I know everyone is talking about chemistry but Josh always has crazy chemistry with the people he interviews. It's that relaxes atmosphere that makes it so cozy everytime
That's very true. I think a lot of it is also similar to Sean Evans he takes the time to deep dive and they get asked about things that they care about that are not normally discussed.
This interview with Ella was very earnest and heartfelt. The way she spoke about depression was so candid and honest, and I really felt that. I have definitely had the "I don't want to get up and cook dinner today, I just want to sleep" feeling before... I found her ability to spin humor around some very tough stuff was very charming. She was an absolutely wonderful guest!! Josh, as always, you did wonderfully. You and the crew should be damn proud of the work you do on this series. Keep it up!!
Depression isnt "I dont wanna make dinner tonight, I just want to sleep" and in fact that's an insult to people who actually harm themselves. Being lazy is not depression.
I'm going through a rough time with depression right now. Hearing Ella say that the best thing you can do for yourself is the hardest thing is to take a shower and cook for yourself hit heart. And the greatest act of love is taking care of yourself hit hard. Thank you Josh for sharing this with us.

It’s not sad, many of us suffer from depression. Some more than others. I believe you can make some positive changes in your life today. Even if it’s just putting away a couple dishes or washing some laundry. I know it’s sometimes easier said than done. I think you’re awesome and can do a lot!

This show really astounds me coming from watching something like hot ones. Josh has such a great personality to disarm the guests and make it feel like two friends chatting rather than an interview. It never feels forced or robotic unlike other shows, and there is always such a deeper more personal conversation with the guest you don’t get elsewhere. I just started watching this show but I’ve binged 10 of them so far and will definitely be watching any in the future. Keep it up yall!
Continue to be impressed and entertained with the people they get to do these interviews. I wonder if they would be able to get Bridgit Mendler to do this, would love to she her talk about her life with the crazy trajectory it has taken.
Never heard of her before (I don’t watch TV/movies) but damn am I so proud to be a Londoner when we have such thoughtful people!! I love how she still has a bit of that East London twang to her accent that comes out further into the video when shes more comfortable

oh i already loved her but man she is such a joy to listen to!! i love the way she formulates herself and the segment about dealing with negative emotions felt really important to me as i struggle with the same. it's nice when things are put into perspective like this. thanks for inviting her!!
This feels like i'm watching a first date, the chemistry and the giddy joy between the two is so palpable, one of my absolute favorite last meals. Ella is such a likeable personality
Saying this is wild lmfaoooo.
@totallynotimari it does at first feel weird but chemistry is super important for interviews! Having that dynamic makes for great and relaxed banter
isn't he engaged?
@@totallynotimariunfortunately we are made to view great energy matching and enjoyable time via a romantic lens. Especially when it's two attractive people etc.

I did not know who Ella Purnell was, have never watched anything she’s been in, and I put off watching this episode because I wasn’t particularly interested. But this was, again, so touching and entertaining to watch. I’m starting to think Josh could interview any random person off the street and make a good episode. He’s just that good at establishing a rapport and getting people to open up.
I'm not super familiar with Ella, but Josh does such a great job interviewing I watch ever episode of this show regardless of if I know the person or not.
Amazing work ♡
Watch Arcane if you can, so good.
@@jonbaxter2254And Fallout :)
Arcane, Yellowjackets, Fallout, and SweetPea are all the TV shows she plays in, and they're all great, along with her being very good in her role!
@@JinxGoober_03 She's the reason why I plan on watching SweetPea at some point :)
i had no idea who ella was but she is such a brilliant girl and totally captivated my attention throughout this episode. what she said at 23:08 really made me sit back and think... damn, she is absolutely right.
Episodes lately have been incredible. I’ve been watching Mythical stuff for years, and this might take the cake as my favorite show.
This show has helped me so much with my own depression, thanks for creating this
This show really astounds me coming from watching something like hot ones.
She is so well spoken!! So charismatic, she really knows how to have a good conversation!! Love her
Continue to be impressed and entertained with the people they get to do these interviews.
I like to think that every other celebrities probably asking other about the show when getting invited and they would be "It is awesome, you get to eat delicious food and he will ask you about the fear of death" 😂
this lady is blowin up and deserves every bit of it what an actress and a charmer too
Last Meals is officially the best interview show IMO.
this is one of the best interviews from this series. I am immensely impressed.
@19:30 Sounds to me like you're a texture over taste person, Miss Ella. And even in your uncertainty I've perhaps never felt more validated in being the same exact way. Yet another absolutely delightful episode, Josh & crew!
Great interview! Have to point out Ella´s great laughter. Reminds me of some blue-haired girl...
what a sweet pea Ella is. Just lovely and open and funny. now gonna watch her show. perfect marketing
0:51 Josh immediately starting the interview off on a fantastic note 🥹🥹
"Is this a whole mouthful situation? Yea it is"
Bless you, Ella 😂 I'd be doing the same thing on screen 🙌
this was everything. she’s so wise beyond her years
Watching Ella and Josh being a hivemind from start to finish is amazing. The connection these two had from the get-go is rare! This was a very fun interview to watch.... And again, the guest actually EATS the food :D
the chemistry was so crazy, i was getting jealous
Aw I love her. She’s down to earth, funny and passionate
0:27 Josh, the professional stalker
Perhaps the thinnest guest who absolutely actually ate the most. Loved it!
Living your best life! 🌸
I think this was my favourite episode, great chemistry and it made me like her so much more! She answered so well and thoroughly to so many of the questions!! ♥
holy crap these two are a fantastic pair for this series!
It's hilarious hearing a non-native say "you know the thing i miss is the tacos" :-P #1 thing i get when i come back from traveling.
0:32 Josh with his best nardwuar impression
I can't find the commercial that he's talking about
"the best thing you can do for yourself is the hardest thing" as someone who battles depression & anxiety OMG that will influence my future my mindset forever. i LOVE her
She was the breath of fresh air I needed today ⛅️
I love this format so much. It feels so personal.
It's so nice to see more of Ella in interviews. I've just watched the first ep of sweetpea and I've enjoyed it so far like her other projects
I’ve been in love with Ella ever since Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children! She’s so beautiful and such a great actress
Here after listening to the off menu podcast which was hilarious, she was hilarious, looking forward to this one
