      Yea is possible since the real bottleneck is the lack of compelling games and softwares. I get that is hard to make a softwares for vr/ar since is highly advanced compare to old flatscreen and company think is too risk to invest in it

    Remember to blink when you're wearing your VR headset. Dry eye and eye strain are common issues with prolonged headset wear.

  • @pgreeff

    To address the head strap discomfort, I added the Bobo VR M3 head strap. I removed the facial interface allowing the headset to float in front of my face. I prefer passthrough most of the time so this feels most natural as it allows me better peripheral vision. I have three batteries with two on the charging dock allowing me uninterrupted work and game play. The longest session so far has been 14 hours.
    Eye fatigue is possibly due to the focal point as you mentioned. I have a set of contact lenses specifically for VR with a prescription moving the focal point from about 1.3 - 1.5m to close of infinity. I've found with this setup my eyes don't get tired with prolonged use and the halo style strap is very comfortable for extended use. The batteries at the back do a great job of balancing the weight.
    With immersed it helps to have a proper GPU. On my gaming laptop I have a 4080. I don't seem to notice any performance degradation with virtual screens added. With my work laptop which has an on board Intel graphics chip every virtual monitor adds significant CPU load and as such I use a dummy HDMI dongle for the second screen.
    Gaming is great on the Quest, except for latency sensitive games. On Fortnite the latency is significant enough that I prefer to play on my 16 inch laptop screen. For most other games the latency is low enough that I don't notice it.
    I use both Virtual Desktop (best for gaming) and Immersed (best for productivity) and then also have Fluid for on the go connectivity in the cloud.

    Been using immersed everyday for my work around 10+ hours for around 3 months now. You just need a good headstrap and with a powerbank or something on the back of your head for weight distribution. It does take some "getting used to", but after about a week, it gets really comfortable for long working sessions without any eye strain or anything. Oh! And get a charger with a long usb cable for continuous power...

    • @reality-rise
      @reality-rise  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hell yeah, mate! Thanks! I've had a Kiwi head strap before for my Quest 2, but I never bothered buying another strap for my Quest 3 since I like lying down without anything poking the back of my head. But as you said, for working long sessions on an app like Immersed, another strap could come in handy.

      Same here about immersed. Work an 8+ hour work day every day in immersed for a couple months now. I just use the default head strap because it’s super light and have my Quest plugged in the whole time.
      After work, if I still play or do anything else, I have a BoboVR strap with external batteries I’ll use.

  • @RolandDobbins
    @RolandDobbins หลายเดือนก่อน

    You need to get a battery strap which is more comfortable than the stock strap. The BoBoVR S3 is generally considered to be the best one.
    I work in Immersed every day with my Quest 3 & MacBook Pro M3. It works very well, & Immersed tracks & displays my Apple Wireless Keyboard without using the portal function.

    What did you use for the remote session to work? As in programs used, router settings, did you had to leave your pc running for the entire time?

    • @reality-rise
      @reality-rise  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, for the remote session, your PC needs to be on and connected to your network. I use a Wifi6 connection, and it's directly connected with an ethernet cable.

  • @District7Studio

    Using all these apps which is best for low latency daily work. not for gaming but for trading stocks or crypto? is it best to run multiple monitors with immerse or does it lag and what bout clarity is Virtual pc better for detailed work with one monitor? over immerse 5 monitor setup?

    • @reality-rise
      @reality-rise  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use immersed for a multiple monitor setup and virtual desktop for somewhat better visual clarity. But all depends on how good your network is, of course. A Wifi 6 router is a must for it to work smoothly.

  • @BenRobinson1974
    @BenRobinson1974 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I don't understand why the keyboard and mouse needs to be paired with the headset - everything is happening in the PC, so surely the mouse and keyboard need to be connected to that? WHy would there be any lag?

    • @reality-rise
      @reality-rise  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Depends on what your motives are. If you work remotely somewhere outside your house, you can connect it directly to your headset and use your PC that way in your headset. Otherwise it's of course adviceable to connect it directly to your PC for minimal lag/latency.

    Unfortunately the latest update to the agent ruins Immersed for anyone who has multiple physical monitors. Not only does it not show multiple physical monitors inside the app, it straight up tells you to unplug them rather than showing one physical and x virtual. Was using it just fine with two physical and two virtual prior. There's also allegations they're removing any posts pointing this out/critical of this from their official Subreddit and Discord, though I have not confirmed these allegations for myself.

    Buy some comfortable headstrap instead of this default panties string. I have bobovr holo headstrap with their battery and additional 20000 mAh powerbank. I just finished playing 12 hours game session and i don't have any problems with headset or comfort. Immersed is good app when you figure out their controls and settings. For example you can turn off and on fingers tracking by touching your ring finger with thumb. But immersed audio streaming and some video streaming like TH-cam are bad.

    That’s the type of hardware that should be burned on day one.
