they look amazing for a partial restoration. The patches blend in well. We don't die. We're just in this body, for now. As a kid in mid 1960s Germany on and RAF base, with lots of Yanks, I nearly drowned after being pushed into the base swimming pool. I was given the kiss of life by the lifeguard, and I suppose I was technically dead, as my spirit hovered above the scene. In an instant, I was back in my body coughing up pool water. This was around 66, and I doubt my parents were told, or that any paperwork was filled out. I sat out the swimming lesson. Happy New Year to you and your family.
Dear Steve I am sorry about your friend’s passing, may they rest in peace🙏🏻Thank you so much for the great videos and your wisdom you so selflessly share. Wishing you the best this new year has to offer🙏🏻❤️
I can’t believe how good they look. I didn’t think it could be done and I thought that side piece of leather was going to look ridiculous. I was 💯 wrong. They look amazing. 👌🏻

Thank you for all your hard work this year Steve, bringing us shows and passing a few words of wisdom on to the followers of your fantastic channel, as always all the very best from Scotland and hopefully next year we get more of your humour and education so let's continue steve.
Huge appreciate for your videos, and thank you for your thoughts about what’s happening around you. Some times people can feel “same” in another part of the world, and after watching and listen to you, they can feel less “alone”. Thank you again!
Absolutely incredible!! I thought you were nuts in the beginning. They turned out spectacular! One of my favorite transformations you’ve ever done. The leather and rubber contrast on the sole edge is gorgeous, and the patina is beautiful on the uppers.
This job is among your finest. You brought those bootd back to life for the customer and then some. Those leather pieces you added to the uppers make the boots look even cooler! I'm betting he is a happy guy. Happy New Year!!
The way the color of the new leather side pieces contrasts slightly with the old leather really gives them a cool look. Almost like the toe protector on motorcycle boots sometimes contrasts with the rest of the boot. Very cool, I never would have thought those could be brought back.
Great repair Steve those patches are hardly noticeable I just knew this was going to be an outstanding job really great boots as usual they came to the right place ❤
Hey Steve, yes greatful for what l have. This year, l lost a few people, too! "LIFE is to short my friend. I always say, "We're here for a good time, not a long time." Hopefully, a better year for business for us after BIG Don gets in come January! God bless my friend. Thanks for the videos!
These are great! I really was not thinking that extra leather on the side looks good at first, but seeing them finished up at the end they look beautiful!
I'm amazed by the patches they hardly even show up. Another amazing job to end the year with thanks for taking us along all year. Have a good New Year.
Steve, you do such quality work!! I wish people would just keep their negative comments and opinions to themselves!! It shouldn't matter to them why someone wants to pay to have quality repairs and restorations done to shoes, bags, jackets, whatever you're hired to do unless they are paying for it!! Let's face it you put hours and hours into 1 20-minute video... we don't see all your work and expertise that goes into each job you do! I'm so sorry for the passing of friends, I almost lost my husband this summer to a heart attack, so I totally agree with what you said... you just never know when someone will suddenly be gone! I hope you and your family had a great christmas and hope you have a happy new year and look forward to more great videos in 2025!!🎉
My favorite cobbler, not many craftsmen like you around any longer. I would be proud to wear a pair of boots refurbished by you. Happy and prosperous New Year to you.
Wow that's stunning. It's so good to see a professional at work like this. Best wishes for 2025 Steve and looking forward to seeing more vids from the UK.
Glad to see more content from you. Not only is the work enthralling to watch, but your editing is perfect for the novice to keep up with. Best to you and yours for the New Year! From all your friends you've never met out here in TH-cam.
Hi Steve what a great video, the boots turned out perfect, just the way I would have wanted if they were mine, and also a great decision on the customers part,on no dieing the uppers and wanting the boots to look new again!
Man Steve, i love you brother, you're such a cool character! I am a perfectionist, a hobby cobbler and frustrated with most of the cobblers i meet who don't really love their job. ("I can't do that, just throw your boots away. It's impossbile to repair. Why don't you buy a new pair?") I love that you put so much effort into every single detail. I think that is so important. It really makes a difference even if some don't appreciate the extra effort. Happy new year!
What??? Must be an early New Years resolution....."I won't trigger anyone by sharpening the utility knife blade......today" 🤣🤣 But as for the boots, great job bringing them back to life. Hope you had a great Christmas, and have a Happy New Year!

Another beautiful job! Happy New Year!

Geez louise! Brought them back from the dead. Definitely impressive...
The patches that you did look absolutely perfect...they fit the boot beautifully.
