Thank You for this!!! It was by far the easiest, and best for my the learn how to clean my 9mm. Now, I can officially say that I am able to clean my own Taurus G2c 9mm, (due to your help). I have owned, used and cleaned all types of hunting rifles & shotguns since I was a kid, my PawPaw raised me, hunting & fishing put food on the table. He taught to always take care what put food on the table, or your may not eat. But I was never raised shoot pistol & revolvers, my MawMaw had a long nosed .357 and that thing was a BREAST and I was scared of it.
Anyway, after I divorced I knew I needed some type of handgun to protection for myself being me & my 2 sons were living alone. I ended up buying my Taurus G2c, a S&W .38 special and a Ruger .380. The S&W .38 was super simple to clean, after this video I have clean my 9mm down to an art, my next adventure is cleaning the Ruger .380.
Any pointers or links to help me?

I was taught how to clean firearms from the time I was in grade school by my dad. The first thing I do when I get a new tool is take it apart, clean and oil the firearm. My G2C is my EDC so it gets cleaned quite a bit to keep the lint out and my other guns are always cleaned after a range trip. Those that may not make it to the range as often will be cleaned and oiled at least every three to four months. Cleaning my guns clears my mind and relaxes me. Thanks for the video.

The price, the great reviews, the good looks, the manageability...everything about it, my spirit told me it was 'my gun'. Started buying all the accessories I'd need for it as well, including a cleaning kit combo, designed for pistols and shotguns so I will use that for the CD Honcho I'm hoping to score maybe in April.....Gotta say I was intimidated by the prospect of disassembling it for cleaning but now I'm eager to receive it and take it apart and get familiar with it. Been cleaning guns since I was 12. This video is great!! I've had the G2 Millenium since it came out. I was hesitant, but I love it. My Uncle didn't believe in it til I took him to the range and let him put as many rounds as his heart desired through it. He couldn't believe it. I agree with you, other than the cheaper cleaning/oil products, any will do the job. I do use the mil spec, but more for it's cleaning ability. I wipe it down and still add a drop of Rem Oil to the friction areas. Any time I show someone how to clean their gun(s), I start and end with make sure you are being safe (then I throw in some safety details). I approach cleaning my gun like I just learned, every time, SAFELY paying attention. My table even have a safety sign on it. GREAT VIDEO!! Stay safe!!

I bought a G2c a little over a year ago and went to the range a couple times and put Maybe 150 rounds through it. I then bought an AR-15 and my pistol just sat around and didn't get shot for over 6 months. I decided to take it out today and noticed it didn't want to chamber the first round from each magazine without a little assistance from me to push the slide forward. Not a huge deal but not something to forget about either. I never cleaned a pistol til now and I oiled it also. Hopefully that solves my issue. Thanks for making this much easier than I thought it would b. I was able to watch the video and u made it seem a lot less daunting. Thank you.

Have had the G2C for a few years now. Really like it. Let my daughter use it for her first time. She did really well with it. Also have the G 3 had a jamming issue with Federal ammo. Haven't shot much since ammo is coming back will start shooting again and see.

My G3 had a problem when I first got it with hollow points. I polished the feed ramp to a mirror finish with a dremel and some compound, and it started feeding any and every hollow point I threw at it. Steel Case, Aluminum, even Remanufactured cheap stuff. It eats everything and spits it out.

Great tutorial - I clean after every range session but I’m usually downing 400 rounds + ( we still have affordable ammo in Canada for now ..)
This vid applies to all strikers IMO
I use D- wipes or Lead free to handle the gun initially and wipe all the fouling off inside and out so I keep my hands cleaner to start - as I do high round count sessions I’ll run the tool a bit wet- then I do the barrel - set aside like u -I use any CLP - basically same procedure as u - get into extractor , breach face and chamber face with a pick - I’ll root around with a stiff Q-tip to wipe out cleaner and gunk in the little pockets around the lock up and trigger/sear and slide grooves - then wipe off all the cleaner with D- wipes - final dry up with cotton rag ( get them from paint store ) then lube er up - Lucas or Breakthrough
I do wipe down the mags and the followers wand Q-tip the interior mag face around the followers
I’ll take the mags apart occasionally and get it all done ✅

@@TacticalConsiderations Can still get buy bulk practice brass FMJ 9mm @ $0.26 USD a round but, as handgun use, transport and ownership is highly restricted here and is fundamentally illegal for civilian self defence purposes , only competition shooters do high round count training and a lot of them re-load so our warehoused factory ammo stockpiles haven’t taken a hit like your’s -and most ranges were shut down for months nationwide last year

I've had no problems @ all with it.

Iv also have lakeline Barrel & springs. Adjustable spring-loaded rear sights front sight back sight fiber optic and I run G3 20 round
Clips. I've had gotten it in July
2020 and I practice with it once a week religious and have run at least
1,000 rounds in it. I highly recommend this pistol to anyone! and to go to Lakeline lcc and upgrade everything on it like I did
And get a quality adjustable rear sight that fits a Glock 17 fiber optic front and rear sights you'll be amazed I fully trust this pistol with my life in a defensive situation if needed. 2A 🇺🇸 2A

I tend to be a tinkerer so I usually take my guns apart two or three time before I ever shoot them. I also clean them before I ever shoot them. As you said with my Taurus G3C T.O.R.O. there was a lot of grease in it when I took it apart. Good video for the new gun owners out there.
