I never even thought about Peach's kitchen until now...how am I gonna sleep tonight knowing she doesn't even have a kitchen to bake that cake in.
The canon explanation is Peach has two castles. The one in SM64 is an art gallery, the other is an actual living area that appears in Paper Mario 64. Still doesn't explain why she was inviting Mario to THIS castle for cake.

@@hariodinio so when the story book is being read in the video he uses a mans voice, similar to the one he uses to do shadow the hedgehog. However in the game we're shown thst rosalina is the one who is reading the book. Like that's the whole reason the library exists in the game. I just found it funny he didnt use a feminine voice for that part.
I love how Mario 64 has such little plot that most of the sins for it are either related to Peach or her castle.

I think the real point about sin #17 is why does Mario run out of air at all? In the past (and future) games, he was perfectly capable of staying underwater without running out of air. Or is he just that much of a badass and can hold his breath for as long as he wants? Also, all jokes aside, that SMG ending music along with the lumas sacrificing themselves to save the galaxy at 17:36 is just enough to make a grown man cry. It's that beautiful.
The 2D games have different rules from the 3D games. 3D Marios have been like this since SM64.
