Serge brought up an interesting point about Johnson's age, as human lifespans in the 26th century on average are much longer than today thanks to better healthcare. Considering Rob initially thought that Johnson was in his forties, I think he should know that Chief and the other Spartan-IIs are around 40-41 by the time of the games. Luckily, we know Spartan-IIs can live for somewhere between 200-250 years.
More fan service!! I love it! Johnson's connection to Jenkins is in the book Harvest ... I don't have the audiobook in front of me right now, but it tells us about Johnson and Jenkins. It is Johnson's story, more or less. I highly recommend it! He is from my hometown (I won't name the city until Rob knows ... no spoilers. I know the rules!) Johnson is one of THE best characters of African descent and so one of my favorites. That being said, I can't STAND the other one (Serge knows of whom I speak) from the games OR the little movie I don't know if Rob has seen yet.
Another story in the Halo Graphic Novel is Last Voyage of the Infinite Succor, which is about Rtas 'Vadum (aka. Half-Jaw) and explains how he lost two of his mandibles. But Rob will probably need some reacquainting with him, as it has been 2 games at this point.
Considering Rob's point about Johnson's jump, it seems kinda insane to me that he can do that and Chief, a Spartan-II 37 years younger than him and with more advanced augmentations, can't in-game. Also, looking forward to your reaction to NotPipi's animation!
Yeah, it definitely surprised me as well that he was able to jump that far. Maybe it could be argued because of the suits weight? Though it is supposed to enhance existing capabilities including agility

Yes! I wish there were animated versions for all of these, will probably have to just read through it normally
