Your channel is so underrated for real, i was shocked when i saw you only have 8.6k subs. you deserve so many more. Goodluck with future projects brother!
This video perfectly articulates how things not turning out as planned feels (time+waiting), especially in my situation with my c4 s6 having the driveshaft to the rear wheels disconnected due to my cv joint that just decided to die on me.
Another awesome video!! That’s totally lame that the kit came that way. I’ve had this happen with brake stuff too and have always had to double check the parts right when I get them. I don’t want these little things always slowing down your progress, but it’s good to see that mishaps happen to everyone and that you overcome those hurdles. I feel like that helps the Audience be more relatable to you. It would be so awesome if someone wanted to help your channel by donating some space in a shop for you until you have the means to get your own.
I had the same problem, but theres a kit with with helicoils, or just oversize tape and use a adapterpplug. Its really an easy fix. I like ur video's, and ur cars. They so relaxing to watch. Keep it up.
Amazing video, quite a lot of emotions there for being stopped from making dream brakes... That's pure life, nothing is as easy as 'they say'. Keep going man, you are doing a great job on your channel - I enjoy watching your movies with that king of narration :)
Seriously impressive cinematography. I'm actually looking foward to each upload of yours, I click on your videos before my other favorite youtubers even. These videos help me alot with my own personal projects, I just bought a house that has taken alot of my own energy completing projects, and I've lost motivation to get my b5's/other cars back on the road, but this helps. Thank you
That completely blows. I was so stoked when you first introduced Rotor Labs. I waited for this video to see the outcome but I was ready to order some 17Z's myself from them.. I'll rethink that for sure. Great content!
I got frustrated just watching this. I have an A4 and after months of researching, I went with the ECS bigger Rotors, it has been great, did not do the rears though.
8:32 It looks like you have a break shield from an A4, apparently the facelift S4 has different break shields to accommodate the bigger 256mm rotor instead of the 245mm of the A4.
These videos are informative and soothing. Always look forward to every S4 post. It's quite inspiring. How have you learned how to do the work? Reading the forums a ton? Where do you get your music from? I'd like to listen to it while working or playing board games. Thanks!
I am stoked you enjoy the videos! All of the car and camera work is self taught. I learn best by trying things, messing up, and learning how to do it better next time. The music I grab from a couple places. Artlist.io is my most common source. You need a license to use it in a video but I do believe listening is free.
The breaks do look killer👌🏼 definitely should’ve caught that prior to sending out the calipers. ( anytime you need bolts, nuts etc.. and you don’t need them same day McMaster Carr is the place to order from, you’ll have the stuff next day like before noon. Insane selection and insane shipping times ✅ )
cool. what i still dont understand is the purpose of the cross over tubes and bleeder screws on 4 pot calipers. I noticed that the monoblock Calipers from Lexus only have one bleeder screw where as your porsche and audi have one per side...
Yeah that's a good question. Im not sure about those lexus 4 pot calipers, but since these have pistons on each side they get two bleeder screws. I will do some digging and see what I can find.
Good philosophy, The Buddha discovered that suffering comes from attachment. As you say things are only temporary the pain we experience is from trying to hold to things, like a woman or a car. Like cling to youth instead of accepting that this is the is. It is the reality of life. 😊
Hey hunter, i just ended up getting 18z's, powdercoated them in teal blue to go with my gold OZ superlegerras with ml55 rotors and they feel amazing. Shouldve gone that route.
I get Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino vibes watching his videos. Haven't watched the video fully yet, but I hope he replaces the brake pads in the rear with the ones actually covering the disc surfaces. Otherwise gaining almost no increased performance and especially losing thermal advantage as well as even wear on the brakes.
I am definitely curious why these pads sit so far back. According to the apikol kit these should be the ones we need but I am absolutely looking into that. When I find a better set they will go on right away!
I’m sure that guy from rotor lab talked to you for a couple years, told you his life story, said he’s been doing this forever and he’s the only one that does it the correct way🤣 Those kits take forever to get, but I’m sure he prioritized you 😬
There's something meditative about watching your videos! Very nice to see how you are helping the S4 B5 get a new life!
Masterpiece of cinematography
Absolutely!
You are too kind! I've still got loads to learn!

It's good to know the calipers are salvageable. I am happy you like the videos! Thank you for the support!
I started watching you for the E30 vids (because I just bought one) but your videos are so good I gotta watch the S4 series.

sorry this happened, i had a similar issue when i upgraded my rear brakes from 272x10 to 310x22.
I'm glad I'm not alone haha😅 definitely a bit of a setback though. Sorry you went through it too
Same thing happened to me two years back with my b7 a4 rear banjo style calipers, luckily I was able to tap it.
Tapping it does seem like a solid option. Then the caliper doesn't go to waste at least!
I got frustrated just watching this. I have an A4 and after months of researching, I went with the ECS bigger Rotors, it has been great, did not do the rears though.
Another great video, thanks. Hope they get that caliper sorted asap

That's really interesting🤔 I wonder why the previous owner would do that lol. I'll have to ask him sometime.
BBK it is still one of my favorite mods after 15 years

Bitta existentialism with my car modification video viewing. Nice.

Ooh I will 100% check them out next time I order hardware! Thank you for the suggestion!

No, I'm sorry. With a Mk 1, it's different. Do we need to start over ? Wipe on, wipe off. Wipe on, wipe off.

18z are sweet. Sounds like a solid combo with those wheels!
Damn that Speech though 👏
Thanks again
Why dont you make new threads, and a larger fitting? quick fix
Dude I’m trying to get my brakes done on my b5 a4 rn I totally feel this struggle. Always gotta be somethin that doesn’t go right with these
You had to of gone to film school... These videos are always beautiful
Haha no but that would have been fun. I went to engineering school though😅
I get Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino vibes watching his videos.

What are those cylindrical pieces at the ends of each brake pad? Looks like once the pads wear out they'll contact resulting in you losing brakes?
I love your videos!!!
Great video. Did you have any issues with Rotorlab? How long was their delivery? Would you recommend them? Many thanks.
Awesome as usual! I would really appreciate if you could add liks to the parts that you have used in the description :)
The links should be in the description. The calipers and rotors don't have a traditional link since they were custom through rotorlab.
Okay cool, but I don't see them :(
@@Nogaroblueb5 woah that's super weird. Looks like it didn't keep the fact they were links and just used the title of the site. Let me look into that.

Haha I got no special treatment from him😆 I bought this months ago. I did get to hear his whole story like you said though. Seems like a good guy!
Sucks about that drawback. Love the video though.
I'm stoked you enjoyed it!
hey!
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉👍🏿🍻
