I remember reading about Marvin Mobuto in the novelization! I had no IDEA there was an animation about him. That story was GREAT! Thanks a MILLION for sharing it! I'm with Serge! Sparky is bat poop nutso coo coo ... so ... he was probably infected with some strange level building virus .... that could be a reason LOL This seems like a good place to share some lore of my own LOL When I was pregnant with my youngest, she used to jam out to the music of Halo CE. The music would start and the baby would begin flopping around inside until the music stopped. She was annoyed after her birth that she couldn't play Halo with her Dad because even the smallest controller was too small for her hands. But eventually, she grew big enough to play with her Dad and she still plays Halo to this day. Possibly one of the youngest Halo fans at the time (as she started in utero) LOL She is 20 now, just graduated in May with an AA in Psychology, BS in Criminal Justice with a minor in psychology and in 3 years she will have a Juris Doctor. That has nothing to do with Halo, but a mother must flex sometimes LOL.

When I was practicing driving to get my driver's license, I would play Halo tracks to imagine I am in a warthog driving through a battle zone lol

Ah, I remember all the short promotional clips, even saw some of them on TV back in the day. I think this is a great idea, and Surge already said he was going to show Rob the movie "The Fall of Reach", so no worries there. Surge could probably do all the shorter clips in one go, as they would not be very long at all back-to-back.

Another animation by NotPipi is his adaptation of Halo: Breaking Quarantine, which is a Japanese manga-style comic that shows how Johnson escaped the Flood research facility, as well as some of Halo: First Strike were he meets Chief in orbit of the ring before they capture a Covenant capital ship. I'm pretty sure those parts use some dialogue from Halo: First Strike similar to how this one uses parts of Halo: The Flood. Also, HiddenXperia has a video about Zuka 'Zamamee if Rob is interested.
Oh nice! Good idea regarding the video about Zuka Zamamee. Do you happen to have the parts of the passage from First Strike handy? No worries if not, I just don't know what parts would be used in the animation and don't want to watch it ahead of time since it will be my first time seeing it as well

Hey Surge, have you heard of the SPV3-mod for Halo: Combat Evolved? It really revamps the game and adds things only seen in the later games, like Brutes and Drones, and much more. Like being able to use the DMR from Reach just feels so good, and also natural - like it was supposed to be there in the sandbox. It is actually really cool because a lot of the stock missions have been altered to let you go different routes, and the devs also added more missions between the official ones. Sadly, I believe it is only for PC, but might be worth looking at some gameplay just to show Rob "what could have been".
I have heard of it! I have never played or seen gameplay of it however. I am not familiar with PC and mods, but I would like to figure out a way to play it at some point. Would it still work with the Xbox controller?
@@x2zchat It was rather easy to install, and works fine with Xbox controllers, I used an Xbox One controller and had no issues. Well, aim-assist is not really there, but for single player it still works fine. I think originally the mod needed the Halo: CE Custom Edition as base, but there might be a version for the MCC these days. Last tried it in 2019 so a lot has probably changed.
I like the theory that the Elite briefly seen was Zuka 'Zamamee, but it may not have been. I think at this point in time Zuka was still unconscious. That said, NotPipi may have overlooked these details or didn't care as this animation isn't canon to the official lore. I'm inclined to think it's that last one as while I initially thought the Elite was a minor (the common blue ones), I just realized that he's actually a SpecOps Elite (the black ones), just like Zuka. Also I'm pretty sure Chief and Spark's voices were AI based on their weird intonations.
Yeah, while watching I noticed his armor was black like a stealth elite with red lights and a sword which is why my mind immediately went to Zuka. A cool cameo appearance for sure. I would guess AI as well, it's the easiest way to recreate the voices
