Hey guys! I know it’s been a few weeks since my last video but I have had a few requests for a few “Out of the Vein” songs and “Forget Myself” was one of them.
This song features some incredible riffs from Tony Fredianelli who was the lead guitarist at the time. He borrowed a lot of influence from Kevin Cadogan and it definitely shows on this track.
I went all out adding multiple layers which show up frequently in this song.

dude how are you getting that epic tone for the main riff that isn’t too distorted but just right? anyways amazing cover, out of the vein is a great album
Thanks man! I’m using a Zoom G5N Multi Effects Processor which has pre-programmed patches on it. I’m using a light boost which has just a touch of gain and then for the chorus I switch to one that’s slightly heavier.
Also, kind of related to tone, I would use a single coil guitar if you have one for this track. Tony used Stratocasters on some of the OOTV songs, and I think this one of them.
