- Hey Peeps! So after getting the moulage and sloper drafted and checked what do you do then? For me I was always going to try and make a pencil skirted dress because I've had such issues getting them to fit me in the past. I am in LOVE with how this has turned out and it's by no means perfect BUT it's a perfectly good start and I have enough of the fabric to attempt a second version.....which hopefully will be perfect! Wish me luck

Va-va-VOOM - DATE DRESS!!!. Fantastic job on the Craftsy sloper journey. Good choice on using slight stretchy fabric. Will be way more comfortable. Ooh, smooshing the Anna bodice onto a two dart sloper is a brilliant idea. I’ve been wanting to make a version of mine with a grown on sleeve, and this is an excellent option. The result you got with that wiggle dress is amazing.

Stunning!!! Goes to show a whole different way of looking at it, the grown on shoulders perfectly balance the hips, and the style emphasises the waist. Clothing fuller at the hips not necessarily the only way to emphasise a smaller waist. The print totally suits this style of garment. What a make! Total success ❤️

I think it’s smart to have a very close fitting sloper, because when you are designing you can always add ease into the pattern. I will lay my sloper over my commercial patterns and it gives me a good of the fit and if I need to make adjustments. Very well done, it’s a fantastic silhouette on you. I’m very impressed 👍🏼👏🏻🙌🏻
That dress and silhouette look good on you. But I can see how it would take some getting used to if you don't wear it any longer.
For anyone interested in the Craftsy classes, they have both a subscription model and an option to buy individual classes. They also seem to run regular deals on class purchases.
I do the subscription because there are quite a few of the classes that I'm interested in, so it makes sense for me.
