You forget l forgot to mention that right now (even in Japan, I'm pretty sure) it's hard to find an M-rated game for the Switch. xmish16 Ik like really , Nintendo , if the game is restricted for ages just for only from some non important things they should do , if the option is activated , a barrier that says "Age restricted" or something loke that or if its a important thing just chage it so it isnt age restricted
like that news report were the dad is throwing out games that he paid for the kids and putting it on live and forcing the kids to go with his plan

When I was younger I was restricted to one hour every other day. And I had to ask before starting. Meaning if I played on Monday I was (usually) not allowed to play on Tuesday for example. And remember, it was (usually) always around an hour max.
Well, it was mostly because I got very frustrated so easily back then and they didn't want me to get too addicted or get too frustrated all the time or something.
Plus I was like 5 to 13 when my mom had that rule.
But at least I got to play almost as much as I wanted at my dad's house though he did have some understandable limits. Like don't play when we're visiting someone or had guests unless he says I can, or not while we're eating and stuff like that.
Btw, holidays and weekends were usually exceptions to the rules. Unless we were visiting someone or had guests.

Well, I did adjust to it and managed to play a relatively good portion of a game every time.
But hey, on the bright side, this kept me from finishing my games too quickly as well. Nowadays I can keep myself from throwing a tanthrum whenever I lose so I don't really have those restrictions anymore. There are of course some obviously inappropriate times to play video-games, but still, I have more freedom with my games now than a few years ago.
Imagine how many children slammed the parental controls ad because well kids nowadays they want to play their games with no interruptions. I mean I'm a kid myself but my parents aren't that strict to the point they never let me finish a race because of parental controls right when I was gonna cross the finish line.
"Did they just confirm smash for switch?" 3 years later. Hell yeah.
