Yeah he does. His town is more north central than newark jersey city etc if he was from a more north eastern city he would have sounded more of that that tony soprano accent. Jersey city and bayonne have that thick nj accent. Believe it or not it losses its flare just going a couple miles south west. Not trying to sound like im using a compass but its true.

@@naynay1139 Of course what was on the page was brilliant but James brought so much nuance to his performance. He could display happiness, sadness and anger in a matter of seconds and you could see those wheels turning in his head. Just beautiful to watch. And a privilege to see him every week on your TV in your living room.

Cause if It's real his blood pressure must be high as fuck and he could pass out on the set, you know? Or can actors act pissed but deep down they are relaxed? I always had this curiosity.

Each and every one of these actors, are incredible. Michael imperioli seems like he's somewhat still in character when interviewed here. Steven Van Zandt as Silvio, really blew me away throughout the entire show. I can't even believe he hadn't really acted before this show. He was such a natural. He had everything down. The mannerisms, the walking, the facial expressions, the speaking. James Gandolfini has me mesmerized. He looks WAY different than Tony. When he's in character as Tony, even his eyes look like they take on a different shape. It's weird, but that's just how gifted of an actor he was. It's such a shame that he's gone. He should be here with us.

i bumped into Gandolfini in Toys R Us in union Sq. Nyc. Iwas 11 at the video game checkout with my dad and literally bumped into him. he said sorry...TO MEEE (lol) and i said loudly "Hey dad thats the guy from the show you watch" And my dad of course blows it and says "ohhh mann are you Tony Soprano?" lmao and he said "yes, yes i am" and shook hands. A lovely guy. The next day 9-11 happened, two days later Gandolfini was pictured in the paper riding his bike at ground zero...wearing the same exact outfit from Toys R Us....flip flops, cargo shorts.

There are some really good, classic shows out there today but there's just something different in The Sopranos that I haven't seen anywhere else, and I watch everything. Can't wait for David Chase's new movie, semi prequel to The Sopranos about the Jersey riots. Really hope he gives us some good Johnny Boy Soprano and young Junior scenes. R.I.P. Gandolfini

Today is 06/30/20 and I am more taken by The Sopranos than ever before. Yes, I was in my mid to late 20s when HBO was airing The Sopranos, I even have to admit back then sometimes I felt The Show was slow, but now i'm 51, My own baby girl is grown and been married for 5 years. I have two grandchildren now. Guess what im trying to convey is how much my daily struggles have something in common with the show characters. No, im no mob boss but yes, its a daily grind to take care of our responsibilities, which poses the question every man who was born poor or middle class has asked themself; How far would I go to put food, clothes and shelter for our families, not to mention if you have a boy who wants to play ball and needs money for cleats and cups, Or what about having daughters who may want to cheer or sing choir just like Meadow?
So when Michael Imperioli said how these gangsters have to hustle just to have the average life, I can honestly say I do relate, as i'm sure many other husbands & fathers have. Yes, to this fella, I have a whole new appreciation for the entire cast and especially David Chass who without him, we would of never got to know "The Late Great Tony Soprano AKA Jimmy Gandolfini"
BTW, to all Soprano fans out there, David Chass said in a on camera interview "if you need help to understand what the cut to black on final episode "Made In America" means, then look at the last three episodes, its all there.. And if Ur able to understand the symbology from the entire series? then that makes it a bit easier to grasp the ending, In other words Tony was shot dead in the dinner. It even goes a step farther and shows Tony's soul is left in limbo inside the dinner, because all he wanted before he died was to see his true inspiration for all he did and sacrificed for, and that was to get a glimpse of his LOVING, MATURE DAUGHTER that he knew he didn't have to worry about as if he may have failed as a husband to Carmela, but he got it right with Meadow and wanted one more glimpse of her before he died" For a much better explanation then mine, search "Final Episode of Sopranos explained" right here on YT.
    R.I.P. James Gandolfini Sep 18, 1961---June 19, 2013

BEST SHOW EVER. I still binge watch different seasons. I love the physical fight they show above. Carmela though, she nailed that character. Always wore same jewellery throughout each season. The Podcast Michael and Steven have to this day is so good. If anyone hasnt seen it yet, you should. I enjoy it myself. Oh man I know this, will never be another series like this. NEVER.

I love Edie Falco. I miss James Gandolfini. He was a versatile actor. He played a great villian. He played a mobster a couple times, mainly The Sopranos. He played a mob strongman in another movie I forget the name. He played an evil Prision Warden. He played the Large lovable monster in "Where the Wild Things Are"...
He's so missed and still loved by so many. I enjoyed Edie Falco in "Nurse Jackie". She really is great too.
