Yeah but the Australia/Euro version of the 2017 Mustang left out important safety features the American one came with as standard, so I wouldn't be jumping at this one unless they get a new ANCAP / NCAP and prove they've rectified those issues.
Mido Alaaeldin well I’m not saying that everyone needs to use it for work but I’m trying to say that you have more I guess you can say “advantages” with a truck. @@MS-mr4zm For me, it's fun driving a standard for about a month, then it gets old shifting all the time. Besides, I'm always ridiculed that I ride the clutch too much.
Colin Reid depends on what your trying to do to them. If you don’t plan on mods then the 15-17 are ok but if you want speed then 18-20 is what you want. The stock motors can handle 1000hp for the 18-20s without building the engine. Plus they’re faster out the box than the previous models.
The downside is, stock, the GT isn't that great at actually putting all the power down to the pavement. It's great if you want to do a few burnouts and then put it back in the garage, which is what the target market of those cars is. The GT350 approaches what you need to do to put all the power to the pavement.

Agree to everything mentioned. I picked up a 2019 gt for 36k with 0% interest for the length of my loan. After a year of ownership I have no complaints. Love it and it's my daily.
The independent suspension is a welcome change. The older models, while adequately fast going straight, suffered in cornering and provided a somewhat punishing ride overall.
I own one of these Scotty and couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. 3 years later and 37K miles and no issues, just change synthetic oil every 5K and put new Michelin Sports on it at 30K. The 10 Speed auto trans is outstanding.
I agree. All the American muscle cars are great and everyone is gonna hav a favorite for one reason or another. I had always been blindly brand loyal to Chevy but have had a STR8 Challenger and a a couple of Camaros. But there’s something extra special about the mustang and has been for many years. Style, sound, performance, innovation and reliability. I’m gettin the hankerin’!
Yea, too much computer controlled stuff = Problems All the time & High Repair costs. Make sure You get a Good warranty To include everything for 5 years.
Theres many 2015 Mustang GT's in our country which was provided by Ford's Agent (Which they left in 2016, so we can't have any Ford authorized sevices), and they have no problems whatsoever. Just domestic oil and filter change. You won't have any problems unless you rev the engine up to 6-7k rpm ALL TIMES (which is impossible). V8s will last a long time.
Looking at all those computer controlled features on this and other modern cars suggests high long-term expense. Most people I know who get modern Mustangs don’t keep them long, though. They drive the wheels off them, then as the warranty expires trade in for newer one...
I agree. Computer-controlled this, computer-controlled that...for the Mustang, Ford may be moving in Mercedes' direction in terms of the expense when something computer-controlled breaks.
I had an ecoboost for a rental for a week. By far the most comfortable seat I've ever been in. Totally wraps you in. You corner hard, you move with the vehicle; rather than against it. Haven't had the pleasure of driving the GT yet.
I rented one of these for a week. Awesome car. Fuel economy was good too. You have to get use to the noise. Was scared to push it. One of the best. Even on rain soak road. Only use 25 dollars of gas. 230 km
ford has been working a lot on quality over the last ten years it's amazing the tech they added and instead of hopping around to new tech fads they have been refining the new tech each iteration. 24 miles per gallon is almost scotty's celica and he could take it on the track anytime on the weekends. good job ford they have a little way to go to get to where toyota is but there getting closer each year, with fewer models refining will be a lot easier.
True manuals or better in some situation s and automatics are better in outhers and I like both but I prefer not to daily a manual. But if i want a joy ride ill take my standard

