Silvio personifies a man who the less he speaks, the more he says...and they used that "chemistry" marvelously" on the show. Unfortunately, they should have let him stretch his wings a bit more in a couple of episodes, especially being he was a new actor, that he had the experience now. Id have liked something to happen to Tony that he had to get out of town for a couple of episodes and sillvio takes over. David you f*cked up on that one. Think of the possibilities, and its too late to ever re shoot. Some things as Paulie was saying "This is once in a life-time." What I wonder if most men watching the show envy the actors or...the made guys they play!!!!!! I bet this is one of the first shows ever where nobody would know unless a huge nationwide poll was taken.
iTzYoMaster that show came and went already. Its been on netflix for a long time already. I forgot what it was called. The first few episodes were decent, but he carried the whole show. Terrrible writing and bad actors besides him.
I too have rekindled my love of the greatest TV show ever since JG passed away. From start to finish , with and without the commentary , i love every single second. I have never been so upset about an actor dying.
Loved this show, may the story of The Sopranos live forever. Every actor gave 100% to their characters, no wonder they built such a huge fan base. So wish James Gandolfini was still with us. 😢💙
The Wire-great, Mad Men-great, Breaking Bad-great......but....THE SOPRANOS hands down, no contest, remain the finest tv drama ever filmed. I'm still in withdrawal and want another season or two in the worst way & I've been hearing it's a possibility!!!
@aks73 Its true. Paulie (Tony Sirico) really was a member of the Colombo crime family in the 1970's. He made reference to it in the last season "I made it out of the 70's by the skin of my nuts when the Colombo's were going at it"
"Before turning to acting, Sirico was reportedly a fast-rising mob associate of the Colombo crime family, serving under Carmine "Junior" Persico, and had been arrested 28 times."
I've seen allot of series over the years, but the Sopranos is really something else. From the start u got sucked in by one of the best written series ever. And the casting of the actors could'nt be better. Tomorrow I'm gonna watch the final episode. And I'm sure I'm gonna miss it allot! Sometimes I watched all night long and got to school the next morning without any sleep haha! Everybody HAS to see this show!
"Paulie" served 20 months reduced from 5 years to a gun charge for shaking down night clubs. Not sure if he was actually in the mob. . . but he has "been there."
@sonnyred5050 Actually James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano) said that he was getting feedback from an acquaintance in the mafia. That friend told him to never ever wear shorts again (and this is later incorporated in the series, when the New York family scorns at Tony wearing shorts at his home BBQ)
The last and truly great show HBO has ever had. Not that Six Feet Under and Oz weren't wonderful. I still miss the new episodes on Sunday. I am still waiting for them to release the authorized music box set including the instrumental piece we heard during this vid.
well he actually was... in the 70s he was in the colombo family, has been arrested 28 times and spent a total of 7 years in prison, where he discovered his passion for acting ^^
As I was saying, I am wondering if most of us viewers who envy these guys on the show, would the majority of the viewers want to be the actors or the actual characters they portray? -)
@wwthomass The two can't be compared because they're completely different genres. That being said, if I had to choose between the Simpsons in its heydey and the Sopranos, it'd be tough, but I'd probably pick the Simpsons.
Aj liked to play poker at the Borgata when they filmed there. I tried to bluff the kid with Queen high and he got my chips. I say. I just got whacked I said lol
LOL AJ is a gangster in real life. Look at this: In July 2001, he was arrested for the armed robbery of two Brazilian tourists and for possession of marijuana.
I still want to know If that girl who palayed AJ's girlfriend Blanca, if that is her real face. Its too bad they hooked her up with AJ so her time was short. Id rather have seen her as a friend of Adrianna so they could get into some wild stuff. So guys, if you had to pick, would you take adriannna or Blanca? Me? Its Adrianna by a nose. I think every mans fantasy would be to have two totally different looking women like that both in love with you. Give me 7 years with both of them as my wife(if it was possible) and then I'd die very happy in my sleep.. -) Has Dania Ramirez played in any other movies since Sopranos?
Personally i think giving blanca and adrianna more screen time to 'accidentally" get involved with too much of the familys stuff and cutting out most of aj's and ginny sacks part would have been just fine with me. Imagine walking down the street with both of those women on your arms? You almost have to be a made guy or...a martial arts expert because youd have to fight, guys would be saying really stupid things especially outside of the middle class areas. I'd love to have both of them as mistresses for a year and if one could hold my interest in conversation, maybe even marry one of them. I dont even like blondes and adrainna was just my style. where we men get f-cked is....90% of the men want the same 10% of the women and both of those girls are in that 10%. make it 5% in their case!!!!!! So what do most men have to do, many times settle, or stay single. I chose to stay single. I cant live with an ugly woman no matter how much she loves me. Its sad how we men always make our choices on the physical..... in the end, IF WE ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY! LOL
@wwthomass they're 2 very different things. It's like comparing guns and cannolis. If you say that The Simpsons are better than Family Guy, then I believe you
What a great big disappointment! I just waded through 6 seasons straight of DVD's, suffering through all those mundane appointments of Tony's trying to "figure" out what was up with HIS problem, only to get to the end and have to try and figure out what THAT meaning was. That was a huge disappointment. In my lowly opinion, all that did was leave a whole shitload of options for continuing it in the future, or, worse yet, making a movie of it to finish it off.
Loved the ending with Tony and his family together and happy!
hahaha
They died
@@demetriusl6490 Many died on the show but Tony and his family lived
@@demetriusl6490 “families don’t get hit” if anyone died it was probably just tony

I can't imagine that Janice's actress can actually be a nice person in real life! I just can't!!

Bobby Bacala playing with trains in his conductor outfit was one of the funniest segments in the whole run.
Paulie is the same fucking guy in real life lmao
+Erik Y Maaan, He was a real gangster. Look after it
EXACTLY, the man was the real deal, no acting involved
We were all lucky to get a show like the sopranos television will never be as great as it was when this show was on

Marc Vince The guy who played Sil might star in a new show about a gangster in the witness protection program.
iTzYoMaster that show came and went already. Its been on netflix for a long time already. I forgot what it was called. The first few episodes were decent, but he carried the whole show. Terrrible writing and bad actors besides him.

Paulie's typical movement.
