Non-chill filtered and natural colour
COLOUR
Light amber
NOSE
Complex, smoky sherry, dark fruit, prunes, ‘roosterkoek’ with grape preserve
DROP IN THE PALM - fresh whole grain bread
TASTE
Not as complex as the nose, lightly smoked fruit, ‘roosterkoek’ with grape preserve
FINISH
Lingering, sweet and then smoked pepper
EMPTY GLASS - fresh flame toasted bread and plum sauce
WITH WATER:
Nose: more light sherry
Taste: smooth and satisfying
COMMENT: A dram that you want to go back to

Nice that you are able to do a series of a local distillery. PX cask sounds tasty. The parent company really has a commitment to presenting their products at Whisky nerd levels so this distillery is in good hands. Wish this was available near me maybe someday. Cheers

Very nice review again! Keep them coming 👍. I cannot get the special editions here (Netherlands), but am a fan of the distillery since my visit some years ago. Your rightly proud of the product. Hope some of the editions will be available in Europe some time in the future. Thanks for the review

This is by far the best whisky in the Three Ships range. In my opinion it is such a really special whisky that I feel sorry for anyone who is not able to experience it.