If you can't beat em join em. Truthfully technology is growing and it Ford mustang has proven once again that computer is better shifting even in powerful cars. Sooner or later manual cars would've almost extinct in even high performance cars
@@f86tune48 EXACTLY. Nearly everything he says in here, contradicts his overall standpoint on cars. It's brand new, it's an American built car, has push-button start and is predominantly computer-controlled. He's being FAKE as hell. He would NEVER personally suggest any car is worth $38,000
Roddy Evans I know doug very well he's great and unique , no one can replace his style evntho many did , but the difference is that Scotty is a professional mechanic and funny so he can go deeper in to the car details even than Doug . O My God! Look who's saying "Sometimes he's good to get out of dinosaur' s ages". Wow! Now, I have faith that the world will change. Mr. Scotty, I am very proud of you.
Indeed. The Mustang, however, deserves its name. You gotta "tame" it but only the pros can tame the mustang, but even then it does still lose control. Its how you manage to bring it back into control.
Hey Scotty, my 2000 single overhead camshaft 4.6 mustang GT convertible currently has over 141,000. Never a rebuild. Transmission and engine all original. I installed over the years many mods , but nothing to crazy including : Msd coils , k&n cold air intake, Ford performance manifold , flowmasters etc.. The car car runs, looks and drives beautifully. These engines are easy to work on and inexpensive to maintain. I plan on adding a more newer gt to the family, like the one in this video, but it's got to be a convert. Thanks.
Pretty much every point made in this video (except for the direct injection) also applies to the 2018 Challenger R/T Scat Pack and the 2018 Camaro SS. All of these cars have approx. same hp, same weight, same features, and above all, the same price tag of just under $40k. Spending $40k on a car is an absolute ton of money. But, for those who can, any of these 3 cars are a good choice.
Josh Smitty people say it looks like a lot of things which in my mind is a good thing cuz that makes it a sleeper. don't know until it flies by for way less money invested.
It's not about "beating to computer" its about driving the car yourself. Just planting your foot compared to actually shifting is boring as hell. I'd rather have to control the car myself, which means a clutch, a stick, and the ability to heel-toe.
@@XvFenixvX The clutches in Fords are unnecessarily light now. To the point that in the Focus ST they added in artificial resistance just so you could feel how far it's depressed.

Diesel Douche hey she’s got the car. What are you the police. Don’t be concerned about how people make their money because you don’t have it 😂
The Mustang has withstood the test of time facing adversity over the decades.
03 SVT Cobra with 90k original miles and still going strong.

C'mon over man, lol. Plus Ford didn't take the bail out money on 2008 as the other manufacturers did. Total respect for Ford.
Trading my Corolla for this Mustang tomorrow😉😉

I hope all the fancy stuff holds up over time.
Yea, too much computer controlled stuff = Problems All the time & High Repair costs. Make sure You get a Good warranty To include everything for 5 years.
VidsLive yeah God forbid you need to change a spark plug or an injector. Have fun dropping the engine.
That's what I was thinking. My mom wants one but she's still driving her 2003 lexus she got in 2010.
sieve5 Sweet rides. Lexus.
3 years from now: "Here's why the 2018 Ford Mustang GT can go to hell"
There wont be a 3 years from now. Fords are death traps.
Engines and shifting forks are already breaking.
lol!!

Rev up while brake torquing your 460 HP Stang !
I'm impressed Scotty that you liked the new hot rod Mustang.
Looking at all those computer controlled features on this and other modern cars suggests high long-term expense. Most people I know who get modern Mustangs don’t keep them long, though. They drive the wheels off them, then as the warranty expires trade in for newer one...
Shelly Kennedy because they are so affordable!
Shelly Kennedy Exactly mate but these modern car lovers will never learn.
Have you seen some older japanese cars? Cough cough mitsubishi GTO
I agree. Computer-controlled this, computer-controlled that...for the Mustang, Ford may be moving in Mercedes' direction in terms of the expense when something computer-controlled breaks.
YES! But not as bad as bmw or Audi or Mercedes because it’s American made not foreign wich carries import prices.
Love the latest mustang especially the new 5.0 what a monster thanks Scotty
I had an ecoboost for a rental for a week. By far the most comfortable seat I've ever been in. Totally wraps you in. You corner hard, you move with the vehicle; rather than against it. Haven't had the pleasure of driving the GT yet.
I’m in love with my 18 GT
I just picked up my 2019 gt two days ago, I haven’t enjoyed driving a car this much in my life.
I love Scotty - he's a solid guy.
Of course I see a Chevy ad before this video.

I have been looking at the Supra for a week. Now Scotty has me looking at these!
Supras are awesome, but this model Mustang has the same performance as the I6 3l Supras. Plus ya get a V8 with the sound which is what I would go for.
@RickitySplitz The more I look up sports cars/ muscle cars I lean towards Mustang GT.

