I've got to give credit where credit is due, this is a fantastic tutorial. The work ethics, proper application of techniques used, tool and product recommendations/ resources, and candid slice of life moments of an in use workshop in back of a storefront displayed all give people a fantastic example of leathercrafting as a trade.
Very glad I found your page! Great video, great detail! I'm just getting into leather working. Thanks for all the useful tips and tricks. I'm located in western denton county, I will have to stop by your shop sometime!
This was great man! I followed along and made one with you and it could not have turned out better! I'll make an Instagram post and tag you after Christmas since it'll be a gift!
Barge came out with a rubber cement adhesive with NO SMELL (Toluene-Free) like the older version of Barge. It works just like the old cement without the awful smell!
This is awesome. Great video and such an easy step by step process, I really appreciate it. Any chance there will be a Digital PDF Template offered as well? Hoping to start working on it ASAP and digital works best for me. Let me know. Thank you again for the video.
I got my template from you the other day and about to start on this. After you laminated the two pieces of leather together, what was the thickness you arrived at? Thanks
Sure. You can find this knife at Makers Leather Supply in Waco, TX. Here’s a link… makersleathersupply.com/products/the-little-helper-knife?_pos=1&_sid=e1b187c15&_ss=r
That is awesome. And next time someone tells you "Why is this $100 I can buy the same thing from China for half a bag of chips" you can just link them to the video, maybe they will grow some appreciation how long handcrafting takes.
Tutorials like this is my form of meditation. I like them long. You both show and tell. I don't like the ones that just shows and plays som gawdawful music. I wanna make this. Can you offer pattern in printable form please?
I subscribe to a lot of leather craftspeople but I have to say, you are the hardest-working man in the industry
Your very kind. Thanks.
@@OdinLeatherGoods I second Chuck’s comment.

Kind of like a mini-head knife.

Just a pleasure to watch this step by step run through. Which Class Cobra machine you used to sew the wine tote?
I used a Cobra Class 26 for this project.
Hello. What Fiebing’s dye are you using to burnish? Alcohol-based, or oil-based? Thanks.
hello Odin you are a master of leathercraft. Can you tell me where I can buy the leather knife, the small crescent moon?

Great video! What weight leather did you use?
I think I used 5/6oz leather.

Do you sell the pattern a digital download? Thanks

whats the weight of the lining leather?
How did the move go?
Pretty well! Lots to get used to but after one year and feel like we’ve settled in - though I still have a long list of to do’s.
What weight is that leather?
