Anastasia, two questions. What is the book that you're using in the beginning of the video, and what are the 25 measurements you took and where do they translate to your sloper?

Great videos. Question: do I need a sloper if I only wear loose fitting blouses? And I don't want to design patterns, but I want store bought patterns to fit at the shoulders and arm scye. Will a sloper helop with that?

I sloper will help but if you know your shoulder length & arm curve you can just do the adjustment to the patterns with out a sloper.

Hi - I am confused about seam allowance. I think you said to create the sloper without seam allowance; however, you traced the sloper onto paper and cut it out. So, how did you sew it up for it to fit the form? When did you add seam allowance, and is it 5/8?

@@SewAnastasia I think what doowopshopgal might have been asking (or, this is my question, anyway 🙂), what did you do with the sloper to change it into the cowl neck top? Is it just me, or did she just totally gloss over how to go from the sloper to the cowl neck. Basically the only thing I learned was the definition of a sloper and that supposedly I can create anything from it, but not even how to do the sample she made.

i watched the video twice now and I feel it’s unfair to say she showed how to use the sloper, her explanation relies solely on having a book with instructions if she hadn’t sped up that part to me that would be explaining how to use the sloper to make adjustments to make a new garment as it is all I now know is what is a sloper and then to trace it but that’s not giving me much my only complain is this should just be titled what is a sloper and here’s an example of me using another book to make a top that requires me to use a sloper, there’s so many possibilities which is totally fine. But i still have no clue how to make adjustments using the sloper as guide, I feel a little duped by the title which i think is what people are saying