I have a '16 GT with the performance package. Now I'm thinking about trading it in for the '19.
I had a 15 GT with PP and got a 19 with PP2. Really makes a big difference.
Hey Scotty are you trading in your Celica for this Mustang?
He'll get it when the price of a nice used one is under $10K
If you road test one of these, you will stop saying Aaa 😂
No more ejaculation, I guess!
I'm saying Hi from Galveston. Thanks for your videos Scotty!
Scotty, would you say this model mustang is Reliable??
What?! They upgraded it to independent rear suspension? Unbelievable. Now how will Mustang drivers hit crowds of people when leaving car shows?
They always find a way... Even with the suspension upgrade, the tail still tends to kick out when accelerating
LOL..
IRS has been standard on all Mustangs 2015 and up.
The driver will do it on purpose for the stigma alone
Stangs had irs back in 03 with the termi cobras and all the s550 platforms.
I got a 2017 Gt mustang premium for only 23,000! It’s beautiful I love it!

wait scotty i thought you didn't like computers running your cars
On some he does
If you can't beat em join em. Truthfully technology is growing and it Ford mustang has proven once again that computer is better shifting even in powerful cars. Sooner or later manual cars would've almost extinct in even high performance cars
His wallet has been filled by ford
@@f86tune48 EXACTLY. Nearly everything he says in here, contradicts his overall standpoint on cars. It's brand new, it's an American built car, has push-button start and is predominantly computer-controlled. He's being FAKE as hell. He would NEVER personally suggest any car is worth $38,000

...why do I feel like Ford begged Scotty to make this video.
Please do more HERE IS WHY videos.
Scotty is the best mechanic I've ever had plus he doesn't charge a cent
Roddy Evans I know doug very well he's great and unique , no one can replace his style evntho many did , but the difference is that Scotty is a professional mechanic and funny so he can go deeper in to the car details even than Doug . But I will watch both of them , they are great guys and TH-camrs after all .
The 2020 Shelby Cobra starts out at 90k,but it is a 760 hp. 0-60 in less than 4 seconds.
O My God! Look who's saying "Sometimes he's good to get out of dinosaur' s ages". Wow!
Now, I have faith that the world will change.
Mr. Scotty, I am very proud of you.
But does it have the anti crash mode?
mazoost alg it's not the cars fault, blame the idiot behind the wheel. Lol
no, it's "crowd kill" mode. lol
william bresinski yes it is. Bad aerodynamics, bad weight distribution, chassis cant handle the power, suspension is rubbish.
Tsar Marklovski I agree. I mean, it's both the car and the driver. The driver is asking more than he and the car can make happen together.
Except you didn’t mention that the Ford Mustang GT PP1 A10 in the quarter mile will destroy those cars.
Always been a Chevy guy. But dang can’t beat a 400+ Plus V8 muscle car for 38k
The Camaro is faster, and the same price
Kyle Butzerin you mean heavier 😂
06 Pontiac GTO 400 horse for less than 20k and millions of aftermarket parts
This Old Jew yeah but it looks like a grand pre
Josh Smitty people say it looks like a lot of things which in my mind is a good thing cuz that makes it a sleeper. don't know until it flies by for way less money invested.
I love the 2018 models but I will always love the new edges ❤️
All of those features are nice but I'm wondering how long the mechanical parts would last with all that technology
people buying $40000 sports cars are not worrying about 2 or 3 years from now. most car owners in that bracket have 2/3 vehicles & garages.
Nelda Cardenad honestly probably really long
David honestly I don't think so.
It's not about "beating to computer" its about driving the car yourself. Just planting your foot compared to actually shifting is boring as hell. I'd rather have to control the car myself, which means a clutch, a stick, and the ability to heel-toe.
Unless you have leg problems or just old.
they make the mustang in 6 speed manual too.
or unless u live in nj where u r sitting in traffic during ur commute everyday. driving stick really gets old quick...
piffdaddy420 yeaaah driving sporty cars with heavy clutches in traffic can be a pain
@@XvFenixvX The clutches in Fords are unnecessarily light now. To the point that in the Focus ST they added in artificial resistance just so you could feel how far it's depressed.
My little black 2014 only makes 305hp, but I get 30mpg. Prettiest car I ever had. Congrats on yours!
A very good review, Scotty. Thanks for sharing. It’s nice to see that Ford has done their homework with this car.
I have the GT with the 6 speed manual (personal preference). Terrific car, a blast to drive and an absolute bargain for what you get!
can you give me an update on your mustang? is it reliable like a toyota after those 4 years?
