KC & the Sunshine Band and Earth, Wind and Fire were two of my favorite groups back in the 1970's. Both have fantastic horn sections and their music are always about the happiness and fun aspects of life. Their music is always uplifting and just makes you feel good and they come from a time when people played real instruments without the aid of vocoders or other electronic foolery. Today's music is largely made using computers where the artistry is lost in the process.

The most amazing male voice from Disco was Barry Gibb of the BeeGees. Start with the one where he shows off an amazing falsetto, called Too Much Heaven. Official Video live in studio is best for this song.

You will probably never see this much concentrated Seventies in one place.

You have to review Earth, Wind, and Fire,s Fantasy. I saw them live twice. The horn section is amazing. The costumes, amazing too. The visuals, the music, omg.

I played sax some as a kid, and the amazing part to me is the guys dancing with the horns for the breath control it would take to not only play, but keep moving. I would faint in a minute flat, my vision going dark. That's why I have a theory when everything stops and the camera zooms on the drummer so he can do his thing, everyone else is just taking a deep breath.
